About the Role:
We’re looking for a Backend Engineer to contribute to a next-generation security initiative. You’ll be part of a small, highly technical team working on novel approaches to secure systems - with a focus on cryptography, automation, and AI-powered analysis. You’ll work closely with senior engineers and contribute hands-on to the codebase across the stack. This role involves hands-on development, learning opportunities, and collaboration across engineering, product, and design.

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Automation QA Engineer to join our networking products team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality through a combination of automated and manual testing, with a strong focus on building scalable and reliable test automation frameworks.
You will work closely with engineering teams to validate new features, improve existing functionality, and contribute to delivering high-quality networking solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python, Pytest, and Playwright
Create reliable, scalable, and reusable test scripts for web and API testing
Collaborate closely with developers to validate new features and improve product quality
Participate in design and requirement reviews to ensure testability and quality standards
Perform manual testing when needed to support broader QA coverage
Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution
Develop and maintain clear test plans, test cases, and documentation
Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and strategies
Ensure all QA activities follow company and industry best practices and compliance standards
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in QA Automation
Strong hands-on experience with Python and Pytest
Experience with Playwright (Appium is a plus)
Solid experience testing REST APIs (e.g., Postman, browser dev tools)
Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr)
Ability to write clear, structured, and comprehensive test documentation
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify root causes of issue
Nice to Have
Experience with VPN products (desktop or mobile)
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, routing)
Experience with networking hardware (routers, switches, Wi-Fi)
Exposure to mobile testing and tools like Appium
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly express ideas in meetings and documentation
