About your manager

Tomáš Karas is a Director who leads our team of data experts and business intelligence projects. Combining the roles of Data Architect and Project Manager, he helps clients build large-scale data platforms and transform data into business value. His teams deliver solutions that automate complex processes and save clients thousands of hours of operational effort. Outside of work, you'll likely meet him at a team get-together or taking care of his busy family and their famous guinea pig farm.

Job description & summary

As a Cloud Data Architect, you will play a key role in designing and delivering modern cloud-based data platforms for leading organizations. You will work closely with clients, engineers, and business stakeholders to create scalable, efficient, and future-proof data solutions.

• Design and implement cloud-based data platforms using Databricks, Snowflake, and GCP.

• Lead migrations from on-premise data warehouses to modern cloud environments.

• Define target architectures and data platform strategies aligned with business objectives.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Drive performance optimization and cost efficiency across cloud data platforms.

• Lead and mentor delivery teams throughout implementation projects.

• Establish best practices for cloud data architecture, governance, and engineering.

• Support solution design reviews and architectural decision-making.

• Ensure successful integration of data platforms within broader enterprise ecosystems.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices.

• Proven experience designing and delivering cloud data platforms and architectures.

• Deep understanding of Databricks and Snowflake ecosystems.

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Strong background in data engineering and data warehouse modernization.

• Experience leading teams or streams within complex implementation projects.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
