Undead Labs has an opportunity for a Senior UI Engineer II to bring their experience and technical skills to State of Decay 3. The State of Decay franchise has attracted a loyal fanbase of millions of players, and you’ll play a key role in delivering the next installment of our story for them to enjoy.
As a senior member of the team, you will work with a team of UI engineers to design and implement high-quality UI for the game, and influence our processes and practices to continually raise our quality bar. Your skills in software development, debugging, design, and documenting engineering practices will be critical to your success. You’ll tackle complex software engineering problems, lead by example, and support other engineers through teamwork and mentorship in our shared goal of creating an amazing product.

As a Technical Artist focused on Tools/Pipeline, you’ll employ your expert-level knowledge of 3D tools and problem-solving skills to build tools, maintain pipelines and provide technical support for artists on their most critical missions. The 2K Mocap team - an efficient workhorse that produces motion capture, audio, and video assets for our developers and clients. We work in a world-class 50,000 square foot facility with 4 stages, a head scanner, and a body scanner. What We Need
A dynamic individual dedicated to solving technical problems on our mocap stages and leading all teams at 2k Mocap in technical development. 2k Mocap Tech is a small and agile team which covers a very broad area of knowledge, ranging from QCing and processing mocap data to software development. Our bread and butter is QT based Python programs for automation, but we also write C++ video tools specific tools for various Autodesk software APIs, manage a MSSQL database, maintain a fleet of Audio/Video/Mocap hardware and software, and the list goes on. Seasoned professionals of the mocap industry will understand.
This role requires you to work onsite in our Petaluma, CA Mocap studio office location.
What You’ll Do
As the Technical Stage Manager you will be tasked with leading in the development of the latest in Motion Capture technology, but also continuously expanding your knowledge of programing, audio/video production, automation technology, etc. You will also be tasked with leading a team of talented and motivated individuals passionate about the technical art of mocap and tool development. Needless to say, you will learn a lot from us, and we hope to learn a lot from you. We are looking for a Senior Technical Rigger to join us for our next big game at Housemarque.
As a Senior Technical Rigger, you will take ownership of complex rigging systems and contribute to the evolution of our pipelines and tooling. You will work closely with Technical Directors and a highly skilled, cross-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, performant solutions that support production at scale.
You will maintain a holistic view of rigging systems, support the needs of animation and gameplay teams, and contribute to both current production and future pipeline initiatives.
A typical day begins as you arrive at our downtown Helsinki studio. Maybe you start with a workout in the in-house gym and grab a healthy breakfast before settling in with a good coffee. After catching up with teammates, you review priorities across rigging, tooling, or pipeline improvements.
You might spend your morning building or refining complex rigs, debugging challenging deformation issues, or collaborating with engineers on tool development. You could also review a colleague’s work or send out a request for feedback on a system you’ve been developing.
Later, you join the team’s daily sync before heading out to lunch. In the afternoon, you might collaborate with other disciplines to solve a production challenge or jump on a call with a co-development partner to align on workflows.
You wrap up your day by documenting systems or planning the next steps for features you own.

As a Principal Technical Rigger, you will define the vision and technical direction for rigging, deformation, and technical animation pipelines at Housemarque. THE JOB
As the Lead Lighting Artist, you will work closely with the Technical Art Director and help supervise the lighting department, making sure our lighting quality stays consistent with the high visual standards set by the Art Director.
You will bring a strong track record of working with real-time video game lighting technologies, pipelines, and tools, combined with excellent communication and people management skills. You will help define best practices, improve lighting pipelines, and ensure the team maintains both artistic quality and technical performance across the project.

The Character Art External Development Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of character art assets produced by external development vendors. This role serves as the primary point of contact between Insomniac Games' internal Character Art team and external partners, ensuring all outsourced work meets the studio's visual quality standards, adheres to art direction, and delivers on schedule. This is a production-facing role that requires both strong artistic judgment and rigorous project management capabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between Insomniac Games and external development vendors, maintaining consistent communication across all active engagements.
Author, review, and maintain detailed asset briefs for all ExDev character art work, including high-poly sculpts, low-poly/UV assets, and texture/material deliverables.
Manage asset pipelines across milestone cycles, tracking bid estimates and delivery durations through Flow (ShotGrid).
Coordinate handoffs between ExDev vendors and internal art teams, ensuring assets meet technical and visual requirements before engine integration.
Collaborate with Project Directors to ensure budget remains on track for vendor work.

Qualifications

Insomniac Games is searching for a Lead Visual Effects Artist. The Lead VFX Artist is responsible for managing and developing a visual effects team. Has the knowledge and experience of creating art assets and sets an example for the team by demonstrating a mastery of industry standards and tools, proprietary technology, and departmental production workflows. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Balance hands-on VFX asset creation with day-to-day team leadership and management of the VFX team.
Partner closely with Principal VFX Artist to plan, create and test content creation and pipelines before deploying to the development team
Oversee and support external VFX partners, ensuring they are properly onboarded to style and technical standards and that their deliveries meet quality expectations.
Collaborate with Production Management to scope and estimate work, build schedules, assign tasks and track progress for VFX deliverables.
Works closely with Art Directors to develop visual targets, maintain a cohesive visual style and consistent quality bar across all aspects in VFX.

We're looking for a Senior Telemetry Design Engineer to design the telemetry specs and frameworks that power our AAA games from early development through live operations. Operating within Central Services, you will bridge the gap between our Business and Technical Data teams. The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale.
