• Exzellenter Kundensupport als Ausgangspunkt. Du bist erste Anlaufstelle für alle eingehenden Kundenanfragen und stellst sicher, dass Tickets strukturiert, fristgerecht und mit hoher Qualität bearbeitet werden. Bei hohem Ticketvolumen behältst du den Überblick und priorisierst souverän.
• KI-gestützte Prozessoptimierung als Kernaufgabe. Du verfolgst die Entwicklung von KI-Modellen und -Tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT u. a.) aktiv, hinterfragst bestehende Prozesse eigenständig und entwickelst intelligente Automatisierungen, KI-gestützte Triage und skalierbare Self-Service-Lösungen.

• Produkt und Engineering voranbringen. Du übersetzt Kundenfeedback aus dem Support in strukturierte, verwertbare Erkenntnisse für das Produktteam und arbeitest produktiv mit Engineering über Linear, Jira o. ä.

Was Erfolg nach 6–12 Monaten bedeutet

Wiederkehrende Anfragen sind durch Automatisierungen oder Self-Service-Lösungen messbar reduziert. Neue KI-Modelle und -Tools werden von dir systematisch evaluiert und – wo es sinnvoll ist – direkt in unsere Workflows integriert. Kundenfeedback fließt strukturiert und regelmäßig in Product und Engineering. SLAs werden konsistent eingehalten – und Prozesse, die noch vor einem Jahr manuell liefen, laufen heute automatisiert.

• Mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung im Customer Care oder Support, idealerweise im B2B SaaS-Umfeld

About the role

You'll enjoy this role if you like doing the following:

• Excellent customer support as your foundation. You're the primary contact for all incoming customer requests, ensuring tickets are handled in a structured, timely, and high-quality way. You stay on top of high ticket volumes and prioritize with confidence.
• AI-driven process optimization as your core work. You actively track developments in AI models and tools (Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT and others), independently challenge existing processes, and build intelligent automations, AI-powered triage, and scalable self-service solutions.
• Building scalable infrastructure. You configure and optimize our support platform (Zendesk or similar) — not just as a user, but as an architect. You build the KPIs and reporting structures that enable data-driven decisions, and actively push toward a 24/7 support model.
• Moving product and engineering forward. You translate customer feedback into structured, actionable insights for the product team and serve as a productive sparring partner for engineering via Linear, Jira, or similar.

What success looks like after 6–12 months

Recurring requests are measurably reduced through automations or self-service solutions. New AI models and tools are systematically evaluated by you and — where it makes sense — integrated directly into our workflows. Customer feedback flows in a structured, regular way into Product and Engineering. SLAs are consistently met — and processes that were manual a year ago are now automated.

QuiX Quantum is at the forefront of the development of photonic quantum computing, a rapidly developing sector. These are low-loss, multimode, reconfigurable interferometers, that allow the user to perform arbitrary, controlled interference between a number of optical channels, in the classical or quantum domain. As a fast-growing company, we are now looking for a Photonics Engineer for our office in Stuttgart, Germany.

What will you be doing?      

As a photonics engineer, you will be part of the engineering team, that works on assembling, testing and delivering our photonic processors to our customers. Your tasks will be focused on developing and demonstrating photonic systems for quantum computing.

You will take care of:

• Assembly, characterization, and commissioning of photonic processors, ensuring the quality of production, assembly, and commissioning.  
• Test, measurement, and characterization of photonic devices, including setup and production equipment maintenance and data acquisition and analysis.
• Delivery, repair, upgrade and test of photonic processors.
• Logistics including procurement of components, inventory and stock management.
• Manage contacts with customers and provide customer service and support.
• Developing setups integrating photonics and electronics e.g. FPGA or microcontrollers
• Developing methods and algorithms to control and synchronize photonic devices such as switches, modulators, and lasers
• Test, measurement and characterization of photonic devices and PICs, including setup build-up and data acquisition and analysis.
• Research on new technologies for quantum photonics.
• Manage internal and EU projects.
• Continuously keep up to date with the latest scientific and engineering progress in photonics and quantum optics
• Working in a multidisciplinary team with electrical engineers and quantum physicists

What we ask of you:

• PhD in Electrical engineering, Telecommunications, Photonics or relevant discipline
• Experience with optical and electrical equipment and photonic and electronic ICs. Specifically experience characterizing networks of MZIs.
• Experience with Python and Git
• Experience with designing and demonstrating optical switches and modulators and working with telecommunication equipment is a strong plus
