Project Description

Our client is looking for a Senior Full-stack Engineer to support full-stack development initiatives in the healthcare advertising domain. The specialist will work in a SCRUM-based team and contribute to technical decisions, solution design, development, documentation, API integrations, and stakeholder communication.

Required:

• 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).

We are currently seeking a Reverse Engineer with extensive data mining experience to join our team as an independent contractor. This is not an entry level role and you will be working to extract both static and runtime game data for World of Warcraft to help Wowhead to expand our current tools to aid our community of gamers. Key Responsibilities

• Manage development of the Wowhead Studio application, to facilitate datamined assets of creatures, characters, and other in-game objects
• Extract game data and game assets required to build tools to support our products and services.
• Maintain Wowhead’s model tools using the site’s WebGL model viewers. TypeScript-based standard viewer used in most of Wowhead website.
• Use C++ web assembly-based viewer that is faster with accurate lighting, for various World of Warcraft Player Housing pages.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an Engineering Manager at Tide, you will be responsible for building and running the products your team owns, covering everything our members need to run their business, from banking and payments through to administration and operational tooling.

• Leading & Directly managing a cross functional team of 8-12 engineers
• Partnering with a Product Manager to form the Product Engineering Duo

• Being responsible of the delivery of the team - quality, stability, timelines, dependencies
• Being responsible of the tech excellence and architecture within the scope of the team

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

• Extensive experience (10+ years) building server-side applications and detailed knowledge of of Python, Java, C#, or another similar language
• Sound knowledge of a backend framework (e.g. Spring/Spring Boot) 
• Experience with running microservices and implementing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience engineering scalable and reliable solutions in a cloud-native environment 
• A mindset of delivering secure, well-tested and well-documented software 
• Full ownership of your code and technical solutions across their entire lifecycle, from development to production.
• Experience integrating with various third party providers and partners 
• Sound knowledge and experience working with relational databases
• Work effectively in an agile environment, using its practices to deliver value consistently and adapt quickly
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience 
• Apply continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices in day-to-day development to deliver software reliably to production
• A technical hands on leader who is in the details of what the team is working on day to day

Our Tech Stack

• Python, Java, Spring Boot and JOOQ to build the RESTful APIs of our microservices (but we welcome people who are used to any strongly typed general purpose programming language!) 
• Event-driven architecture with messages over SNS+SQS and Kafka to make them reliable 
• Primary datastores are PostgreSQL via RDS or Aurora (we are heavy AWS users) 
• Docker, Terraform, ArgoCD and, EKS provided by the Cloud team to run the platform 
• DataDog for monitoring, observability and automated SLOs
• GitHub, Semgrep and solid testing to power the CI/CD pipelines - new joiners are encouraged to have something deployed to production in their first week 
• Angular on Web, Flutter for our mobile app, but from time to time we use Swift and Kotlin
• Fivetran/BigQuery/Looker for the BI insights and Python/FastAPI/Faust + some ML libs for the automated decisioning and risk management

Required:

• 3+ in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI (or similar), C#, XAML — and ideally additional experience with native Windows code (C++, Win32/WinRT/COM).

• Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications, with an emphasis on reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, multi-threading or asynchronous programming (where relevant).
• Experience leading technical design, mentoring other engineers, conducting code reviews, and making architecture-level decisions.
• Strong communication skills; ability to articulate tradeoffs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive consensus.
• A user-centric mindset: focus on building polished, intuitive, and accessible experiences for end users.

Preferred / Bonus:

• Experience with writing automated tests for UI — unit tests, integration tests, UI automation tests; familiarity with relevant testing frameworks.
• Experience with performance optimization for desktop apps (memory usage, startup time, rendering performance, high-DPI support, responsiveness under load).
• Experience with localization/globalization, right-to-left UI support, internationalization, accessibility for multiple regions.
• Familiarity with telemetry, analytics, crash reporting, logging, and error monitoring in desktop applications.
• Previous experience in shaping CI/CD workflows, release pipelines, and deployment strategies for desktop applications.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of feature areas or modules and drive them long-term, including maintenance, refactoring, and technical debt management.
