CH Robinson is hiring a Sourcing Manager to lead the development and execution of domestic sourcing strategies that ensure a reliable, competitive supply network while supporting customer demand and business growth. In this role, you will own key vendor relationships, partner closely with category leadership, and leverage market intelligence to inform sourcing decisions and drive sales performance. Balancing strategic planning with day-to-day execution, the Sourcing Manager will optimize supplier partnerships, procurement plans, and pricing strategies to grow market share, meet customer needs, and effectively manage supply risk.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
Oversees the day-to-day management of the domestic vendor supply plan of the category, to include communication, execution, quoting and contract proposals, service level management and reporting
Promotes innovation within the category, differentiating our offering through packaging, varietals, supply chain efficiency, etc. to remain relevant and competitive in the marketplace
In coordination with the category’s leadership, they are responsible for transactional, promotional, and contract pricing decisions
Manage domestic vendor relationships through vendor review processes to continuously improve performance against category plans
Responsible for actively managing a pipeline of new domestic vendors to meet our customers’ demand, identified in coordination with our commercial teams
Consistently and effectively educates internal teams about all aspects of the category’s transactional market, proactively managing supply fluctuations to avoid gaps and maximizing opportunities to drive volume sales
Works with category leaders to develop strong supply plans that include the right vendors and strategy to meet the requirements of the customer base and enable growth and profitability in the category
Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the team and/or country specific requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 6 years of experience in fresh produce sourcing or sales across US geographies
Ability to travel up to 25% (domestically and internationally)
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Basic understanding of post-harvest and cold chain principles and technologies
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experienced in negotiation, pricing strategy, and building programs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions
Strategic and innovative mindset, able to develop and drive sourcing initiatives from conception to implementation
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, sometimes out of normal business hours
Attention to detail with high standards for work; a customer service mindset

Compensation Range
$65,650.00 - $141,400.00The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base pay only and do not include additional variable compensation.
