About the role

We’ve spent the last two years actively shaping EU legislation to ensure our Account Verification Services (AVS) became the gold standard. After successfully lobbying for a safer financial landscape, we’ve emerged as the  EU market leader in Account Verification (VOP, CoP), widely considered the standard in the industry. We have outgrown the "blank canvas" startup phase, but we are not a rigid corporate machine. We have been building and expanding our product suite and are looking for a new colleague.

As a VP Business Development you will own the entire commercial domain with the goal of growth across Europe—spanning Sales, Presales, and Partnerships. Your objective is to leverage our commercial teams and focus on Tier-1 banks as our primary channel to reach their corporate clients.  Focus will be on adding new logos as well as complex, strategic cross-selling (e.g., Fraud Risk Indicators and Global Solutions) of our additional products.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team to reclaim "home markets" where local schemes currently dominate and penetrate the Top 50 European banks.

• Strategy Execution: Own and implement the "Bank-as-a-Channel" model across the EU and UK. You will orchestrate Sales, Account Directors, Inside Sales, and Partnerships to ensure our services are sold to and through major financial institutions.
• Team Leadership & Evolution: Lead and mentor a team of ~12 direct reports located primarily in NL, with local presence in DE, UK, and BE.
• You will evaluate the current structure and evolve it to support complex, high-value technical sales.
• Tier-1 Pursuit: Personally drive or provide "heavy-weight" support for engagements with Top 50 targets (e.g., Barclays, HSBC, BNP Paribas).
• Cross-Functional Synergy: Act as the bridge between the market and our Product/Marketing teams. You must translate complex technical solutions into clear commercial value propositions, navigating local markets and regulations.

About you

We are looking for someone who thrives in the "middle" phase of a company. You have the analytical depth to look at a local market’s regulatory environment and pivot the GTM strategy on the fly. You are knowledgeable about the fraud space and understand where the needs of banks and other organisations are. 

We need a human oriented commercial leader, you are as comfortable coaching a junior Inside Sales rep as you are sitting across from a C-level executive at a Tier 1 bank. Furthermore, you have:

• 10+  years of experience in Enterprise software sales, selling complex SaaS, Fintech, or Regtech solutions to C-suite stakeholders ideally at major European Banks.
• Solid experience leading commercial teams through international growth.
• Hands-on experience with GTM Localization:. You know how to pivot strategies for different regulatory environments and business cultures. You have the analytical skill to look at local market realities and adapt the value proposition, pricing, or outreach strategy accordingly.
• Collaborative, data-driven, and hands-on leader able to turn insight into action
• Results-oriented, with a strong bias for action and ownership of outcomes. Building is in your DNA. 
• Resilience & Agility: You aren't rattled by the "messiness" of a scale-up. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can pivot when a specific EU vertical requires a different approach

Data Platform

• Build and maintain production-grade data pipelines using dbt, Spark, or Airflow, with a focus on performance, observability, and data quality.

AI & LLM Applications

• Design and deploy LLM-based solutions

What We Are Looking For

We’re seeking someone who has:

• Fluency in English (mandatory); Dutch or French is a plus.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent), in Data Engineer, AI Engineer or similar role
• Strong Python and SQL skills, with a focus on production-quality code.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT principles or LLM orchestration frameworks, depending on your track
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS, or Databricks) (Professional Certification is a plus).
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

About the role

As SurePay scales internationally, we'er looking for a Field Marketing Manager who thinks in pipeline, not just programs. This is a demand generation role at its core, one that uses field, digital, and partner channels together to move prospects from awareness to revenue.  You'll own the full regional marketing motion: building integrated campaign plans, running high-impact field events, and making sure every touchpoint, from a conference in Chicago to a roundtable in Utrecht, is tied back to measurable business outcomes. You'll work closely with sales, partnerships, and customer success, and you'll build the playbook as you run it. 

This is a high-ownership role for someone who is equally comfortable in a campaign brief and a pipeline review.

Responsibilities include:

• Campaign Ownership: Develop and execute fully integrated marketing plans to drive new logo acquisition, pipeline creation, and revenue. Translate global campaign themes into regional, multi-channel programs tailored to our key verticals and buyer personas.
• In-person & Online Events: Own the end-to-end execution of SurePay’s field program: trade shows, executive roundtables, webinars, and partner co-marketing. 
• Pipeline Attribution & Performance: Take accountability for marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline targets. Use HubSpot, Dreamdata, and AI-assisted workflows to track attribution, report on ROI, and make data-backed investment recommendations.
• Partner Co-Marketing Program: Build and execute co-marketing initiatives with strategic partners. Know how to extract maximum value and brand presence.
• Sales & Customer Success Alignment: Create a field marketing rhythm that Sales and Customer Success rely on Bridge the gap between marketing activity and commercial outcomes. Establish a "Gold Standard" that makes prospects feel FOMO when they miss a SurePay invite.
• Budget Ownership: Manage the field marketing budget with an ROI-first mindset. Treat spend decisions as if it’s your own business.

About you

We are looking for a T-Shaped field marketer, broad enough to own a go-to-market motion, deep enough to execute it without hand-holding. You are metric-driven and process-oriented; proactive and always thinking one step ahead; a natural collaborator; and a continuous learner. 

To be successful in this role we believe you need:

• 5+ years in Marketing, with at least 3+ years specifically in Field Marketing or Demand Generation within B2B SaaS, preferably across European markets.
• Scale Experience: You’ve worked in a company in a high-growth environment ($10m to $50m ARR). You know what "great" looks like, but you’re still willing to do the work yourself.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You can get sales invested in your programs, not just informed about them.
