ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at LVT, you will be a key architect in the evolution of our hardware-software ecosystem. You will design, build, and test the mission-critical software that powers our intelligent mobile units, ensuring they operate with elite precision in the physical world. This is a role for a technical leader who is passionate about writing high-quality code, driving architectural innovation, and mentoring a talented team to deliver industry-leading technology. You will bridge the gap between complex hardware requirements and our sophisticated AI platform, directly impacting the safety and security of our customers.
This role is based in-office out of our Headquarters in American Fork, Utah.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a division of software engineers. Help set the technical direction, define best practices, and drive the adoption of modern software engineering methodologies and technologies.
Architecture and Design: Collaborate with architects and other senior engineers to design scalable and robust software solutions. Review and provide guidance on system architecture, design patterns, and technology choices. Drive technical excellence and ensure adherence to coding standards.
Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering. Stay up to date with advancements in the field and proactively identify opportunities to leverage new technologies for improved product development.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as product management, quality assurance, and operations to ensure seamless integration and successful delivery of software products. Foster effective communication channels and promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software development processes, productivity, and efficiency. Identify bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and implement tools and methodologies to optimize software development lifecycle.

SUMMARY
The primary role of the Maintenance Mechanic is to provide competent & effective Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance support to the Plant and Facility operations in a safe manner. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, adjusting and repairing of plant machinery to meet industry standards while ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to USDA, OSHA, FDA, EPA and Local Government. The position will require a flexible schedule focusing on preventive maintenance and timely repairs.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Product Compliance Engineer will be the primary technical authority responsible for ensuring that all electro-mechanical security systems and associated components (cameras, power systems, enclosures, networking hardware) meet global regulatory standards for market access, safety, and electromagnetic compatibility. This role is critical for the North American market (US and Canada) and involves driving compliance from the initial product design concept through mass production and sustaining engineering.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Regulatory Strategy & Design Support
Standards Research: Research, interpret, and track regulatory and industry standards, including those from the Reach, RHOS, FCC, ISED, PTCRB, UL, and CSA, particularly for wireless, battery-powered, and outdoor electro-mechanical equipment.
Design Guidance: Provide proactive, in-depth guidance to Electrical, Mechanical, and Firmware engineering teams on current and future compliance requirements.
Labeling and Documentation: Own the creation and approval of all required regulatory markings, product labels, and compliance sections within user manuals and technical files (e.g., Declaration of Conformity).
Testing & Certification
Test Plan Development: Define and execute comprehensive compliance test plans (Pre-compliance and Formal).
Pre-Compliance Testing: Help plan in-house pre-compliance testing for Radiated and Conducted Emissions, Immunity, and ESD using laboratory equipment (spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators).
Agency Management: Coordinate all formal testing with Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs).
Troubleshooting: Works with partners and engineering teams to rapidly diagnose and implement design fixes (hardware or firmware) for any non-compliance issues found during testing to prevent costly program delays.
Market Access & Sustaining Compliance
Certification Maintenance: Maintain and renew all existing product certifications and manage the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process to ensure that product modifications do not invalidate current approvals.
Global Market Access: Support expansion into international markets.
Industry-Specific Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards relevant to federal and government contracts, such as the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Compliance Engineer or Product Safety Engineer for electro-mechanical, IoT, or wireless products.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC/EMI) principles and mitigation techniques.
Hands-on experience with lab equipment for pre-compliance testing (e.g., spectrum analyzer, signal generator).
Familiarity with interpreting PCB layouts and mechanical drawings for compliance assessment.
Soft Skills: Excellent project management, organization, and technical documentation skills. Ability to clearly communicate complex compliance requirements to non-experts.

The Avionics and Electrical systems Engineer is responsible for developing repairs and alterations, defining maintenance specifications, evaluating new avionics technologies, and the technical airworthiness management of aircraft avionics, electrical systems, and related components on the Airbus and Embraer aircraft.
