Requirements
The Assistant Salon & Education Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, salon development, customer engagement, and education initiatives across assigned professional salon accounts. The role builds and strengthens customer partnerships, identifies business opportunities, delivers product knowledge and technical training programs, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and elevate the customer experience.
1. Sales & Business Development
- Execute account growth plans to achieve assigned sales, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories.
- Grow existing salon accounts by increasing product penetration and retail sales performance.
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with salon owners, managers, stylists, and key decision-makers.
- Conduct regular business reviews and salon visits to identify growth opportunities and address business needs.
- Serve as a trusted business partner by understanding customer requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive account management and timely issue resolution.
3. Education & Training
- Conduct product knowledge, consultation, and technical training sessions for salon teams and business partners.
- Deliver workshops, demonstrations, and education programs that enhance product confidence, technical expertise, and product usage.
- Support new product launches through education and customer engagement activities.
- Coach salon professionals on consultation techniques, product recommendations, and retail-selling best practices.
- Gather customer feedback and identify education opportunities that contribute to business growth.
4. Commercial Planning & Execution
- Execute account-specific promotional plans aligned with brand and commercial objectives.
- Support the implementation of product launches, promotional campaigns, education activities, and customer events.
- Monitor retail performance and recommend action plans to improve sales productivity and product adoption.
- Ensure brand standards, merchandising guidelines, and service excellence are consistently executed across assigned accounts.
5. Business Performance Management
- Monitor sales performance and business productivity across assigned accounts.
- Support sales forecasting and demand planning activities.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure receivables remain within agreed credit terms.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Customer Service teams to ensure product availability and timely order fulfillment.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Support the execution of promotional campaigns, product launches, customer engagement activities, and education programs.
- Share customer insights, market intelligence, and operational feedback to support continuous business improvement.
7. Reporting & Business Analysis
- Prepare regular sales reports, account reviews, forecasts, and business updates.
- Analyze sales performance, customer trends, and business opportunities.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve account performance, customer engagement, and sales results.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Cosmetology, or a related field.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Account Management, Salon Operations, Professional Beauty, Haircare, FMCG, or Retail industries.
- Experience working with professional salon accounts, beauty brands, or conducting education and training programs is highly preferred.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets, developing customer relationships, and identifying business opportunities.
