Zipline’s long-range autonomous drone system is already delivering millions of medical products across Africa. As we expand in Cote D'ivoire, we’re seeking a Deployments Lead to oversee all construction and deployment activities nationwide. This senior role is responsible for delivering Zipline distribution centers across the country, leading in-country teams and driving execution excellence from site acquisition and permitting through construction, vendor management, and operational handover. You will serve as the central point of coordination between local teams and global stakeholders across Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, Regulatory, and Partnerships, ensuring each launch meets Zipline’s global standards while adapting to Côte d'Ivoire’s regulatory and operational context. You are a builder, leader, and systems thinker who can navigate complexity, align diverse stakeholders, and deliver results at scale.

What You’ll Do

• Own deployment strategy and execution for all new Zipline distribution centers across Côte d'Ivoire.
• Lead cross-functional coordination between Côte d'Ivoire teams and global stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of multiple deployments that consistently meets partner expectations.
• Partner with government agencies, regulators, and local authorities in Côte d'Ivoire to secure permits, approvals, and strong working relationships.
• Identify and secure sites that meet Zipline’s technical, operational, and business requirements.
• Build and manage a high-performing network of Nigerian suppliers and contractors, ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and reliability of site works.
• Manage in-country budgets, timelines, and resources, making tradeoffs that balance speed, cost, and long-term operational excellence.
• Help hire, develop, and lead a team of deployment project managers.
• Capture and implement lessons learned to continuously refine Zipline’s global deployment playbook.
• Provide clear, data-driven reporting on progress, risks, and performance to leadership.

What You'll Bring

• 8+ years of experience in construction, engineering, or program management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success delivering large-scale, technically complex projects within Côte d'Ivoire, from concept to completion.
• Strong experience working with Côte d'Ivoire regulatory bodies, permitting processes, and local contractor ecosystems (highly preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop in-country project teams.
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and make strategic tradeoffs under pressure.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills – able to represent Zipline effectively with partners, contractors, and government officials.
• A systems mindset, with the ability to build scalable processes adapted to local context.
• Grit, adaptability, and resilience to thrive in uncertain, constantly changing environments.
• Willingness and ability to accommodate more than 50% travel within Côte d'Ivoire.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) responsible for ensuring our systems run smoothly and efficiently while engineering solutions to improve visibility, eliminate repetitive tasks, and increase system resilience. The ideal candidate will balance real-time on-call responsibilities with strategic engineering work to achieve sustainable and scalable service reliability.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rotations to detect and triage service and reliability issues across all environments. Act as the Incident Commander during major incidents: initiating war room or bridge calls, coordinating cross-functional teams, providing timely and clear status updates to all stakeholders.
• Create and maintain meaningful dashboards and alerts. Work with development teams to instrument their code to ensure visibility.
• Develop automation to eliminate manual and repetitive operational tasks (toil) related to reliability across both applications and infrastructure.
• Implement and track Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) defined by the engineering leadership.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints escalated beyond L1 and L2 support, especially those involving performance, reliability, or complex system behavior.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting enterprise applications as an SRE or similar role with proficiency in writing code in Java, Go or Python
• Good understanding of distributed systems concepts, microservices architecture and software design patterns.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes. You have managed applications on a major cloud provider (GCP, AWS, or Azure), and can troubleshoot common container issues.
• Experience setting up dashboards in Grafana and using APM tools like Datadog, New Relic, Signoz.You have a  Solid understanding of metrics, logs, and traces.
• Proficiency in SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL). Ability to write complex queries to debug data issues and a basic understanding of database performance.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SRE to engineer the reliability of our highly distributed platform. You will combine deep knowledge of distributed systems with strong coding skills to define SLOs, lead incident response, and build automation and self-healing mechanisms into our systems. You will balance immediate operational stability with long-term strategic engineering to ensure our services scale linearly with our hyper-growth.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-call rotations as the primary technical lead. Act as the Incident Commander during major severity incidents: initiating war rooms, coordinating cross-functional teams, and providing clear status updates.
  
  
• Instrument code to expose high-cardinality metrics and distributed traces. Collaboratively define, measure, and defend Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Error Budgets with product owners.
  
  
• Write high-quality, production-ready code (in Java, Go, or Python) to build internal tooling, automation platforms, and self-healing mechanisms that eliminate manual operator intervention.
  
  
• Partner with Product Engineering teams during the design phase to ensure new services are built with reliability, scalability, and observability patterns (circuit breakers, rate limiting, backpressure, fallback strategies) from day one.
  
  
• Analyze system performance and traffic patterns to model future capacity needs. Conduct load testing and chaos engineering experiments to verify system resilience under failure conditions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in SRE or Backend Engineering with a strong ability to write clean, performant, and tested code in Java, Go, Rust, or Python.
  
  
• Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and design patterns. You possess a strong command of microservices fundamentals, event-driven architectures, and the underlying principles required to build systems that scale.
  
  
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud providers (AWS/Azure). You are proficient in running production workloads on Kubernetes (GKE/EKS) and troubleshooting cluster/infrastructure issues.
  
  
• Experience designing observability strategies using OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, New Relic, Datadog, or SigNoz to improve system visibility.
  
  
• Familiarity with operating and tuning production data stores (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) in a high-throughput environment.

Job Summary
We are seeking an SRE Team Lead to guide a squad of site reliability engineers responsible for the reliability of our highly distributed financial platform.You will be designing high-level reliability architecture, while also mentoring engineers, defining the technical roadmap, and driving the culture of Site Reliability Engineering within a team. You will balance strategic leadership with deep technical work to ensure our systems and our people can scale linearly with our hyper-growth.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for the SRE team. Architect self-healing systems, define reliability standards (Production Readiness Reviews), and drive the adoption of observability as Code and automation best practices.
  
  
• Define and enforce the end-to-end standard for system visibility. You will guide teams to deeply instrument their code (logging, tracing, metrics) and govern the monitoring ecosystem to ensure alerts are actionable, strictly minimizing noise (alert fatigue) while maximizing our ability to detect and resolve issues proactively.
  
  
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Senior and Associate SREs. Conduct code reviews, facilitate technical workshops and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
  
  
• Act as the ultimate escalation point for major incidents. Beyond firefighting, you will refine the Incident management process, ensuring the process is efficient and that RCAs lead to actionable engineering fixes.
  
  
•  Partner with Engineering Managers and Product Leads to define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) that align with business goals. 

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SRE or Backend Engineering, with at least 2 years in a Lead or Senior/Staff role mentoring others.
  
  
• Expert-level proficiency in Java, Go, Rust, or Python. You set the standard for code quality within the team.
  
  
• Mastery of distributed systems patterns. You can design scalable architectures, debug complex microservices interactions, and explain architectural trade-offs to stakeholders.
  
  
• Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.  You have extensive experience running Kubernetes (GKE) at scale and troubleshooting deep infrastructure issues.
  
  
• Proven experience defining observability strategies for large teams. You have deep expertise in architecting the complete telemetry stack: from custom instrumentation to monitoring and actionable alerting.
  
  
• Strong communication skills with the ability to de-escalate high-pressure war rooms with calm authority.
