What you’ll do:

• Perform detailed thermal analysis of the airframe, considering external heating, solar radiation, internal heat sources, and insulation 
• Develop and implement thermal management solutions for airframe composite structures to mitigate thermal stress, manage material temperatures limits, and maintain structural integrity
• Design and optimize cooling solutions (e.g. forced and/or natural convection, heat pipes, liquid cooling etc.) for aircraft systems and LRUs, including but not limited to actuators, flight control, avionics, and electrical distribution systems, to ensure operation within specified temperature limits in accordance with the vehicle design envelope
• Perform parametric studies and sensitivity analyses to optimize thermal design of aircraft structure as well as vehicle systems and LRUs
• Develop, refine, and use advanced CFD and FEA models to simulate complex thermal scenarios and validate design assumptions 
• Support the planning and execution of test campaigns at component, system, and aircraft levels to collect data for thermal models correlation and validation 
• Collaborate closely with Aerodynamics, Airframe, Flight Control, Actuation, Avionics, Propulsion, Battery, and Manufacturing teams to develop and integrate thermal solutions and address interdependences
• Participate in design reviews, document analysis results, design recommendations, and contribute to technical reports 

What you need:

• MS / PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in thermal analysis and design within the aerospace or automotive industry
• Strong understanding of heat transfer fundamentals (conduction, convection, radiation) and their application in aerospace and/or automotive systems
• Demonstrated experience with thermal management of aerospace structures and/or high-power density systems and LRUs
• Demonstrated experience with CFD and FEA software packages (e.g. NASA Overflow and/or Fun3D CFD solvers, StarCCM+, Ansys Fluent and Thermal analysis packages, Abacus, Nastran)

Responsibilities

Mechanical Design

• Create, review, and refine spacecraft component and subsystem mechanical designs in a modern CAD package (SolidWorks), managing small-to-medium assemblies
• Develop clean-sheet mechanical and structural designs through detailed design, consistent with the risk posture, development velocity, and deployment schedules at Muon
• Create quick concepts to drive early-phase discussions and inspire the team
• Influence flight designs to ensure hardware is optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and testability
• Make economically sound make vs. buy decisions, balancing the need to quickly demonstrate capability while understanding the path to scaled-up constellations

Analysis

• Perform stress and dynamic analyses (hand calculations, simple FEM) to support and inform structural designs, including joint design, fastener sizing, and stiffness analyses
• Collaborate with structural and thermal analysts to iterate designs for performance and manufacturability
• Conduct trade studies to evaluate design alternatives and document recommendations
• Support mass budget tracking and tolerance stack-up analyses for mechanical assemblies

Build & Integration

• Create and maintain build procedures, assembly instructions, and work orders for mechanical hardware
• Support and oversee technicians during assembly and integration of mechanical components and subsystems
• Identify and resolve fit, form, and function issues during hardware builds
• Drive designs toward producibility, considering prototype through production quantity needs

Collaboration & Coordination

Antora is seeking an exceptionally driven Electrical Engineering Manager / Architect to lead the team designing the next generation of Antora’s thermal energy storage products. This role combines people leadership with deep technical ownership of high-voltage, high-power electrical system architecture spanning both product and plant-level systems.

You will guide a team of engineers through the full product lifecycle, from architecture definition and trade studies through detailed design, prototyping, validation, manufacturing, and field deployment. We're looking for a Staff Power Systems Engineer to develop connection specifications between the Electric Hydrogen power system and medium voltage utility grid. You will be comprised of managing all aspects of electrical installation design (combination of 3rd party EPC design review and performing internal design) conducting power systems analysis using modeling and simulation software programs to evaluate real-world system characteristics such as load and power flows, short circuit analysis, transient stability, stability with active linear loads (such as active power factors) and other operational characteristics.
