Position Overview

The Senior Thermal Systems Design Release Engineer (DRE) serves as the technical leader and end to end owner of advanced thermal management components and subsystems across multiple vehicle programs. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, validation, release, and lifecycle support of complex thermal hardware including cooling modules, HVAC systems, refrigerant circuits, battery thermal systems, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and related fluid handling components.
The senior DRE ensures that all thermal subsystems meet or exceed OEM performance, durability, cost, quality, manufacturing, and timing targets from program initiation through Job 1 and into post launch operations. This role requires deep technical capability, cross functional leadership, supplier management expertise, and the ability to resolve complex system level issues.

Thermal System Leadership & Technical Ownership

• Serve as the senior engineering authority and “single point of responsibility” for assigned thermal systems within one or more vehicle platforms.
• Translate vehicle level thermal, energy, and performance targets into detailed component level technical requirements and specifications.
• Lead system integration efforts to ensure compatibility with vehicle controls, electrical architecture, software interfaces, and packaging constraints.
• Provide technical mentorship to junior DREs and influence cross functional engineering decisions related to thermal architecture.

Advanced OEM Design & Release Execution

• Direct the creation, evolution, and approval of CAD models, drawings, specifications, and documentation within the PLM environment.
• Own part numbering strategy, BOM structure, and engineering releases for all gateway milestones across multiple vehicle programs.
• Lead high level design reviews, trade off discussions, and technical forums with product development, controls, electrical, manufacturing, and program leadership.
• Drive early issue identification and resolution through advanced analytical tools and system modeling.

Supplier & Sourcing Leadership

• Serve as the chief technical interface to global suppliers, ensuring alignment on requirements, performance expectations, timing, and quality.
• Review, challenge, and approve supplier engineering documentation including DFMEA, DV plans, tolerance stacks, and material/process specifications.
• Partner with Purchasing to evaluate sourcing strategies, review commercial proposals, and assess supplier technical readiness.
• Lead supplier launch readiness activities including tooling kickoff, PPAP validation, and manufacturing capability audits.

Validation Strategy & Vehicle Build Support

• Develop, own, and execute comprehensive DVP&R plans for thermal components and subsystems.
• Provide on-site support for prototype, mule, VFF, and production builds, lead issue triage, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Lead technical support for thermal testing campaigns including environmental chambers, weather events, dynamometer testing, and wind tunnel evaluations.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Integration and Controls teams to ensure system performance meets real world and regulatory requirements.

Quality, Manufacturing & Launch Excellence

• Coordinate closely with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure that component designs meet plant requirements and process capabilities.
• Lead and support PFMEA reviews, control plan development, and PPAP documentation for thermal systems.
• Drive resolution of launch issues including leaks, noise and vibration concerns, flow restrictions, contamination, and supplier non conformances.
• Implement lessons learned and design optimizations to ensure continuous improvement across vehicle programs.

Location & Travel Expectations:

• This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, Michigan.
• This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in automotive thermal systems or closely related hardware.
• Deep understanding of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, coolant systems, refrigerant circuits, and thermal system integration.
• Expertise with OEM CAD and PLM systems and experience leading engineering releases through full vehicle development cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex design efforts and resolve system level issues in cross functional environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EV thermal architectures, integrated cooling systems, and high voltage thermal components.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, DVP&R, and quality systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes for heat exchangers, pumps, valves, hoses, and molded plastic/metal components.
• Proven track record of leading supplier development, managing global supply chains, and supporting launch activities.
• Advanced problem-solving skills including structured root cause analysis, system simulations, and data driven decision making.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

The Devices Team is responsible for the creation and lifecycle of IoT devices enrolled in EnergyHub programs used to balance the power grid and contribute to the overall EnergyHub mission of creating a carbon-free distributed energy future. • Proficiency in Java (preferably Java 11+) and experience with at least one scripting language (e.g., React). 
• Experience with web services, gRPC/RESTful APIs, and contract-driven development. 
• Ability to operate independently with little supervision. 
• Strong problem-solving skills, capable of balancing multiple use cases while enabling flexibility. 
• Frontend experience with Typescript and React and the ability to contribute to UI development as needed.

