We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead PCB design within the Agentic Computational Engineering (ACE) platform team and to encode the realities of space-electronics PCB design and manufacturing directly into our generative engine. In this role, you will own end-to-end PCB design — schematic capture, stackup definition, high-speed and mixed-signal layout, signal and power integrity, fabrication and assembly readiness — for flight hardware, and translate that hard-won expertise into the constraints, heuristics, and feedback loops that let our AI agents design boards that can actually be built, qualified, and flown.

You will work at the intersection of PCB design, space-grade manufacturing, and AI — pairing your own hands-on board work with software development that captures DfM, DfA, and DfT considerations as code. ACE is responsible for building Voyager’s Generative Engine – the AI-native platform that compresses complex hardware development cycles from years to days. We design agentic AI systems that pair deeply with physics simulation, test data, and modern manufacturing so that Design for Manufacturing (DfM), Design for Assembly (DfA), and Design for Test (DfT) are built into the very first line of code and the very first sketch of a design.

The position reports to the VP, AI & Autonomy and is part of the Technology and Advanced Development department based in Los Angeles, CA; Washington D.C; Seattle, WA.

• Own the vision and execution of the PCB vertical of the Agentic Computational Engineering platform — defining how an agentic system should reason about end-to-end PCB design and manufacturing for space-grade flight electronics, and guiding the engineering team that implements it.
• Frame the problem space for the team: catalogue the design and manufacturing decisions a senior PCB engineer makes on a flight program (substrate and stackup, SI/PI, DfM/DfA/DfT, parts derating, fab and assembly liaison, qualification) and translate each into structured problems an agent can solve autonomously.
• Plan the PCB vertical's roadmap in lockstep with AI, simulation, manufacturing, and product leadership — sequencing capabilities, identifying high-leverage bets, and articulating clear success criteria for each agentic capability we ship.
• Educate the team continuously on space-electronics PCB design and manufacturing — running design-review walkthroughs, writing internal references, and turning your judgment into shared mental models the rest of the team can build against.
• Drive product taste for the PCB vertical: define what a great agent-generated design package looks like, what quality bar it must hit, and where the agent should defer to a human — so the team builds something that practicing PCB engineers actually trust.
• Lead testing and qualification of agent-generated designs — running design reviews, fabricating and assembling representative boards, and executing electrical, environmental (vibe, thermal, EMI/EMC), and radiation campaigns to evaluate real-world performance.
• Provide detailed, structured feedback to the team building the platform — turning every test, fab spin, and design review into specific, actionable signals that improve the agents, the constraint models, and the simulation tie-ins.
• Partner with fab houses, assembly houses, and component vendors to encode their real constraints — IPC class 3, NASA workmanship, lead times, parts availability, qualification artifacts — into the platform so generated designs are buildable on the first spin.
• Set the technical direction for AI-driven tooling in the PCB vertical (Python/C++ services, LLM-based agents, scripting), guiding engineers on how to decompose PCB-engineering judgment into agents that can make decisions autonomously and explain them.
• Represent the PCB vertical to Voyager hardware programs and external customers — communicating capabilities, limitations, and the roadmap with the credibility that comes from having designed flight hardware yourself.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience leading PCB design or hardware engineering at NASA centers, JPL, major space primes, or new-space companies; familiarity with PDR/CDR processes, NASA workmanship standards (NASA-STD-8739), SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-461G, WCCA/EPSA, and IPC class 3.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA/SoC-based single-board computers (e.g., Xilinx Ultrascale+ MPSoC, GR712, RTAX/RTG4), high-speed ADC/DAC layout, and RF front-ends across UHF through Ka-band.
• Experience defining or qualifying substrates and stackups (e.g., Rogers, Isola Tachyon/MT-40) against electrical, thermal, and radiation-environment requirements, and running radiation effects testing (TID, SEE, SEL, SEU).
• Familiarity with systems-engineering tooling (JAMA, DOORS, Jira) and EICD/requirements practices spanning box, slice, and board level.
• Track record of building or leading the build of internal tooling, design automation, or AI/LLM-based assistants that measurably improved PCB design or review throughput.
• Experience guiding software or AI engineers — translating engineering domain knowledge into specifications, evaluation criteria, and feedback that shape what gets built.

The good faith base salary range for this role is$225,000 - $290,000 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.

Join Lumen as a Lab Technician on our Strain Engineering team. In this role, you will help advance Lumen’s early and mid-stage spirulina pipeline. Your work will center on maintaining and assessing cyanobacterial cultures and on keeping our strain engineering workflows running smoothly.

You will assist across recombinant DNA construction, genome editing, protein expression screening, and analytical characterization. You will maintain and generate cryogenic stocks of spirulina cell lines, perform media prep and aseptic techniques, monitor growth and quality metrics, and document results in Lumen’s ELN. You will follow and help refine SOPs, operate and care for lab instruments, track samples and reagents, and ensure data are complete, reproducible, and audit ready.

We are seeking highly skilled, and motivated Director of Combination Product & Device Development, to lead the development, manufacturing, assembly and commercialization of high‑concentration biologic delivery systems, including, prefilled syringes, autoinjectors and other drug–device combination products.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in device design control, verification and validation, risk management, combination product regulations, and human factors engineering. This role requires hands‑on technical leadership and extensive experience with regulated devices and combination products (21 CFR 820, ISO 13485), as well as strong knowledge of global device standards (ISO, IEC 62366, ANSI/AAMI HE75) and FDA guidance. A successful track record supporting major regulatory submissions (BLA, MAA, IND/IMPD) and notified body assessments is essential.

