The role 

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing programs with OEM customers, spanning from early-stage advanced development initiatives to full-scale production programs. You will collaborate closely with the customer to define and manage project plans, ensuring that requirements are seamlessly integrated into the internal development pipeline and delivered on schedule. A deep understanding of the automotive industry and the development of embodied AI systems is essential to effectively guide these programs, identify and report potential risks, and implement a robust change management. You will be at the forefront of delivering meaningful impact to real-world customers.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and support cross-functional teams in executing complex customer programs, ensuring the successful achievement of program objectives.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive project management framework, including project planning, risk management, change management, and task coordination.
• Engage with customers to understand and address their technical requirements and needs.
• Collaborate closely with teams across Product, R&D, and other departments to translate customer demands into clear, actionable technical requirements.
• Ensure efficient reporting both externally to customers and internally within the organisation.
• Work closely with internal development teams to align customer requirements with internal milestone planning and execution.
• Provide first-level support to customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.

About the Role   

The Senior Regional Manager is accountable for end-to-end performance of a regional customer/partner operations area, typically spanning multiple countries, sites, or vendor partners. This role translates company strategy into a cohesive regional roadmap, balances cross site tradeoffs, and ensures consistent, high quality service delivery at scale.   

You will act as the regional authority on customer operations performance, risks, and improvement initiatives, while developing strong leadership benches and resilient operating models.   

Key Responsibilities   

Regional & Operational Ownership  

• Lead multi-site, multi-country customer operations (including inhouse and BPO partners where applicable) 
• Own end to end regional outcomes, including service quality, efficiency, resiliency, and cost to serve 
• Balance cross site tradeoffs across capacity, language coverage, channel mix, routing, and vendor strategy    

Strategy & Roadmap   

• Translate CEG strategy into a 12–18 month regional roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that deliver measurable customer and business impact 
• Anticipate demand shifts (seasonality, launches, policy or regulatory changes) and lead proactive regional adjustments 
• Sponsor and govern cross site initiatives to ensure consistency and scalability   

Improvement, Innovation & Resiliency   

• Scale adoption of tools, technologies, and best practices across sites 
• Institutionalize experimentation standards, operational rigor, and learning across the regional leadership team 
• Strengthen regional resiliency through standardized playbooks (e.g. surge, BCP, knowledge governance)   

Stakeholder Leadership   

• Serve as the regional “go to” for customer operations performance, risks, and initiatives 
• Bring together WFM, QA, Training, Analytics, Product/Tech, Policy, and Commercial partners to land regionwide solutions 
• Communicate regional performance, scenarios, and recommendations to senior stakeholders with minimal supervision   

People & Organization Leadership   

• Lead through Regional Managers and/or Vendor Managers, setting a high bar for performance management and leadership capability 
• Design and evolve regional org structures, language pools, and shift strategies to meet KPIs 
• Build successor ready pipelines, enable cross site talent mobility, and develop future senior leaders 
• Address underperformance decisively, fairly, and in line with Agoda values

The role 

The Materials Program Manager (Japan) is responsible for end-to-end materials execution for Wayve’s autonomous vehicle and hardware programs in Japan. This includes materials procurement, supplier coordination, CTB readiness, material receiving, secure storage, and outbound shipping, in close partnership with Engineering, Operations, and the global Supply Chain team.

This role ensures that materials flow efficiently from suppliers through receipt, storage, and delivery to workshops or vehicle upfitting locations, while maintaining visibility, cost control, and compliance. The role operates in a fast-paced, Agile environment and plays a critical part in taking early-stage hardware development toward scalable execution.

Key Responsibilities

Materials Program Ownership & Execution

• Own and manage materials programs enabling Wayve’s autonomous vehicle and hardware development in Japan
• Drive execution across procurement, receiving, storage, and shipping to meet aggressive program milestones
• Identify and manage dependencies and blockers across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure smooth materials flow

Materials Procurement & CTB Readiness

• Own materials procurement activities in coordination with sourcing and purchasing teams
• Drive and manage the CTB (Clear to Build) process with suppliers,  contract manufacturers, workshop teams, and internal stakeholders
• Ensure clear visibility into procurement strategy, material availability, lead times, and build readiness
• Support supplier negotiations on pricing, availability, and scale readiness

Supplier & Partner Management

• Work closely with Engineering to onboard, set up, and manage suppliers and partners within the Japanese market
• Own tracking of supplier progress, deliverables, and handoffs
• Build strong working relationships with suppliers across a broad range of industries
• Support escalation management and issue resolution, acting as the primary local point of contact

Materials Receiving, Storage & Shipping

• Coordinate and oversee material receiving in Japan, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and proper documentation
• Manage secure storage of high-value, long-lead-time materials, including inventory tracking and access controls
• Coordinate outbound shipping of materials to workshops, vehicle upfitting locations, or other Wayve sites
• Work with local Japanese logistics and customs requirements and internal teams to ensure compliant and timely shipments

Engineering Collaboration & Design Support

• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to embed strong engineering and manufacturing practices
• Support design-for-manufacturing and design-for-scale decisions
• Help guide early-stage designs toward scalable, cost-effective production solutions

Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication

• Act as a central point of coordination across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and external partners
• Drive alignment and decision-making across stakeholders with competing priorities
• Clearly communicate risks, tradeoffs, and decisions to both working-level teams and leadership 

Success Metrics

• On-time materials procurement and readiness aligned to program milestones

Essential Qualifications

• Experience bringing newly developed products to scale through supplier and partner relationships
• Strong project or program management experience with the ability to influence across teams

Wayve is building the AI Driver to power autonomous mobility at global scale. As we deploy robotaxi services with leading partners, we are hiring a Strategic Partnerships Manager to help scale our commercial ecosystem in London and Tokyo. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of autonomy, mobility platforms, and automotive OEMs — focused on enabling safe, scalable L4 deployment.

You will lead day-to-day commercial execution of Wayve’s robotaxi partnerships in your market, working closely with ride-hailing platforms, OEM partners, and cross-functional internal teams to deliver successful pilot launches and fleet scale-up.

This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution across product readiness, operational launch, and commercial scaling.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive commercial execution of robotaxi deployments in London or Tokyo.
• Serve as the primary partnership manager to interface with ride-hailing and broader ecosystem partners.
• Drive launch readiness across technical integration, fleet ramp, and operational milestones.
• Track performance KPIs and proactively manage commercial and operational risks.
• Coordinate cross-functionally across Engineering, Product, Safety, Operations, Policy, and Marketing to ensure successful deployments.