As a Full Stack Engineer on our growing EV team, you will be responsible for developing our backend services while maintaining a high security posture within our growing infrastructure. About the Opportunity

As a Software Engineer on our growing Battery team, you will design and develop backend services that support residential battery programs, while maintaining a strong security posture across our infrastructure. Working closely with leading battery providers such as Tesla and Sunrun, you will improve grid flexibility and enhance the value of our programs.

Partnering with other engineers, you will build new services and products in EnergyHub’s battery platform, engaging homeowners and OEMs on initiatives that unlock the full potential of residential batteries and deliver meaningful grid impact.

This Senior Sales Engineering role will become an expert in the advancing world of distributed energy resources (DERs), combining technical and business acumen to design solutions involving the dynamic control of electric vehicle charging, smart thermostats, stationary batteries, and other connected devices to deliver value to utility clients. You will also hone client-facing sales skills while serving as the liaison to your colleagues in product, business development, and program delivery -- ensuring the development of cross-functional knowledge and expertise. 

Main Responsibilities

• Serve as a product expert within the Commercial team, understand the needs of EnergyHub’s growing base of utility clients and pair them with technical or service solutions
• Conduct discovery with prospective and existing clients on business requirements and key pain points
• Work closely with the Product team to design solutions that deliver compelling ROI
• Architect and deliver on opportunities for improving EnergyHub’s proposal, contracting, and delivery process with AI and automation tools
• Facilitate customer feedback so that EnergyHub’s Product team can inform the roadmap

The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $140,000. The role is also eligible for an uncapped, variable compensation target of $34,000, for an OTE target of $174,000, with uncapped earning potential above that threshold. The base salary range of this opportunity is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience. This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role.

Experience managing cross-functional projects is essential. Experience with electric utilities or the energy technology industry is strongly preferred.

• Support the development and execution of go-to-market plans for new launches and features, including sales enablement and promotional activities.

• Accountable for the safe and compliant operation of an CEG wind farm installation.

• Create an annual operating plan and provide input on an annual budget.
• Set direction and measure operational performance of staff and site contractors.

What The Role Is

Reporting to the Wind Site Lead, the Evening Shift Wind Technician is responsible for assisting in the performance of wind turbine mechanical, hydraulic, and electric component maintenance. The primary objective is to maintain safe, effective, efficient, and profitable wind turbine operation.

Reporting to the Manager of Wind Accounting, the Senior Accountant is responsible for financial data management, journal entries, account reconciliations, timely completion, and assistance with monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting for various components of Clearway. Working closely with the Development Project Manager, and other groups such as Engineering and Real Estate, the Manager will lead and provide oversight in the development and acquisition of discretionary land use permits, environmental assessments, and surveys completed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for utility-scale solar, wind, and storage projects located in the western region of the United States. The successful candidate will have at least five years of environmental consulting, land use planning, or site land development experience within the renewable energy industry or related field, with demonstrated prior expertise in leading complex discretionary permitting activities for large capital projects. Experience in supporting project acquisition and financing due diligence is also preferred. Would consider a Senior Manager level. What The Role Is

The Operations Specialist II will play a key role in assisting the Operations Manager and Operations Engineer by assuring the highest level of safety, reliability and environmental standards while optimizing asset production and profitability. The Operations Specialist II will be responsible for supporting all day-to-day real-time Reporting, Performance, and Monitoring Center (RPMC) activities acting as the on-shift Operations Specialist for all assets under the CEG 12 GW portfolio including Wind, Solar and Battery Storage. This position requires working 12.5 hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure continuous operations and monitoring of the CEG utility fleet.

