We are seeking a customer-obsessed product manager to drive the development and integration of AI/ML capabilities within Ark. This is an individual contributor role responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering AI/ML solutions that enhance our Applications and transform how current and future users make critical decisions.

Mission Summary:
The Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Test Engineering team at Motional is responsible for validating the safety, functionality, and performance of our self-driving technology through rigorous, system-level testing. As a Senior AV Test Engineer, you will take a lead role in the strategy, planning, and execution of comprehensive test campaigns that span perception, planning, and control systems across virtual, closed-course, and public road environments.
In this role, you will guide test development efforts across multiple AV subsystems, mentor junior engineers, and drive improvements to our tooling, test infrastructure, and methodologies. You will lead cross-functional initiatives that directly impact release readiness and safety assurance, translating high-level engineering requirements into scalable test plans and measurable quality outcomes. Your work will contribute to iterative development, fault injection analysis, and validation of safety-critical systems that meet the highest standards for reliability and compliance.

About the Team
You’ll work most closely with the systems engineers on the MHE Vision platform. You’ll collaborate with the MHEV team on integrated system testing and debugging, with the ML team on validating model outputs against ground truth data, and with Customer Support and Product Management on field-reported edge cases and quality priorities.
About the Role
We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our Pittsburgh team and strengthen the testing and validation layer for our MHE Vision platform. You will work hands-on with real data and real systems — analyzing large transaction datasets to extract ground truth, building and maintaining regression test infrastructure, and contributing to integrated system tests in our lab.
This is a high-impact early-career role with real ownership and visibility. Your analysis directly improves product quality for customers, and you’ll have the opportunity to grow into test automation, systems engineering, or QA leadership as the company scales.

The base salary range for this position is $163-$236K per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
