Job Description:
IT Infrastructure Management
- Manage, maintain and monitor IT infrastructure including networks, firewalls, switches, connectivity services, and supporting systems.
- Ensure infrastructure availability, reliability, performance and business continuity.
Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Coordinate vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
- Support SOC/SIEM operations, cyber incident response and cybersecurity monitoring.
- Implement cybersecurity policies, controls, awareness programs and compliance initiatives.
Infrastructure Projects
- Lead and support infrastructure enhancement projects, including network upgrades, firewall refreshes, system implementations and site connectivity improvements.
- Manage project execution, technical evaluation, testing and deployment activities.
Budget Planning & Asset Lifecycle Management
- Prepare and manage annual IT operating expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) budgets for infrastructure initiatives.
- Develop business justifications, technical specifications and cost estimates for infrastructure investments.
- Monitor budget utilization and ensure cost-effective procurement of IT assets, software licenses, subscriptions and support services.
- Manage IT asset lifecycle planning, including refresh, replacement, maintenance and disposal.
Vendor & Contract Management
- Coordinate with vendors, service providers and internal stakeholders for infrastructure support, maintenance contracts, and project delivery.
- Participate in technical evaluations, quotation reviews, procurement activities and service performance monitoring.
IT Operations & Support
- Ensure timely resolution of infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.
- Maintain system documentation, configurations, operational procedures and disaster recovery readiness.
Governance, Compliance & Audit
- Support IT governance initiatives, policy implementation, audit activities and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Maintain infrastructure records, audit evidence and security documentation.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with business units, Group IT, cybersecurity teams, vendors and external partners to deliver reliable and secure IT services.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations on infrastructure strategy and improvements.
Education / Professional Qualification
Degree/Executive Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline OR Diploma with more than 4-6 years experiences with specialized certificates.
Professional Experience
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
- Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems administration, or application support.
- Experience in vendor management, budget administration, and IT asset management.
- Proficient in PC troubleshooting, knowledge in basic networking and server administration
- Proficient in using Mac, Linux/UNIX OS
- Proficient in networking systems
- Programming/scripting skills are an added advantage (e.g. Perl, Java, Python)
- Excellent communications skills and able to interact with a variety of technical and scientific personnel including scientists and IT engineers.
