Job Description
We are seeking a Knowledge Engineer to join our Data Product & Operations team. In this role, you will build and maintain taxonomies, controlled vocabularies, and domain ontologies that bring structure to complex defense acquisition data. Working alongside data engineers and data scientists, domain experts, and product teams, you'll create semantic models that provide structured knowledge to AI systems and enable effective search, classification, and analysis across Govini's Ark platform.
This role requires systematic analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and a passion for combining theoretical rigor with practical implementation. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in taxonomy and ontology development, along with the ability to guide teams in adopting semantic technologies.This role is a full-time position located out of our office in Pittsburgh, PA.
This role may require up to 10% travel
Scope of Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ontologies, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies for defense acquisition domains
- Map unstructured data to structured semantic models that integrate with Ark's data infrastructure
- Establish metadata standards and modeling guidelines in collaboration with data engineering and data science teams
- Partner with product and domain experts to translate business requirements into semantic solutions
- Document semantic models and provide guidance to support team adoption and effective use
- Help drive organization-wide understanding and adoption of semantic technologies and best practices.
- Track adoption and measure impact, continuously refining models, tools, and practices
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience developing ontologies, taxonomies, or knowledge graphs
- Hands-on experience with ontology editors (e.g., Protégé, TopBraid) and graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, RDF stores)
- Working knowledge of semantic web standards (OWL, RDF, SKOS, SPARQL)
- Proven ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate requirements into semantic models
- Understanding of how AI/ML and generative AI systems leverage structured knowledge and ontologies
- Active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one
- Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environment
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Familiarity with defense acquisition data and processes
- Experience with data modeling, schema design, or metadata management

The Behaviors team develops ML models that learn how different agents navigate complex real-world traffic scenarios. We leverage these models to set the behavior of our self-driving vehicle, and predict the behavior of other agents such as vehicles and vulnerable road users.
We are looking for proven leaders and technical experts who are passionate about Level 4 autonomous driving technology, excited by intellectual challenges, and interested in pursuing career growth with a fast-growing company.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Define and execute motion planning and prediction projects that improve our self-driving vehicles’ capability to safely, comfortably and legally navigate complex traffic scenarios
- Lead, manage and grow a team of engineers
- Design and lead the implementation of behavior models that leverage the latest advancements in machine learning, generative AI and reinforcement learning
- Productionize and deploy solutions onto autonomous vehicle fleets
- Collaborate with perception, simulation, data platform and integration teams to validate and enhance your products’ on-road performance

What We’re Looking for:
- Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field; or equivalent industry experience

- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Fluency in Python, including standard scientific computing libraries

We’re looking for a Corporate Counsel (Marketing) to be a legal partner to our Marketing team. We are hiring for this position to own the design of the Command Center overseer experience, focusing specifically on the high-stakes tools and workflows required to monitor and manage autonomous truck activity on the road.
As we scale our fleet of self-driving trucks and expand our network, this role offers a rare opportunity to establish the interaction patterns that will set industry standards for how autonomous systems surface information to oversight teams in complex, real-world environments.
In this role you will
- Own the end-to-end design for the Command Center overseer experience, ensuring supervisors have the clarity and tools needed to monitor real-time truck activity safely and efficiently
- Identify and solve the highest priority pain points for operations leads in their monitoring and intervention workflows
- Create high-fidelity prototypes in Figma to model and evaluate how the Aurora Driver communicates its status and intentions to the Command Center across digital touchpoints
- Work closely with cross-functional partners in engineering and product to define, explore, and ship solutions that support the efficient operation of our fleet
- Influence strategic direction by presenting design rationale to leadership and contributing new processes back to the broader design studio culture
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in product design, with a track record of leading complex, multi-workstream projects
- A portfolio of exceptional product design and craft
- Experience designing operational tools, dashboards, or workflow management systems
- Strong interaction design skills with a high bar for visual design

We are seeking a ML Engineering TL to join the Behavior Planning Team. This is a high-impact role where you will sit at the frontier of autonomous vehicle technology. You won't just be applying AI and ML methods; you will be advancing the state-of-the-art for how a self-driving system reasons about the world, interacts with humans on the road, and masters complex, high-dimensional decision-making.
In this role, you will
- Define the architecture of our onboard planning models: Develop and deploy large-scale models trained with Imitation Learning and Reinforcement Learning that enable the Aurora Driver to navigate complex environments with human-like fluidity and superhuman safety.
- Build our next-generation simulation engine: Architect cutting-edge offboard foundation models that power our simulation engine, creating realistic "world models" to test the Aurora Driver against an infinite variety of edge cases.
- Revolutionize evaluation: Develop powerful offboard critic models that can evaluate driving behavior at scale, identifying subtle nuances in comfort, progress, and safety that traditional heuristics miss.
- Bridge research and production: Reach new frontiers of autonomous driving technology by pushing forward the state-of-the-art, but also deploy your models on real production vehicles that drive on public roads and must meet the highest standards of safety.
- Mentor and lead: Serve as a technical lead, guiding junior engineers and shaping the long-term roadmap for ML-based planning at Aurora, including the onboard and off-board ecosystem that is needed to support it.
Required Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Robotics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 + years of experience developing state-of-the-art ML models, either in a research or production setting.
- Hands-on experience working on Imitation Learning or Reinforcement Learning applied to physical or simulated agents.
- Experience training large models on massive datasets using distributed computing.
- Fluency in Python, with a focus on writing high-performance, maintainable code.
- Deep experience with PyTorch (preferred) or another modern ML framework, and a mastery of modern ML architectures including Transformers and Diffusion Models.
Desirable Qualifications
- A track record of publications in top-tier ML conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CoRL, CVPR, AAAI).
- Experience deploying complex ML systems in production environments.
- Experience in developing generative models or neural simulators for synthetic data generation.
- Experience leading small or large teams to execute highly technical projects.

As a Sales Representative, you’ll own the full sales cycle—from initial outreach through close—guiding prospective students and families toward personalized learning solutions. This is a SALES position that demands a consultative approach and relentless execution. Success in this role comes from:
- Conducting high-volume, high-quality discovery calls with prospective families
- Applying consultative selling techniques to uncover needs and recommend tailored learning solutions
- Building trust and urgency through value-driven conversations
- Consistently meeting and exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
Location: Fully Remote Position
Upcoming Start Dates/Training:
- Paid Training Schedule (Virtual | 6 weeks total):
- Weeks 1–3: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM CT
- Weeks 4–6: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM + 4:00 PM–8:00 PM CT (split shift with a mid-day break)
- Post-Training Schedule: After successful completion of training, your permanent schedule will remain on a split shift (8:00 AM–12:00 PM + 4:00 PM–8:00 PM CT). Exact days will be reviewed during the interview process.
