About the Role
As a Software Developer in Test, you will join one of several high-impact teams of QA professionals. You will work on a variety of Veeam products and features, helping us shape the quality of solutions used by companies around the world. During the hiring process, we’ll match your interests and experience with the team and project where you can make the greatest impact.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain automated tests for Veeam products
- Collaborate across the software development team
- Enhance frameworks and modules for automated testing
- Contribute to test design and implementation
- Analyze product source code
- Support internal automated testing systems
- Build and manage testing infrastructure
- Analyze test results, and maintain defects database

What You'll Bring
- From at least 1 year of experience (junior level) up to 3+ years (middle/senior level) in commercial product testing, test automation, or software development; OR practical hands-on coding experience, without a need for testing expertise but with a strong interest in the testing domain (for junior candidates)
- Programming experience in Python
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments
- A strong desire to write high-quality code and develop your skills in programming
- An open mind, common sense, clear logical thinking, and a lively, analytical mindset - you enjoy analyzing and understanding how things work
- English proficiency for daily communication within international teams
Bonus Skills
- C#/.NET Framework and Test Automation: LINQ, NUnit, Selenium WebDriver, testing RESTful APIs using HttpClient
- Experience with PowerShell
- Experience with Git
- Experience with Jenkins, TeamCity or Azure DevOps
- Cloud platforms experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Key Responsibilities
- Design, Develop, and Maintain Automated Test Suites: Build and execute automated test scripts to cover end-to-end testing for web applications, mobile apps (iOS/Android), and APIs.
- Cross-Platform Testing: Develop automated tests across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency in test quality and reporting for web, mobile, and API testing.
- Test Automation Frameworks: Contribute to the development and improvement of test automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Espresso, XCUITest or similar, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
- CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with the Platform team to ensure automated tests are smoothly integrated into CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback on product quality.
- End-to-End Testing: Execute functional, regression, performance, and load testing for complex workflows across platforms, ensuring product reliability and quality.
- Defect Tracking and Reporting: Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution, providing clear feedback to developers and ensuring timely fixes.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven Experience in Test Automation: Experience in automated testing across web, mobile (iOS/Android), and APIs, with hands-on experience using automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, etc.
- Strong Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages used for test automation (e.g. Kotlin, TypeScript, Ruby, or similar).
- API Testing: Experience in automating RESTful API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
- CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Github Actions, CircleCI, etc.
- Test Framework Development: Experience in building or extending test automation frameworks, ensuring they are scalable and maintainable.
- Cross-Browser and Cross-Device Testing: Familiarity with ensuring test execution across multiple browsers (e.g., Chrome, Safari, Firefox) and mobile devices (both iOS and Android). Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., BrowserStack)
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple platforms and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them effectively.
- Understanding of QA Principles: Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, including functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, and load testing.
