Caregiver  – Duluth, GA

A family in Duluth, GA 30097 is seeking a dependable, alert, and compassionate overnight caregiver to support an 82-year-old adult living with Parkinson's disease, arthritis, low blood pressure, and syncope. This non-smoking, pet-free home with a need of dedicated nighttime supervision to ensure safety, fall prevention, and personal care throughout the night.

Schedule:

• Primary Shifts Needed: Saturday – Tuesday nights, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (±1 hour flexibility available)
• Backup Care: Wednesday – Friday nights (coverage needed on an as-needed basis)
• Future Potential: Potential to add daytime shifts longer term
• Start: ASAP

Family Specifications:

• Home environment supporting an 82-year-old adult living with family
• Smoke-free household
• No pets in the home
• Values a vigilant, patient, and gentle caregiver focused on nighttime safety and comfort

Responsibilities:

• Providing awake overnight supervision to ensure safety and prevent unassisted bed exits
• Assisting with safe mobility, positioning, and fall prevention
• Managing personal care, including adult diaper changes and nighttime hygiene
• Applying topical pain medication for lower back arthritis as needed

Requirements:

• Proven experience in senior caregiving, mobility support, and fall prevention
• Experience or familiarity caring for individuals with Parkinson's disease
• Must be able to remain fully awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM shift
• Ability to assist with physical transfers and personal care tasks
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and Home Health Aide (HHA) training preferred

Compensation:

• $15 – $25 per hour