Key Responsibilities 

Device Development

• Lead end‑to‑end development and commercialization of prefilled syringes, dual‑chamber cartridges, autoinjectors, and related combination product systems.
• Serve as a hands‑on technical leader and device SME across concept, feasibility, development, qualification, and launch phases.
• Define user needs and product requirements; lead prototyping, test method development, and design verification and validation (DV/V) activities.
• Drive design control documentation, risk assessments, usability studies, and human factors integration.

Key Responsibilities

Drug Product Development

As a Wiring Harness Engineer at Carbon Robotics be a key part of the team that designs and lays out the wiring interconnect system, testing new systems and iterating on designs with your mechanical and software peers. You’ll develop system layouts, block diagrams, BOMs, and schematics in CAD, and provide manufacturing support to our CM partners. This role begins as an individual contributor—you’ll be deep in the work, setting up systems, forging payor relationships, and getting the fundamentals right. As the insurance segment grows, you’ll evolve into a people leader, building and scaling the RCM team and function around you. What You'll Do

Phase 1: Design & Build

• Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of Sleep Doctor’s RCM infrastructure—spanning eligibility verification, prior authorization, claims submission (clinical and DME), denial management, and patient collections.
• Architect the “to-be” state: a modern, API-driven, largely automated revenue cycle built for both commercial and government payors nationwide.
• Partner with engineering and vendor partners to integrate clearinghouses, EHR/practice management systems, and payer APIs into a unified, compliant billing platform.
• Define the “Clean Claim” baseline for both clinical services and DME—establishing data validation rules, documentation requirements, and submission standards.
• Ensure seamless parallel operation of cash-pay and insurance flows without introducing friction to the patient journey.
• Partner with the Director of Payor Contracting on enrollment and contracting groundwork, establishing relationships with key commercial and government plans.

Phase 2: Automate & Optimize

• Drive aggressive automation across the revenue cycle using AI/ML tools—targeting prior auth packaging, clinical documentation assembly, claims scrubbing, denial prediction, and appeals generation.
• Build intelligent denial management workflows with root-cause analytics, payer-specific rule engines, and automated appeals—targeting a near-100% clean claim rate and minimal days in AR.
• Design patient-facing billing experiences that deliver radical transparency: real-time eligibility, upfront cost estimates, and frictionless balance resolution.
• Leverage FHIR, HL7, and X12 standards to future-proof the platform and ensure interoperability as our payor mix and service lines expand.
• Define, instrument, and own core RCM KPIs: first-pass resolution rate, denial rate, days in AR, net collection rate, and cost to collect.

Ongoing Ownership

• Serve as the internal RCM subject matter expert—the go-to voice on payor policy, reimbursement trends, coding requirements, and regulatory changes across clinical and DME billing.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical, Product, Finance, Engineering and Operations to ensure the revenue cycle serves both business goals and patient outcomes.
• Maintain an uncompromising standard for HIPAA compliance and data integrity across all billing and collections activity.
• As the insurance segment scales, recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing RCM team—building the function and org structure from the ground up.
• Own the long-term RCM roadmap, balancing speed-to-value with platform stability and scalability.

What We Are Looking For

• Deep RCM Expertise: 8+ years in Revenue Cycle Management in healthcare, with hands-on experience across the full billing lifecycle—eligibility, prior auth, claims, denials, appeals, and patient collections. You know the difference between an 835 and an 837 and how to make them work in a modern cloud environment.
• Clinical & DME Billing Experience: You’ve managed RCM for both clinical services and durable medical equipment. Bonus points for experience with Home Sleep Studies (HSS), CPAP/PAP therapy, or sleep medicine billing.
• Government & Commercial Payor Knowledge: You understand the nuances of billing across Medicare, Medicaid, and major commercial plans nationwide—including payor-specific rules, fee schedules, and compliance requirements.
• Automation-First Mindset: You’re not here to manage a status quo process—you want to eliminate manual work through smart system design, AI tooling, and workflow automation. You see every manual step as a future automation opportunity.
• Tech-Forward Approach: Comfortable talking APIs with engineers and system architecture with stakeholders. Fluent in healthcare data standards: X12, HL7, FHIR. Clearinghouse and practice management platform experience required.
• Builder Mentality: You’ve built RCM functions or capabilities from scratch—not just inherited and managed them. You thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and know how to get things done with limited resources.
• Player-Coach Orientation: You’re energized by doing the work yourself in the early stages and equally energized by the idea of building and leading a team as the business scales. You don’t need a team to be effective—but you know how to grow one.
• Patient-First Philosophy: You believe the best RCM is nearly invisible to the patient—frictionless, transparent, and built around their experience, not just operational efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Fluency: You understand that most billing problems don’t start in billing. You build strong working relationships with Operations, Customer Service, and Clinical teams—because you know that upstream process gaps, intake errors, and documentation issues are the root cause of most downstream RCM failures. You’re as comfortable in an ops workflow review as you are in a payor contract negotiation.

Compensation Range

$150,000 - $200,000/yr. Note that final compensation is subject to the candidate’s specific qualifications and location, as well as the needs of the company. This position is eligible to participate in the company’s bonus program. 

The Company currently provides medical, vision, and dental insurance and 100% of the employee  medical, vision,   and   dental   premiums  covered   by   the   Company.  There is an option to participate in both a medical FSA and dependent care FSA. We offer a 401(k) plan, with fully matching contributions up to 3% of salary and 50% matching from 3% to 5% of salary. There is a company paid life-insurance policy, and the option to participate in a voluntary pet-insurance policy.  You will be eligible for Paid Time Off in accordance with the company’s policies. Our Seattle-based employees will receive commuter benefits.
