Emerging Products is an org pillar inside Auth0. We figure out what's next. You'll be designing systems that help developers secure AI agents, manage granular permissions, and build on identity primitives that don't fully exist yet.
Engineers, PMs, and Designers work on the same problems at the same time. There is no design-then-build sequence. There's just build.
When everyone on the team can generate UI, the designer's role shifts. You become the person responsible for taste. For holding the quality bar when speed is pushing everything toward "fine."
Prototype at volume: Use AI tools and code to explore dozens of directions fast, then narrow based on what works and what solves the actual problem.
Design in the codebase: Work within our React and Next.js environment to refine components and interactions where users will actually experience them.
Simplify complexity: Turn authorization models, SDK patterns, and security flows into interfaces that feel clear without losing precision.
Raise the craft: Help the broader design org see what this way of working looks like in practice. We're all figuring this out together.
You have craft: This matters most. Considered typography, intentional spacing, polished micro-interactions, details that show someone genuinely cared. We're looking for someone with a refined sense of design taste/aesthetics and a deep appreciation for the details that create a polished user experience.
You build: 6+ years of design experience, but somewhere along the way you started prototyping in the browser, shipping side projects, or writing production code because you wanted the interaction exactly right.
You have a real AI practice: Not experimentation, but an actual workflow. You have opinions about where AI tools help and where they fall short.
You design for developers: Tools, APIs, CLIs, SDKs, and admin dashboards. You know "simple" means something different for this audience.
In your application, please include a link to your portfolio with password (if protected). We prioritize a review of your design craft and any examples of your work in code.

Partner with sales teams to identify, tier, and map named accounts, including org structure, key decision-makers, and buying signals
Build tailored account plans that connect marketing investment to deal stages, intent signals, and pipeline forecasts
Run a regular ABM sync with assigned BDEs to pressure-test account plans, review engagement signals, and adjust program priorities
Translate company and segment narratives into account-specific messaging and ABM plays
Design and execute multi-channel digital ABM campaigns, including LinkedIn paid social, programmatic display, content syndication, and email, targeting named accounts and personas
Leverage ABM platforms (e.g., 6sense) to orchestrate personalized account experiences, serve intent-based advertising, and measure account-level engagement
Build account-specific landing pages and personalized content assets that address industry-specific pain points
Use intent data and behavioral signals to prioritize accounts, optimize campaign timing, and trigger coordinated outreach with sales

Develop and manage targeted roadshow programs that bring Geotab's value proposition to regional stakeholder clusters within strategic accounts
Coordinate pre- and post-program follow-up sequences with sales, ensuring every experiential touchpoint maps to a deal milestone rather than existing as a standalone activity
Serve as the primary marketing liaison to assigned Business Development Executives (BDEs), embedding into planning cadences and account reviews
Build and maintain account-level marketing playbooks that guide outreach sequencing, content delivery, and program coordination
Align marketing investment to pipeline priorities, forecast commitments, and account penetration goals
Build credibility with BDEs and sales leaders through data, account insights, and a clear POV on marketing's role in each deal
Track pipeline sourced and influenced, account engagement, and program ROI for assigned segments on a regular reporting cadence
Manage ABM budget across channels and programs for assigned segments
8+ years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 2 years focused on account-based marketing or enterprise demand generation
Demonstrated experience executing ABM programs for enterprise or mid-market strategic accounts
Proven track record of driving pipeline and influencing deal progression through a combination of digital programs and high-touch experiences
Experience in fleet management, transportation, construction, public sector or other segments is a strong asset
Deep understanding of B2B enterprise sales cycles and account-based marketing principles, with a proven ability to design and execute programs that directly influence pipeline
Hands-on experience with ABM platforms such as 6sense, Demandbase, Terminus, or similar tools
Proficiency in digital marketing channels including LinkedIn paid social, programmatic display, email marketing, and content syndication
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional projects without direct authority, bringing structure and clarity to fast-paced, high-growth environments.
Ability to rapidly build deep knowledge of assigned segments and translate customer challenges into compelling, personalized marketing programs
Experience planning and executing high-touch executive programs including VIP experiences, hosted dinners, strategic gifting, and roadshows
Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple simultaneous programs across accounts, channels, and geographies
Data-driven mindset with experience interpreting pipeline metrics, account engagement data, and campaign analytics to drive investment decisions
Exceptional relationship-building skills, ability to establish trust with sales counterparts, industry stakeholders, and senior executives
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, personalized account messaging
Proficiency with CRM and marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, Marketo, or similar)
Strong sense of ownership and accountability; thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a bias for action
Deep curiosity for applying AI tools to optimize content creation, campaign workflows, and account research
Flex working arrangements
Home office reimbursement program
Baby bonus & parental leave top up program
Online learning and networking opportunities
Electric vehicle purchase incentive program
Competitive medical and dental benefits
Retirement savings program

The Okta Digital Credentials Team
The Okta Digital Credentials team is building the future of digital identity. The way we prove our identity online is undergoing a fundamental shift, moving from scanning physical documents to using secure, portable digital credentials. In a world with AI-driven fraud, one-time verification is no longer enough; the industry needs a reusable, tamper-proof way to prove identity at scale.
To address this massive need, our focus is on building a Verifiable Digital Credentials (VDCs) platform to power this new ecosystem. VDCs are reusable digital records that prove identity, qualifications, or skills instantly, giving holders control to share only what's necessary. We are responsible for the infrastructure, user-facing features, and business of verifying, issuing, and holding VDCs for enterprise customers.
We are a small team of engineers, product managers, and designers who are bringing Okta’s expertise in identity to define the future of VDCs, focusing on open standards and interoperability.
The Staff Software Engineer Opportunity
As a Staff Backend Engineer on the Okta Digital Credentials (ODC) team, you will define the technical direction of a new VDC identity ecosystem and set the standard for how we build it.
This role demands deep technical expertise in backend architecture and the ability to influence decisions across the team and adjacent engineering groups. You will thrive in a fast-paced, zero-to-one environment, cutting through ambiguity to drive product-market fit.
A distinctive part of this role is setting the team's standard for AI-native engineering. This isn't about using autocomplete faster - it's about rethinking how a small, senior team ships production-quality code at pace. In practice, that means using AI tools for architectural reasoning and design review, generating and validating test coverage, accelerating code review cycles, and helping engineers build judgment about when AI output is trustworthy and when it isn't. You'll define what "good" looks like here and bring the team along.
You'll also be a force multiplier - mentoring senior engineers, raising the technical bar through architecture.
