In this position, you will work closely with clients in helping to define geospatial-centric solutions and implementation of those solutions. The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. Responsibilities
- Help clients translate real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art solutions
- Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions for customer requirements and work with customers to prepare implementations, change management, and migration activities
- Manage projects and support customers throughout the entire project life-cycle, including requirements, analysis, design, build, and implementation
- Lead the scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables through planning, tracking, quality assurance, change control, and risk management
- Establish, develop, and expand relationships with customers, partners, and distributors
- Work with Esri’s marketing and sales teams to develop new business
- Lead innovative proposals and win work that showcases forward-leaning solutions
- Mitigate challenges through proper escalation to achieve project and program completion
- Collaborate with Esri’s practice managers and marketing and sales teams to support business development for technology and implementation patterns with new and existing customers

Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
- Professional experience supporting the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise geospatial technology (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and/or ArcGIS Platform)
- Demonstrated ability to translate a customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into solutions
- Ability to develop project designs, work plans, budgets and schedules
- Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, remote sensing, image processing, computer science, or a related STEM field
Recommended Qualifications
- Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, and more

GIS Industry Solutions Specialist - Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC)

Overview
As the AEC Industry Solutions Specialist, you will bring first-hand experience from the construction, engineering, and project delivery sectors to help shape and share Esri’s vision for how GIS transforms the way the built world is designed, constructed, and operated. This role emphasizes the construction lifecycle from planning and design through preconstruction, field execution, and operations and focuses on how location intelligence, digital twins, and integrated data environments enable safer, more efficient, and more predictable projects.
You’ll collaborate with Esri’s AEC Industry Manager and cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product, professional services, and partners) to build awareness, foster engagement, and drive adoption of Esri technology across the global construction ecosystem. This includes creating compelling thought leadership, supporting industry events, and engaging directly with contractors, engineers, architects, and owners to showcase how GIS connects the jobsite to the office and the project to the planet.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the AEC Industry Manager and cross-functional teams to drive Esri’s construction-focused industry strategy, connecting field workflows with design, asset management, and operations
- Develop and publish construction-centered content including webinars, case studies, white papers, and social media that demonstrates the impact of GIS in areas such as project coordination, scheduling, site logistics, field data capture, safety, and sustainability
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and technology partners to capture and communicate customer success stories that highlight measurable outcomes like reduced rework, better cost control, or improved situational awareness
- Support Esri’s presence at construction and infrastructure events (such as AU, CONEXPO, AGC IT Forum, IMGIS, and ESRI UC), organizing sessions, presentations, and networking opportunities that elevate GIS in AEC
- Build and nurture the AEC community through online platforms, partner collaboration, and user groups focused on construction innovation
- Provide insights on construction market trends, competitive technologies, and emerging digital delivery standards (such as ISO 19650, ASCE 38/75, openBIM, digital twins)
- Contribute to go-to-market and marketing campaigns that align with Esri’s AEC growth goals and showcase tangible ROI for construction professionals
- Serve as an internal advocate for the construction industry, helping Esri teams better understand jobsite realities, project delivery challenges, and data integration needs
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the construction or AEC industry, ideally with roles in project management, digital delivery, VDC/BIM, field operations, or technology implementation
- Proven understanding of construction project workflows, including preconstruction, design coordination, logistics planning, progress tracking, and asset turnover
- Working knowledge of how GIS integrates with CAD, BIM, and field applications to support digital construction and infrastructure delivery
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value for construction audiences
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects in fast-paced environments

Overview
Leverage your transportation industry experience to inform, educate, and inspire Esri users and prospects in the Rail Industry. Identify, craft, and execute marketing campaigns that support targeted goals and objectives. As an industry specialist, you will research and report on financial, technological, and other factors that affect the Rail market and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to help define, execute, and measure the Rail Industry marketing plan.
Responsibilities
- Assist Industry Managers in engaging with marketing, sales, products, professional services, international distributors, education, and partner teams to deliver campaign tactics successfully
- Support a regular cadence of content (such as webinars, customer success stories, eBooks, social media, blogs, and more) that drives awareness, demand, and community
- Draw upon industry knowledge, research, writing, and collaboration skills
- Prepare for, manage logistics and personally engage in rail industry-related conferences, tradeshows, seminars, webinars, and user group meetings
- Contribute to the growth of the Rail Industry community on social media and the Esri Community
- Work collaboratively with marketing staff to create, manage, and execute campaign tactics, including effective internal communications, to meet team goals
- Track campaign progress and proactively work with internal and external customers to move activities forward
- Prepare content using rail industry knowledge, research, and relationships, including presentations, StoryMaps, eBooks, blogs/articles, technical papers, web, social media, press, and advertising
- Research, evaluate, and assist efforts on strategic industry positioning and gain validation by internal and external experts

Overview
Leverage your telecommunications industry experience and subject matter expertise to identify, craft, and deliver industry campaigns that support targeted goals and objectives. As an industry specialist, you will research and report on financial, technological, and other factors that affect the telecommunications market and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to help define, execute, and measure the telecommunications marketing plan.
Responsibilities
- Create, manage, and execute campaign tactics and related internal communications to meet integrated campaign success goals, including
- Conferences, trade shows, seminars, webinars, and workshops
- Collateral including blogs, white papers, brochures, and articles
- Web and social media
- Press media and advertising
- Align and collaborate with multiple Esri teams including marketing, sales, product development, international distributors, training, and partner teams to successfully deliver campaigns and qualified leads
- Work with Industry Managers and Marketing Specialists to track campaign progress at every step and proactively work with internal and external customers to steer activities in the right direction
- Research, evaluate, and lead efforts on strategic industry positioning specific to the logistics industry; gain validation by internal and external experts
- Collaborate across business development and professional services teams for identification of industry-specific solutions requirements and the development of industry offers
- Develop and maintain a strong [specific] user community through printed material, on- line forums, and user groups
