Greenfield Engineering, a Saalex company is seeking a NATOPS Support Specialist in Lexington Park, MD to provide engineering, publication, discrepancy-tracking, and program coordination support to the Presidential Helicopters Program (PMA-274) Assistant Program Manager Systems Engineering team. This position supports the management and maintenance of Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) and Naval Air Technical Information Product (NATIP) publications, coordinates technical meetings, tracks engineering discrepancies, prepares formal documentation, and communicates program status.

Salary: $175k-$225k annually (depending on experience)

Essential Functions:
- Manage documents, action lists, and publication records supporting VH NATOPS and NATIP publications.
- Coordinate and support NATOPS conferences with fleet personnel.
- Support AIRS submissions and the incorporation of approved updates into NATOPS and NATIP publications.
- Apply established NATOPS/NATIP language, definitions, and formatting requirements.
- Coordinate access to and use of the NAVAIR airworthiness site.
- Manage the intake, tracking, and resolution of technical and system discrepancies with engineering and test teams.
- Maintain discrepancy information using the VH Engineering and Test Tool and Jira.
- Coordinate meetings, including preparing materials, reserving and setting up meeting spaces, hosting Microsoft Teams meetings, and capturing decisions and action items.
- Prepare and distribute formal meeting minutes documenting decisions, actions, attendees, requirements, and platform capability discussions.
- Collect, proofread, edit, and prepare briefing materials while ensuring appropriate security markings and review coordination.
- Provide routine status updates for taskers, publication progress, completion percentages, and other program activities.
- The ideal candidate is a former rotary-wing pilot or aircrew member with practical knowledge of NATOPS/NATIP requirements and the ability to work closely with engineering, test, fleet, and program personnel.
Requirements
Required:
- Former rotary-wing pilot or aircrew member.
- Working knowledge of NATOPS and NATIP publications, processes, and requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to completing assignments.
- Ability to organize and coordinate meetings, documentation, action items, and program activities.
- 10+ years of relevant experience required.
Desired:
- Technical writing, editing, or technical publication experience.
- Experience supporting NATOPS conferences or coordinating with fleet personnel.
- Familiarity with AIRS submissions and NATOPS/NATIP publication update processes.
- Knowledge of derivative aviation publications.
- Experience using Atlassian Jira.
- Experience customizing Jira workflows or developing dashboards.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
- Experience preparing briefs, formal meeting minutes, requirements artifacts, and status reports.
Security Clearance:
Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
