Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to secure and expand business with new and existing end-user customers, Cloud, and Hosting Providers.
- Conduct web-based and on-site demonstrations of the Veeam product portfolio, providing training, enablement, and participating in joint meetings.
- Offer pre-sales support and on-site assistance to customers during their evaluation of Veeam software.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and strategic alliance partners in coordination with sales colleagues.
- Contribute to and participate in Veeam marketing events.
- Conduct Product Proof of Concepts (POCs) for customers.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (B.O.M), RFPs/RFQs based on customer needs.
- Demonstrate new technologies and provide training to internal staff and customers.
- Independently identify and qualify business opportunities.
- Provide technical compliance and competitive analysis of products within the solution.
- Possess hands-on experience in Hypervisors and Cloud environments.
- Coordinate presales efforts with customers, working with Veeam Solution Architects, System Integrators, and Professional Services figures.
Expectations:
- Ability to engage in business conversations with relevant stakeholders, including C-Level executives.
- minimum 5 years of experience working as System Engineer.
- Advise customers on their future business strategy and ensure a positive customer experience on assigned accounts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
- Comfortable presenting to groups, both remotely and in-person.
- Expected 50% travel.
- Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Client interaction for requirement gathering and understanding existing infrastructure.
- Knowledge in Vmware, Nutanix AHV, RedHat, and Microsoft virtualization technologies in large environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and AWS; ability to discuss and position Cloud technologies.
Advantages:
- VMCE certification is beneficial; employees can obtain VMCE and VMCA after starting the job.
- Knowledge in Kubernetes technologies platforms is an advantage.
- Knowledge in DBs (Oracle, SQL, DB2, SAP) is an advantage.

What You’ll Do
Location: United Arab Emirates, travel up to 70% of time
Reports to: Director, Sales Engineering
- Achieve mastery of all Axon technologies / products
- Use exceptional written and oral communication skills to lead business and technical presentations effectively
- Have technical conversations with IT departments, including CIOs, as well as channel partner leadership and technical stakeholders
- Set and manage expectations with customers and team members
- Provide 1st-level technical support throughout the pre-sales cycle for opportunities
- Remain organized and focused on removing sales obstacles through creativity and adaptation to rapidly changes circumstances
- Develop relationships with key partners for growth within their customer base
- Effectively position the technology against competitive offerings
- Be responsible for representing the products, company values, and brand to customers and at field events such as industry and user conferences, tech summits, etc.
- Take ownership of the POC/Pilot process: Coordinate logistics across all stakeholders, assess customer requirements/objectives, and tailor POC tests and findings, accordingly, assist prospects with initial configuration and orientation
- Where possible, improve or develop technical documentation to ease understanding and customer or channel usage of our products and services
- Capture requested features and provide feedback to Product Management, Sales, Development, Support, Engineering and Marketing teams
- Develop Statements of Work (SOW) for Professional Services necessary for binding quote
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
What You Bring

- Educational background:
- Associates degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent field), or 5+ years relevant experience.

- 4+ years customer facing pre-sales or consulting background required
- 3+ years of experience with public procurement in META
- Experience selling SaaS based solutions
- Experience in End User Compute or Cloud Computing preferred
- Experience in networking, storage, virtualization, or related technologies
- Must have intellectual curiosity, humility, accountability and positive approach;
- Strong Technical Writing skills to provide professional responses to customer RFPs / RFIs
- Basic knowledge or curiosity of security, IPsec, InfoSec, hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and storage devices.
- Ability to work independently with substantial latitude for action and decision making while maintaining focus on achieving optimal outcomes as part of a collaborative development effort.

