We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Staff to join our growing team in Vancouver, WA.  PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITES 

• Receive direction on engineering tasks and maintain active communication with project managers. 
• Effectively manage multiple assignments and prioritize work with input from project managers and professional engineers. 
• Willingness to work in a dynamic team environment involving multiple engineering disciplines and project types. 
• Preparation of construction documents for both public and private infrastructure projects.  
• Prepare written technical reports to document roadway and stormwater design decisions in accordance with local, state and national standards.  
• Prepare accurate stormwater models to evaluate stormwater conveyance, treatment, and detention requirements. 
• Prepare utility designs for stormwater, municipal water and sanitary sewer systems 
• Deliver engineering design projects using Autodesk Civil 3D software.  

 QUALIFICATIONS 

 Required Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering  
• Experience working in a Civil Engineering related field
• Aptitude to be able to perform civil engineering design tasks associated with municipal public works projects and/or private development projects 
• Flexibility and creativity in project approaches and openness to learn and develop your career 
• Knowledge of stormwater analysis strategies and techniques 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. 
• Represent yourself and the company in a professional manner 

 Desirable Qualifications 

• Proficient skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D highly desired. 
• Obtained Engineer in Training (EIT) license or ability to obtain within one year 
• Familiarity with HydroCAD stormwater modeling software 
• Relevant internship or previous professional experience.

  • 35-acre multi-phased urban redevelopment project that is focused on providing employment and affordable housing in the urban core of Vancouver, Washington. The project includes major signalized intersection improvements, two new roundabouts, and two miles of new collector roadways and a linear parkway and community plaza. Apex is providing engineering support for eight different project phases to prepare the site for private development investments.
• Broadmoor Redevelopment
  • PBS is assisting the City of Pasco to best use their available Tax Increment Financing to develop several miles of arterial roadways, five signalized intersections, and a multilane roundabout. The goal of this project is to activate the mixed use, multi-modal Broadmoor development area for private development investments. Thus, steering the needed city expansion in a way that allows for planned community tailored to cohesive short term buildout.
