Are you passionate about driving data transformation within a global Compliance organisation? As a Compliance Data Methodology Specialist, you will lead the delivery of strategic data initiatives that enable Compliance to become increasingly data driven. You will act as the central point of contact for Compliance data needs and help unlock the value of data, AI and GenAI to strengthen compliance risk management across ING.
The team
The Compliance Data Methodology team is part of the Compliance Frameworks & Control department within Group Compliance. Compliance Frameworks & Control is responsible for risk-agnostic Compliance activities and the management of Compliance functional processes globally. The department leads Compliance Data Methodology, Compliance Ongoing Assurance & Insights and Compliance Deep Dives & Diagnostics, supporting a controlled, efficient and effective global Compliance function.
Within the Compliance Data Methodology team, you will contribute to identifying and delivering data, tooling and (Gen)AI initiatives for the global Compliance function. The team oversees data management, data quality, risk assessments, legal frameworks and technical infrastructure from a Compliance perspective, while also managing forecasting and oversight of strategic data initiatives.
Roles and responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the execution and delivery of Compliance data initiatives while partnering with stakeholders across Compliance, Data and Technology functions globally.
Own and manage a complex Compliance data delivery roadmap and support priority setting.
Act as the central point of contact for Compliance data requirements and initiatives.
Discuss and validate data architecture, data exchange agreements and legal documentation required for data ingestion.
Present, influence and negotiate Compliance priorities during quarterly planning and governance cycles.
Identify strategic opportunities to leverage data in support of Compliance risk management processes.
Partner with analytics teams and AI leadership to identify AI and GenAI opportunities for the Compliance function.
Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical solutions that provide actionable business and regulatory insights.
Lead and contribute to strategic projects from a data, analytics and governance perspective.
Identify challenges, propose solutions and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders and decision makers.
Drive improvements in data literacy, data capabilities, digitalisation initiatives and future technologies across the global Compliance organisation.
Organise and contribute to data awareness campaigns and roadshows for a global Compliance audience.

You bring 8+ years of experience in data, analytics or data transformation roles and have successfully led complex data change initiatives.
You have strong hands-on experience with AI, machine learning and rapid prototyping to turn innovative ideas into practical solutions.
You are proficient in Python and related analytical libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow and Dash.
You have experience developing dashboards and visualisation solutions using tools such as Power BI, Cognos or similar platforms.
You understand data architecture, data governance and data ingestion processes and can translate technical concepts into business value.
You have experience working in Compliance or possess a strong understanding of Compliance-related processes and challenges.
You are highly effective in stakeholder management and can influence across functions, countries and organisational levels.
You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and are comfortable navigating complex environments independently.
You demonstrate strong analytical judgement, learning agility and an innovative mindset.
You communicate fluently in English and build trusted relationships through collaboration, accountability and constructive feedback.
