We are currently hiring a Journeyperson Welder in our Swift Current shop. Reporting directly to the Service Supervisor, the position of J/Welder is responsible for a variety of welding related duties primarily within a shop environment.

Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

·         Minimize downtime and maintain production requirements as scheduled.

·         Examine and diagnose machine defects, repair damage and cracks when necessary.

·         Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.

·         Fabricate parts.

·         Maintain safe work practices.

·         Other work assigned as required.

Education & Experience:

·         Journeyperson Welder Technician Certification.

·         Certified in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW).

·         CWB tickets will be considered an asset.

·         Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment/engines would be considered an asset.

·         Any other relevant training as required would be considered an asset
