Job Role: Part-Time Marketing Manager
Compensation range: $1,100 AUD - $1,700 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to require roughly 20 hours per week. As a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your schedule, but availability for occasional collaboration during AU business hours is preferred.

Who The Client Is: They are a growing Australian landscaping business that works primarily with residential clients, delivering a range of outdoor landscaping and improvement projects. The business has built a strong reputation for quality work and service and is now growing beyond its original brand, with multiple brands to build and develop online. This is an opportunity for a marketer to help shape their online presence and support the business as it continues to grow.
Role Overview: We are looking for a hands-on, generalist Marketing Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day marketing across a group of brands. The founder creates a lot of the raw content and ideas, and is looking for a marketer who can apply a professional marketing lens to that material and get it published, structured and working across the website, search and social. This is a part-time engagement of around 20 hours per week, with scope to grow as the brands expand, with flexibility to manage your own schedule and workload around agreed deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and running the marketing calendar across multiple brands, including new brands as they launch.
- Publishing and structuring blog and service content on WordPress using Elementor, ensuring each page is well laid out, on brand and built to rank.
- Managing on-page and technical SEO, including keyword research, page structure, internal linking, metadata and content optimisation.
- Taking founder-supplied and AI-generated content and shaping it into polished, on-brand marketing assets.
- Managing organic social media across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest, including planning, scheduling and posting.
- Tracking performance and reporting simply on what is working, what to double down on and what to change.
- Bringing proactive recommendations on channels, campaigns and quick wins as new brands come to market.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience, ideally with SMBs or trades and services businesses.
- Strong practical SEO experience, including content, on-page and technical SEO, with the ability to research keywords, optimise content and track performance.
- Proficient in WordPress and Elementor, with the ability to build, update and optimise pages independently.
- Hands-on experience managing organic social media, including content planning, scheduling and publishing across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
- Experience with SEO and research tools such as Semrush, Ahrefs or DataForSEO, with the ability to adapt to new platforms.
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve efficiency and workflow.
- Excellent written English with a strong eye for copy, structure and brand consistency.
- Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to identify opportunities, recommend solutions and take ownership.
- Working knowledge of Google Ads and paid social is a bonus.

Work Arrangement & Expectations:
This is a remote role that may be set up as either an independent contractor engagement or via an Employer of Record (EOR), depending on client preferences and legal structure.
To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:
- Be available for meetings and collaboration during core [AEST or PHT] business hours
- Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
- Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor” if not employed via EOR)
- Work part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, with potential to increase over time.
- Work fully remotely from their own location in the Philippines.
- Be paid as a monthly retainer.
