The role 

The Site Selection & Colocation Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and securing optimal locations for new data center developments and colocation expansions. This role combines real estate strategy, technical due diligence, market analysis, and vendor management to support the company’s global data center growth. The manager will collaborate closely with engineering, construction, finance, legal, and network planning teams to ensure that selected sites meet operational, technical, and business requirements.

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Lead the end-to-end site selection process for new data center facilities.
• Conduct market assessments, including power availability, fiber connectivity, land suitability, regulatory requirements, and risk factors.
• Build and maintain market intelligence on emerging data center regions, supply trends, energy markets, and colocation pricing.
• Evaluate and shortlist candidate sites through comparative analysis, scoring models, and feasibility studies.

• Coordinate environmental, geotechnical, hydrological, and seismic assessments.
• Assess infrastructure availability (power, water, fiber) and future scalability.
• Evaluate construction constraints, climate conditions, logistics access, and permitting feasibility.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure sites meet mechanical, electrical, and network resilience requirements.

• Identify colocation providers and evaluate facilities based on technical specifications, SLA requirements, and cost structure.
• Lead RFPs, negotiations, and contract execution with colocation and connectivity partners.
• Manage colocation lifecycle: renewals, expansions, migrations, and optimization of space/power allocations.
• Monitor vendor performance against SLA, uptime, compliance, and efficiency metrics.

• Work with data center design and construction teams to validate site feasibility and development timelines.
• Partner with legal on contract terms, property acquisition, lease terms, and regulatory compliance.
• Support finance with CapEx/OpEx modeling, ROI calculations, and business case development.
• Coordinate with public authorities, utilities, and permitting agencies as needed.

• Evaluate risks related to natural hazards, geopolitical risk, security, environmental constraints, and utility reliability.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, zoning laws, and corporate standards.
• Maintain documentation for audits, reporting, and internal approvals.

We expect you to have: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Engineering, Business, Geography, or related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in site selection, real estate development, colocation management, or data center infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of data center power, cooling, and network requirements.
• Experience in evaluating colocation providers and negotiating leases/SLAs.
• Analytical skills in market research, cost modeling, and risk assessment.
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects across regions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Real Estate Associate Project Manager to help the Real Estate team optimize coworking, on-demand and direct office services globally.  This is a critical role within our global Real Estate team.  The Real Estate Associate Project Manager will be responsible for all coworking initiatives in Europe and Asia.  This includes small real estate project management and real estate administration in a dynamic environment.  The role reports to the Vice President, Global Real Estate.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Coworking access  for EMEA, APAC as well as backup for AMER and LATAM coworking support to ensure our employees utilizing coworking spaces are fully supported 
• Coordinate EMEA and APAC Coworking floorplans and services with Design & Construction and Office Operations on small projects
• Complete Weekly Capacity Updates of all Coworking locations where applicable 
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to update Credit Card information for Coworking and assist with Invoicing Issues
• Maintain our Datadog Coworking Members summary, tracking all activity including adding/deleting members, expanding/reducing capacity, adding/deleting locations, pay on demand members, rents, etc.
• Own Global Real Estate Coworking vendor onboarding and Purchase Order creation
• Monitor and report usage of all Coworking locations in EMEA and APAC
• Analyze Pay on Demand monthly reporting and make recommendations from that data to maximize efficiency, manage costs, etc.
• Visit locations as required for site evaluations, location inspections, meet with teams, and to address issues
• Ensure coworking offices are serviced per the terms of the lease Update all Real Estate Vendor, Landlord Contact Lists and Quarterly Review Materials
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement by bringing ideas forward to help differentiate the Datadog Real Estate team through efficiency and scalability to operate as, and deliver “best in class” results

Your experience and qualifications:

• Minimum of a Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate or Law 
• Minimum of 2 years experience in real estate, preferably in a fast-growing, international organization
• Minimum of 2 years financial and/or analytical experience with excellent spreadsheet skills
• Ability to analyze an issue, and/or data and develop a data driven solution
• Outstanding people, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proven track record of working independently while effectively applying departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) and guidelines to achieve success.

The role

As an Electrical Lead Engineer you must prove yourself to some of the most demanding customers in the world! Beyond the standard features of a building, a data centre requires more of your knowledge and skills. Main responsibilities

• Manage and deliver the electrical work packages in multiple projects
• Identify the scope, design and management objectives and deliver project documentation, ensuring the quality and flow of information required for contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities

The Assistant Campus Manager will work directly with the Campus Manger, Regional Manager or Regional Director to monitor, maintain and support EdgeConneX data centers throughout an assigned region. This requires leading scheduled preventive maintenance activities, performing unscheduled maintenance, and supporting any customer requests. He or she will also help manage facility expansions and improvement, new MEP capacity expansions or repairs, and utility upgrades. This position reports to the Campus Manager, Regional Manager or Regional Director of Operations and will be expected to work closely with the other Regional Managers, Peers, Customer Installation Project Managers and with contract vendors to accomplish their tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the Campus Manager, Regional Manager or Regional Director in implementing and managing the Preventive Maintenance program at each of our sites and act as on-site lead for any emergency maintenance done at the EDCs
• Ensure all customer SLA requirements are meet and maintained
• Manage a team of highly skilled engineers within your assigned campus
• Work with our computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and other systems to ensure they are up to date and have the correct information
• Effectively manage, supervise, and evaluate contract technical labor

Title: Sr. Director, Global Market Development - EMEA

The Senior Director of Market Development plays a strategic leadership role in expanding the company’s footprint identifying, developing, and accelerating growth opportunities in new and existing markets in support of EdgeConneX’s global expansion plans. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, working cross-functionally to identify opportunities, understand trends, develop recommendations about, and bring to life market opportunities that align with the company’s growth objectives.

We are looking for a proven, self-starter who will collaborate with Regional leads, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Solutions teams to recommend opportunities to the Executive Team that ensure that the company remains competitive and responsive to changing market dynamics globally. This position will primarily act as an advisor to the Managing Director, EMEA and report to the SVP, Sales Enablement.