This position is a full-time, on-site position in our operations center based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

What You'll Be Doing

• Proactively monitor and evaluate real-time activities, performance, and operational status of Clearway Energy Utility Operating Assets to determine root cause and maintain utmost data integrity for operational events
• Operator will also be expected to understand and proactively identify abnormal operating and alarm conditions that arise during the shift and react accordingly
• Ability to manage power plant operations considering different requirements for each plant based on location, generation type, interconnect requirements, regional regulations and customer contractual requirements in a high stress and time sensitive environment.
• Answer phones and emails during shift
• Coordinate, document, and implement all necessary remedial actions to maximize the availability of the equipment and production/revenue according to pricing, resources, forecasts, and maintenance procedures.
• Interpret and execute activities associated with asset contracts (PPA’s, LGIA’s, O&M agreements) including capacity scheduling/reporting, telemetry issues, or remote-control capability impacts
• Operate multiple power plants IAW regulatory operating requirements (i.e.  CPUC/WECC/Prudent Utility Practices)
• Coordinate with the Field Operations teams, including Site Managers, Supervisors, and technicians in daily activities for plant status verifications, downtime reporting, and safe actions of remote equipment
• Coordinate with external entities such as Scheduling Coordinators, Transmission Operators, and Reliability Entities for the performance of status notifications or Operating Instructions
• Support the commissioning of projects by coordinating test energy scheduling and power plant operations activities ensuring safety, regulatory, environmental, and operating compliance Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity with respect to all functions of DEI

What You'll Bring

Reporting to the Manager of Construction Accounting, the Senior Accountant is responsible for financial data management, journal entries, account reconciliations, timely completion, and assistance with monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting for various components of Clearway. This person will also be responsible for other ad hoc projects as assigned, which will cover all aspects of accounting for Clearway’s Construction renewable energy projects. What You'll Be Doing

• Execute the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process within clearly specified time frames, following established internal control processes and procedures.
• Perform analytical functions necessary to achieve an accurate and timely general ledger month-end close. Duties include analysis of income statements, balance sheets, and equity transactions, preparation of financial statements, and general accounting support for financed and non-financed projects.
• Prepare monthly draw packages for assigned construction projects.
• Utilize financial reporting software to create, maintain, and update reporting templates and data queries.
• Prepare and maintain adequate documentation to support financial statement assertions and the performance of internal control over financial reporting.

• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of SCADA communication systems.
• Operate and maintain a service vehicle.
• Maintain hand tools in good working order and well organized.

Level II & III (additions)

• Troubleshoot complicated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on variable pitch, variable speed wind turbines.
• Assist in the training and development of lower level operation and maintenance personnel.
• Perform all mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical component maintenance, repair and replacement to correct malfunctions.
• Read and understand electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Use electrical test equipment to assist in troubleshooting and testing.
• Lead maintenance and troubleshooting crews as necessary.
• Safely perform LOTO and mentor lower level technicians in LOTO.
• Perform balance of plant and switchyard work as required.
• Other duties as assigned within the level II or III scope respectively

What You'll Bring

Level I

• A high school diploma or GED required or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.
• Able to climb towers unassisted up to 300 feet. Job will require standing outside the nacelle and nosecone at the top of the turbine. Able to work safely in a confined space.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Possess demonstrable mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge. Able to work with electrical wires and differentiate between color coded wires.
• Able to safely work in a wide range of adverse climates and environments.
• Able to travel as required.
• Knowledge of and the ability to use various hand tools.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams is preferred.
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing and able to work without direct supervision during performance of work.
• Able to create, edit or modify Microsoft Word and Excel documents.
• Able to meet the requirements of Clearway Energy Group’s Qualified Electrical Worker program.

Level II (Additions)

• An Associate’s degree (electrical or technical) and six months turbine experience, or a high school diploma/GED and one-year wind turbine experience
• Able to work with electrical wires and differentiate between color coded wires.
• Have an in depth understanding of the different components of the wind turbine including the electrical pitch system, computerized control system, and the power conversion unit as well as knowledge and understanding of OEM approved mechanical maintenance methods and practices.
• Possess the skills to perform mechanical and electrical equipment repairs.

Level III (Additions)

• An Associate’s degree (electrical or technical) and two years turbine experience, or a high school diploma/GED and three-year wind turbine experience
