The Inventory Specialist is responsible for both traditional medical/surgical supplies management and 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain systems. This role is responsible for the accurate and efficient counting, stocking, and auditing of consumable medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceuticals, surgical implants, instruments, and other hospital assets. This role may also be responsible for installing and maintaining 2-Bin Kanban project supply chain lines, including assembling and adjusting inventory storage racks. This is a temporary position that will require extensive travel.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Accurately capture inventory count data in the HITS program, utilizing Excel or paper count sheets as instructed by the Team Leader or other Inventory Management.
• Perform inventory counts, ensuring all items are accounted for and reported according to established policies.
• Report discrepancies in inventory to the Team Leader.
• Maintain a high level of competency in using technology for inventory data capture, including the HITS application.
• Regularly communicate with the Team Leader regarding any issues with the HITS program and/or computer equipment.
• Assemble/disassemble and adjust inventory storage racks, carts, and shelving for supplies.
• Install carts to each par location.
• Organize and stock inventory shelving as directed by the supervisor and hospital staff teams.
• Read data for supplies description, item number, par, and unit of measurement (uom).
• Pick one (1) each of supplies for each par location and label with a temporary label.
• Bin and stage supplies on carts with appropriate bin size and label.
• Label bins and carts.
• Accurately capture inventory count data in the HITS program using Excel or paper count sheets as instructed by the Team Leader or other Inventory Management.
• Follow procedures and protocols outlined in job orientation and training.
• Follow company procedures, guidelines, and standards in customer service, equipment utilization, and internet usage.
• Maintain a high level of competency in utilizing technology for inventory data capture, including the HITS application.
• Attend staff and training meetings for ongoing updates related to Field Operations.
• Communicate with the Team Leader daily to troubleshoot challenges.
• Collaborate daily with various teams while working on projects.
• Follow Inventory Counter procedures and protocols outlined in job orientation and training.
• Perform duties in a timely and effective manner, adhering to established company policies to achieve overall objectives.

Required Qualifications: 

• High school education, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to meet required standards to work within a hospital - including background check, drug test and medical vaccinations.
• State Issued Driver’s License and clean driving record preferred in addition to reliable transportation and the ability to travel extensively.
• Must possess a mobile phone to be able to use company apps for timekeeping purposes.
• Ability to use inventory computer programs to update counts and compile reports.
• Must present a professional appearance.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.

• This position requires frequent travel across the US.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Medical and/or pharmaceutical product knowledge.
• 1 year of inventory count or supply chain experience is preferred.

The compensation for the Clinical Inventory Specialist can range from $13.00 - $18.00 per hour. The base hourly range represents the anticipated low and high end of GHX’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base salary is one component of GHX’s total compensation package for employees. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop high accuracy, low noise and low power analog electronics for use in natural gas flow measurement using differential pressure sensor

• Design, analyze and evaluate systems, products or components, requiring a high degree of technical expertise
• Design and develop complex models or simulations and apply advanced computer programs, analytical techniques or control strategies to effectively meet requirements and resolve problems
• Act as principal investigator or lead a group of engineers investigating problems, developing solutions and preparing related recommendations and reports
• Conduct economic studies and prepare or lead the preparation of specifications, proposals for contracts licensing and safety documents and obtain required approvals
• Represent the group in meetings and conferences; interact with customers to resolve significant technical issues and develop related action plans
• Development of natural gas flow measurement analog and digital hardware boards/solutions from inception through to production release/sustaining
• Research, investigate and define new areas of technology to enhance existing products or to provide new product direction
• Re-evaluate and tune the design and implementation of current products
• Work closely with firmware developers during development and post production stage
• Interface with component suppliers to evaluate components and vendor strategy
• Involved in multiple projects running concurrently

Education and Experience:

• Bachelors Degree preferred in an engineering or related field
• Minimum 6 years of experience; alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments

Qualifications:

• Embedded hardware development experience with microcontroller design and development
• Hardware design from concept through to production including component selection, test, prototype build and debug, regulatory and certification approvals, production integration and ongoing support
• Hands on hardware development experience: analog and digital and electromechanical devices
• Knowledge on EMI/EMC compliance and should be able to perform testing independently .
• Familiar with hazardous area certification for oil field is plus.
• Experience in  low power electronics design, less than 1 watt is preferred.
• Experience in designed for FMEA.
• Bring up his own microcontroller designs by coding and testing.
• Experience in OrCAD schematic capture and Cadence/Allegro PCB layout.
• Experience in creating output job files and fully documented PCBA release package including, schematics, PCB Gerber, BOMs, test procedures, special build instructions.
• Experience on Gate model/SCRUM environment and hold formal reviews including concept, design, FMEA, EMC, functional test would be preferred.
• Familiarity with Flow Computers and Gas Chromatographs a plus

Responsibilities:

• Lead for taking architectural decisions on Embedded Products with evaluating technical and business trade offs
• Work with Product Management and customers to understand their needs and functionality early in the conceptual phase and develop requirements.
• Present and make a case for recommended systems and architectures to peers, product managers, developers, key stake holders, others…
• Make use of diagrams to show such things as: Functional blocks, Data flow, Use Case, Sequence, Block Diagram, Signal Flow, Small to Enterprise Architectural frameworks, Model-based Systems Engineering
• System design and architecture specifically for embedded systems development using real-time operating systems such as real-time Linux or other small footprint OS’s.
• Manage the whole SW development life cycle (SDLC) of embedded software
• Design for software development and deployment using virtual environments and deploying on any host platform running virtualization.
• Work in and/or lead a development team to act as the catalyst to accelerate development

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Sciences, or related field
• Must have minimum 8 years’ experience in embedded systems architecture and design, proven track record in embedded software programming in C/C++ and experience with real-time OS (RTOS).

Qualifications:

• Sound knowledge of requirements and design specification of embedded firmware systems, including hardware/software tradeoffs and design for memory/processor performance
• Robust knowledge of software development processes and standards, embedded firmware development tools, Linux for real time systems, Agile development processes, industrial protocols, IP and Ethernet networking, and industrial process control
• Knowledge about OS/Kernel aspects, ARM and x86 microprocessors, inter process communications, embedded web servers and web-based UIs, OPC-UA, Modbus, SQLite, and secure networking highly desirable
• Capable of generating and managing Technical Requirement Specifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, Critical Thinking and Time Management
