About the Role

In the role of Transducer Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work within our Lifestyle Automotive Audio Division  You will be responsible for transducer development which is used in vehicle, including virtual design (simulation), sample validation, cost efficacy check The role also works closely with global team to present design solutions

What You Will Do

• Responsible for car audio Transducer – Acoustic design and analysis, development, prototyping, verification, validation and improvement Work closely with other team members, includes PM, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing, Suppliers, Quality Assurance departments to drive successful project and product delivery to meeting timing, cost and quality, prepare technical reports and presentation

• Work with globe team for all Transducer Engineering activities form design concept to end of DV stage

• You will frequently communicate with cross functional teams in different countries

• Produce all relevant documentation such as Bills of Material’s, Sketches, Simulation data, Acoustic data sheets, DFMEA’s, DVP&R’s and all other documentation required to support the design process

• As a technique leader, you should lead the transducer system development team with problem solving techniques to overcome for all transducer issues and obstacles from RFI/RFQ, concept design, and DV

• Keep up to date with the latest developments in world class best practice in relation to audio product design, simulation, analysis and measurements, materials, and manufacturing techniques

• Judgement, Change Orientation, and Results Driven are most critical Harman competencies in your role

What You Need to Be Successful

• Bachelor’s degree, At least 8 years of TE design majoring in Acoustics, Electronics, or other related field

• Minimum of 5 years related experience in AUTOMOTIVE transducer design field

• Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly in English

• Strong knowledge of design and manufacturing principle used to create and manufacture transducer

• Strong knowledge of FEA techniques for loudspeaker simulation, especially in COMSOL simulation skills and familiar with loudspeaker material database Meanwhile has great experience optimizing the transducer design based on simulation results

Bonus Points if You Have

• Master’s degree majoring in Acoustics, Electronics, or other related field

• Minimum 3 years of related experience in AUTOMOTIVE transducer design

• Previous manufacturing operations experience of AUTOMOTIVE transducers

• Detail oriented demonstrated ability from theoretical to implementation-based thinking

• Background in major automotive speakers such as GM, TOYOTA, VW, BMW, Mercedes
