Sobre esta vaga de Corporate Counsel na Bombas
Job Title:
Corporate Counsel
About Bombas:
Bombas is a comfort focused premium basics brand with a mission to help those in need. The company launched in 2013, after the founders learned that socks are the #1 most requested clothing item at homeless shelters. From there, they set out to solve that problem, donating a pair of socks for every pair they sell. How do you donate a lot of socks? You sell a lot. And how do you sell a lot? You make the most comfortable socks in the history of feet. Millions of pairs sold and donated later, Bombas has continued to innovate within its mission and product, introducing new socks, as well as underwear and t-shirts, the #2 and #3 most requested clothing items at homeless shelters, all while continuing to make a positive impact on the community where we all work and live.

The word Bombas is derived from the Latin word for bumblebees. Bees work together to make their hive a better place. At Bombas, we’re inspired by that. We know it’s the collective efforts of our team that keeps the Hive alive and strong - a team that is diverse and inclusive. Different perspectives strengthen our ability to make the most comfortable versions of the products people wear closest to their bodies every day and to serve the communities where we all work and live. We are committed to continuously building a Hive where all are welcomed, seen, and heard regardless of age, color, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, genetics, physical or mental ability, protected veteran status race, religion and sexual orientation. As a team, we will strive to create room for different experiences and empower all voices.
About the Job:
We are looking for a driven, meticulous and resourceful transactional lawyer to join our Legal Team as our Corporate Counsel, reporting directly to our SVP of Legal. The ideal candidate has 4-6+ years of relevant experience at a leading law firm and/or in-house at a consumer-facing eCommerce business. This role will support a variety of internal legal matters, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts, advising on corporate, privacy and employment matters, and assisting in the management of Bombas's IP portfolio. Beyond substantive legal work, this person will leverage technology and automation to play a pivotal role in modernizing how the team operates.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts of varying complexity, including licensing, vendor, SaaS, master services, confidentiality, data privacy, partnership and wholesale agreements.
- Run the Legal Department's contract lifecycle process end-to-end, including evaluating, implementing and optimizing AI and automation tools that reduce manual contract administration.
- Counsel colleagues on a wide variety of legal issues, including employment law, privacy/data security, consumer protection, intellectual property and general corporate matters.
- Provide concise, plain-English legal advice to each function within the business.
- Create and implement company-wide and Legal Department templates, policies and processes - building repeatable, scalable systems rather than one-off documents.
- Drive legal operations for the department, including contract management and vendor approvals, the legal technology stack and identifying and implementing leverage through AI and automation.
- Manage IP brand protection monitoring and IP portfolio maintenance, using tooling to scale coverage efficiently.
- Manage compliance and risk-tracking operations and platforms, including related to privacy, employment and supply chain.
- Manage and liaise with a roster of external counsel when additional support or expertise is needed.
- Partner directly with the SVP of Legal to identify, pilot and scale AI tools across the Legal Department's workflows.
What we’ll love about you:
- You are a proactive self-starter who takes ownership of projects and is energized by juggling multiple priorities at once.
- You are highly organized with impeccable attention to detail.
- You are driven and hold yourself to a high bar, always looking for ways to bee better.
- You have a genuine curiosity about all facets of our business.
- You get energized by building systems and processes, not just executing within them — you'd rather automate a repetitive task than staff around it.
- You are a skilled drafter, problem solver and issue-spotter, with a practical approach to legal issues and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- You don't take yourself too seriously — you bring some lightness and humor to the work, even when the subject matter is serious, and you feel genuinely lucky to be part of this team.
- You're a generous collaborator — quick to help a colleague, but just as quick to speak up when something doesn't look right.
- You have a strong belief in our mission and understand the importance of giving back.
- You are comfortable staying focused while working in an in-person office environment.
What you’ll love about us:
- We are a team of smart, interesting, diverse, funny, and loving people.
- We offer competitive compensation, employer paid health, medical and dental benefits, 401k with match, paid parental leave, snacks, socks and a fun, relaxed office environment.
- We take the responsibility to make sure you are excited, happy, and find fulfillment in your work very seriously.
- We value fun. This is why we host office lunches, offsite team outings and company retreats.
- We believe in giving back to the community and helping those in need, which is why we volunteer as a team regularly.
- We believe success comes from the collective effort of all, which is why all full-time employees receive equity in the business.
- We understand the value of health, relaxation, spending time with friends and family, and traveling the world and offer flexible paid time off for all full-time employees. This includes over 20 paid company holidays, year-round "Flexible Fridays" and unlimited vacation, sick, and wellness days.
- We understand the importance of communication and offer a monthly phone stipend for all full-time employees.
- We believe a healthy body equals a healthy mind, so we offer a $100 monthly wellbeing reimbursement to all full-time employees.
What you’ll bring:
- 4-6+ years of relevant experience at a leading law firm or in-house at a consumer-facing eCommerce business.
- JD that is admitted, active and in good standing with the New York State bar.
- Significant exposure to sophisticated commercial, corporate or transactional matters, with experience negotiating a variety of complex commercial agreements.
- Working knowledge of privacy law, including applicable privacy and data security compliance.
- Comfort managing legal operations — including contract management systems, vendor/technology platforms and process design — along with a genuine interest in applying AI and automation to legal and operational workflows.
- Ability to assess and balance both legal and business risk.
- Experience with cost-effective management of outside legal resources.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in intellectual property, advertising, consumer protection and/or employment law.
- Experience implementing or evaluating legal tech, contract lifecycle management platforms, or AI tools within a legal department.