The Opportunity
We are looking for an exceptional founding Backend Engineer to build the WorkOS platform. This is a role for a systems-thinker who wants to work at the intersection of high-scale distributed systems and AI orchestration. You will be responsible for building the "brain" of WorkOS, the engine that deploys and manages autonomous agents across the region’s most complex operational journeys at massive scale.
As one of the first engineers in WorkOS, you will have a disproportionate impact on our technical foundation, culture, and the speed at which we move from 0 to 1.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and Build the WorkOS Engine: Design and build the scalable backend services and architectures required to orchestrate complex AI workflows and real-time data streaming. Leverage novel technologies to build cutting-edge capabilities.
- Set the Engineering Gold Standard: As a founding member, you will establish our backend best practices, from CI/CD and observability to security and system integrity, ensuring a high-velocity but rigorous engineering culture.
- Solve for Distributed Complexity: Navigate the unique challenges of integrating AI agents into legacy enterprise stacks, ensuring low-latency communication and robust data consistency.
- Database design: Build our data infrastructure, leveraging relational, schemaless, and vector stores to power the platform and create persistent brains for our Agents.
- Full-Cycle Ownership: Own the lifecycle of the platform, from rapid prototyping of new agent capabilities to maintaining production-grade systems at enterprise scale.
- Drive AI-Accelerated Engineering: Constantly experiment with AI-assisted development to move faster than traditional teams, while maintaining a bar for superb technical quality and craft.
- Lead Pioneer Deployments: While building the core platform, you will occasionally lead the charge on first-of-their-kind implementations for strategic partners, ensuring our tech solves real-world operational complexity.
- Operate with High Agency: In this lean, startup-style environment, you will be responsible for outcomes over inputs, rolling your sleeves up to code and balancing investments in the long-term technical roadmap with the need to ship value quickly.
What You’ll Need:
- 8–12+ years of professional backend engineering experience, with significant tenure acting as a Staff Engineer or Technical Lead for complex, high-scale distributed systems.
- Mastery of Backend Systems: Deep expertise in languages like Python, Go, or Node.js, with a proven track record of architecting concurrency, microservices, and high-throughput data pipelines.
- AI-Native Infrastructure Depth: Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration (LangChain, etc.), vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus), and RAG architectures at a production-grade level.
- Systems-Level Visionary: The ability to design "platform-first", thinking in terms of APIs, modularity, and extensibility so that the WorkOS core can support infinite customer use cases.
- Obsession with Performance: A specialist's focus on latency and system observability; you believe that AI interactions must feel "instant" and "bulletproof" to be valuable.
- Startup-level Autonomy: Comfortable navigating a "0-to-1" environment where you define the technical roadmap and ship high-quality code without a playbook.
- Willingness to work on-site full time in UAE, to foster the high-intensity collaboration required for this incubation phase.
- Experience with enterprise software transformation or legacy system integration is a significant plus.

We are looking for a highly motivated Field Service Engineer II, currently located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates to join our team!
How You’ll Contribute
- Provide on-site services to one primary account and other customer sites as needed. On-site services include the repair and installation of company instrumentation, the operation of instruments when needed and the management of lab inventories
- Review technical reports and documents from customers. Analyze issues with technical staff to find root cause and communicate next steps and timelines to customers
- Maintain records of tool configurations pertaining to hardware, software, consumables, and application releases
- Manage customer interface with research and development groups. Maintain a working relationship with customers and instill confidence and credibility in our company and product
- Exceed customer expectations of service, support, and the product
- Summarize and communicate issues to development engineers for triage and participate in root cause analysis investigations

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- BS in scientific or engineering field
- 2-5 years of relevant engineering or field service experience. Preferred in biotech or capital equipment industry
- Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, server installations, and instrumentation troubleshooting
- Skilled at interpreting technical documentation and schematics (electrical, wiring, fluidic, and mechanical drawings)
- Talented at building prototypes from preliminary drawings and schematics
- Ability to work independently and in a group; good people skills
- Meticulous, detail oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are required
- Motivated and willing to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a hard-working and multidisciplinary team
- Must be eligible and willing to travel in UAE and internationally, including to the USA for training and meetings in head office. Holding a valid driver license is required. Estimated travel up to 20% of the time
