What You'll Do

As a Principal Software Programmer of the Media Services team, you'll provide technical leadership for the platform powering real-time voice communication across Fortnite and the Epic Games ecosystem at massive scale.  You'll help set the technical direction for Epic's WebRTC-based products and implement features from design through final delivery.

In this role, you will

• Work on the WebRTC integration across different Epic Games teams, design and hands-on implementation of new features
• Design, develop, and continuously improve our WebRTC client and server stack across platforms 
• Investigate and evaluate new technologies to drive innovation in real-time communication services
• Drive timelines, resolve technical blockers, and deliver with a high degree of autonomy

What we're looking for

• Highly proficient in C++, with a strong command of performance-critical systems
• Deep understanding of WebRTC signalling concepts, protocols, and architecture
• Proven experience in debugging and optimizing WebRTC stacks at scale
• Experience designing and maintaining C APIs for broad platform distribution
• Familiarity with build systems like GN and Ninja
• Demonstrated ability to independently own and deliver complex, long-horizon programming projects

Join the MongoDB Server Query Optimization team, and help us build a world-class distributed open-source query optimizer. Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of experience in data management systems
• Experience with building production-level code with a large user base, robust design structure and rigorous code quality
• Degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent practical experience, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design/architecture
• Experience with large code bases written in C++ or another systems programming language. You'll need to trace down defects, estimate work complexity, and design evolution and integration strategies as we rewrite different components of the system
• Passion for the theory and practice of database query engines, as well as hands-on or academic experience in the database domain

• In six months, you’ll have taken on code review responsibilities and are playing an active role in drafting and reviewing the design for new features; You have expanded the team's horizons by presenting a favorite paper or system architecture related to query systems

We are looking for a Staff Engineer with domain expertise and years of experience in modernizing legacy applications that are based on traditional database systems. A significant advantage is profound prior experience in leveraging AI, particularly LLMs and GenAI capabilities, to enable reliable, self-driving automation of the code transformation, iterative build, and test processes. In this role, you will be instrumental in initiating technical strategies and ideas, lead the Code Gen team in designing, building, and optimizing our code transformation workflow and tools. MongoDB is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the strategy and execution for two tightly integrated layers of our core database: Replication and Storage Engines (WiredTiger). Together, these layers underpin MongoDB’s durability, availability, and performance for customers running mission-critical workloads.

This role spans two very different levels of customer visibility. Replication is, at its core, about keeping a distributed system in sync. Customer-facing concepts like failover, read concerns, and write concerns are how those guarantees surface. Customers understand and articulate those directly. WiredTiger internals like eviction, checkpointing, and cache management are invisible to customers, but are often blamed when "the system is misbehaving". You’ll need to move comfortably between both worlds: translating ambiguous customer symptoms into precise priorities for the storage engines team deep in the stack, while driving the replication roadmap and partnering with fellow database product managers on cross-cutting concerns.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in New York City or Seattle for our hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

• Own the product direction, roadmap, and execution plan for MongoDB’s replication and storage engine layers, ensuring we continue to deliver rock-solid durability, availability, and performance for mission-critical workloads
• Define the long-term roadmap for the storage engine (WiredTiger), balancing architectural investments against near-term escalation pressure
• Define and track measurable service-level objectives (SLOs) for replication lag, failover time, storage engine health and predictability, and customer data durability
• Distill ambiguous customer pain (e.g. "the system falls over" or "we see intermittent latency spikes") into actionable, scoped priorities for Storage Engines. Frame work in customer-outcome terms so the team can spot gaps independently
• Lead high-stakes escalations, coordinating with Support and engineering to resolve issues and reduce churn risk
• Drive improvements to the replication protocol, including elections, consensus, failover, read/write concern semantics, and distributed transaction consistency
• Own product direction for oplog, initial sync, elections, rollback, and replica set configuration
• Maintain clear ownership boundaries with the Storage Execution Product Manager
• Enable Sales, Support, Customer Success, and Product Marketing as the subject-matter expert for replication and storage engine reliability
• Partner with engineering leadership on quarterly planning, technical strategy, and project scoping

Requirements

• You can take a messy customer problem and turn it into something an engineering team can act on. When someone reports "intermittent latency spikes," you know how to dig in, ask the right questions, and trace it back to a root cause
• You are strong technically. You understand how distributed systems work, how databases store and replicate data, and you can hold your own in a room full of highly technical engineers
• You have a track record of making decisions and shipping in complex technical environments, not just analyzing
• You collaborate well with highly empowered engineering teams. This role influences through clarity and conviction, not authority
• You have experience working directly with enterprise customers on technical solutions
• You communicate complex concepts in a manner that is easily understood by multiple audiences, from deep-stack engineers to field teams to customers

• Experience with replication protocols, distributed consensus, storage engines, or other core database internals (B-tree engines, write-ahead logging, cache management)

Le support de production joue un rôle essentiel dans la technologie d'entreprise, des moteurs de trading algorithmique aux rapports réglementaires.

C'est un peu comme les soins de santé pour la technologie. En tant qu'analyste du support de production chez mtrois, vous aurez pour mission commune de veiller sur les systèmes et processus techniques sur lesquels les autres équipes comptent.

Ce que vous apprendrez à l'Académie mtrois:

• Comment discuter de l'activité de soutien à la production à un niveau élevé, y compris ITIL (bibliothèque d'infrastructure des technologies de l'information), la surveillance, DevOps, SRE (ingénierie de fiabilité des sites) et la reprise après sinistre.
• Comment discuter des sujets financiers courants, y compris les marchés financiers, le commerce des actions, les produits dérivés, les devises, la trésorerie, la réglementation et le risque.
• Comment écrire un programme informatique de base en Python, y compris l'entrée utilisateur, les structures de données communes et le flux de contrôle.
• Comment utiliser MySQL pour effectuer des opérations CRUD (création, lecture, mise à jour et suppression) sur une base de données relationnelle stockée dans un serveur MySQL.

Ce dont vous avez besoin:

• · Baccalauréat en Informatique ou TI (ou génie, mathématiques et champs similaires)

What you'll do:

Production support plays a vital role in enterprise technology, from algorithmic trading engines to regulatory reporting.

Think of it as healthcare for technology. As a production support analyst with mthree, you’ll be on a shared mission to look after the technical systems and processes other teams rely on.

How the Alumni program works:

1. Apply via this job advert.
2. Complete our assessment process.
3. Get trained at mthree Academy in an online class for 4-8 weeks with other graduates.
4. Join a mthree client for 12-24 months while receiving support and salary increases every 12 months.
5. The vast majority then convert to permanent employees with the client at the end of the program.

What you’ll learn at the mthree Academy:

• How to discuss production support activity at a high level including ITIL (information technology infrastructure library), monitoring, DevOps, SRE (site reliability engineering), and disaster recovery.
• How to discuss common financial topics, including financial markets, equity trading, derivatives, currency, treasury, regulation, and risk.
• How to write a basic computer program in Python, including user input, common data structures, and flow of control.
• How to use MySQL to perform CRUD (create, read, update and delete) operations on a relational database stored in a MySQL Server.

What you'll need:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related STEM subject (science, technology, engineering, math).
• A GPA of 2.75 or higher. We look for potential, not prestige, but it’s important that you enjoy pushing yourself to pick up new ideas.
• Ability to troubleshoot, taking an analytical approach to solve problems.
• The right to work in Canada without needing visa sponsorship.
• French proficiency required for roles in Quebec province.

 *Note, due to the global teams and organizations that mthree works with, both French & English may be a requirement of the position.
