In Summary:

This role plays a pivotal role in shaping On’s athlete strategy across Africa, one of the most important regions in global distance running. As Senior Lead - Africa Athlete Manager, you oversee On’s athlete partnerships in the region from the athlete’s perspective, ensuring that our athletes receive world-class support while building strong, long-term relationships with them and their representatives.

You own the management of our Kenya Training Camp, ensuring it operates as a world-class environment for athlete development while fostering strong relationships with athletes, coaches, and the broader local running ecosystem. You are responsible for identifying and recruiting emerging talent, leading athlete negotiations, and partnering with athletes throughout their journey with On.

You act as a key connection point between athletes and internal cross-functional teams including product development (Footwear, Apparel, Accessories), Marketing (Storytelling, Social, Events), Product Verticals, PR, and regional teams. Your goal is to help our athletes succeed at the highest level of competition while creating compelling athlete and product stories that strengthen On’s presence in global running.

Your Mission

• Athlete Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with On’s athletes across Africa as well as their coaches and athlete representatives. Act as the primary point of contact for athlete needs, ensuring they are supported across all aspects of their careers. Manage athlete communications, career development conversations, and partnership support while maintaining a strong network that enables identification of new talent for the brand.
• Collaboration with Global Athlete Strategy & Partnership Team: Oversee the management and strategic development of On’s Kenya Training Camp, ensuring it provides a world-class training environment for elite athletes. Maintain strong relationships with local coaches, training groups, and community stakeholders while ensuring smooth operations and a high-performance culture. Use the camp as a central hub for athlete support, collaboration, and talent development.
• Execution of Athlete-Driven Programs: Lead the management and development of On’s athlete partnerships across Africa, including key markets such as Kenya and Ethiopia, while exploring opportunities in emerging running markets. Build and manage a portfolio of elite athletes while ensuring alignment with On’s global athlete strategy.
• Talent Identification & Recruitment: Leverage a strong regional network to identify and recruit high-potential athletes across Africa. Lead negotiations and manage the process of onboarding athletes into On’s athlete roster. Develop long-term pipelines for emerging talent and future elite athletes.

About this Role

GiveDirectly’s Fundraising team is responsible for unlocking significant, sustained funding to scale direct cash transfers globally. As we scale, our fundraising systems must become increasingly rigorous, automated, and compounding. Today, many of our core fundraising metrics and analyses require manual effort; this role will help transform that reality.

We are hiring a Senior Manager, Data (Fundraising & Marketing) to serve as the primary strategic data partner to our fundraising and marketing teams. You will combine deep fundraising context with strong technical expertise to define the right questions, establish durable source-of-truth metrics, and build leveraged data products that reduce ad hoc work over time. You will function as a senior individual contributor with significant scope and autonomy.

You will directly own significant data modeling and transformation work within the data lakehouse. You will be responsible for building the curated data models that power reporting, forecasting, and decision-making. Our data infrastructure is built on AWS and Databricks, with dashboards and visualizations in Tableau. You will primarily use SQL to query data and contribute to data pipelines, and Python notebooks for deeper analysis. 

This is a full-time, globally remote position with travel 2–3 times per year for team retreats or planning sessions.

Core Responsibilities

Data Product and Metrics Ownership

• Set vision and priorities for how data supports fundraising and marketing strategy, based on a deep understanding of GiveDirectly’s fundraising model, donor lifecycle, and growth strategy, across revenue streams
• Define, standardize, and document core fundraising and marketing KPIs (e.g., retention, LTV, revenue forecasting metrics) to drive fundraising goals 
• Design and build robust data models in the warehouse that serve as the source of truth for fundraising reporting - weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually
• Establish clear, trusted source-of-truth datasets and metric logic used consistently across Fundraising, Finance, and Leadership, continually folding learnings in to update the metrics and definitions
• Identify recurring analytical needs and convert them into scalable, automated data products
• Scope and prioritize fundraising data products in partnership with Fundraising and Marketing Data stakeholders
• Partner with data engineering on upstream data quality and pipeline improvements, while owning the downstream analytical layer

Strategic Fundraising and Marketing Analytics

• Serve as the primary data partner to fundraising and marketing leadership, informing strategy across acquisition, retention, and revenue expansion

• Translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders that drive fundraising improvements

Data Infrastructure & Platform Contribution

• Collaborate with data engineers and analytics peers to improve data quality, access, and trust
• Partner with the Salesforce Lead to ensure CRM data structure and integrity support accurate reporting and scalable downstream modeling
• Contribute to the long-term roadmap for fundraising data architecture, ensuring systems are designed for scalability and compounding insight generation over time
• Contribute to improvements in GiveDirectly’s data capabilities such as adopting conversational analytics

• 8+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or quantitative strategy roles, including a track record of driving marketing, growth, or fundraising performance through analytics

Skill Requirements - Essential

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in performance marketing, growth marketing, paid acquisition, or a related digital growth role.
• Demonstrated success in planning, managing, and optimising paid campaigns across platforms such as Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.
• Strong hands-on experience with conversion tracking, attribution tools, and tagging frameworks, including Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager.
• Proven ability to build and interpret performance dashboards using tools such as Looker Studio or similar analytics platforms.
• Strong analytical capability, with the ability to turn campaign data into clear recommendations and optimisation strategies.
• Experience running structured A/B tests and using performance insights to guide scaling decisions.
• High attention to detail and strong comfort working across data, systems, and campaign operations.

About the Role: 

The Sustainability and Impact Team at Planet is seeking a new Impact Engagement Manager. This role will have frontline responsibilities to work with Planet’s Impact, Commercial, and other teams, as well as external partners in areas like food security, disaster response, conservation, climate, and humanitarian action, to help us fulfill our mission to Use Space to Help Life on Earth.

The Impact Engagement Manager will ensure exceptional outcomes in every part of the lifecycle of an engagement, from conception and enablement to impact measurement. Your mission will be to become a trusted collaborator, with a strong understanding of our product suite and its application in impact-oriented use cases. You will need to establish and maintain trust with important partners and coordinate closely with many internal groups, including our Commercial, Product, Customer Success, and Marketing teams. Ideal candidates will be excited to partner with leading universities, NGOs and nonprofits, intergovernmental bodies, and companies across cultures and countries on implementing and scaling innovative technologies.

This is a full-time, remote position based in Nairobi, Kenya. It requires some travel within the region, as well as to Europe and North America.

Impact You’ll Own:

• Coordinate Impact programs and special projects while making sure they are delivered with excellence, particularly those involving Planet’s digital public goods, sponsored programs, and expanding Planet’s impact throughout Africa. 
• Demonstrate the potential of Planet products to have significant beneficial impact for potential customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Onboard and orient new Impact partners and customers; support product provisioning with Global Customer Success and Technical Support teams.
• Build and maintain long-lasting, trusted relationships with Impact partners and customers, acting as a key point of contact.
• Communicate clearly and consistently with Impact partners and customers throughout the relationship and project lifecycle, elevating and resolving important issues when needed.
• Assist Impact partners and customers to expand their usage and adoption of our products, particularly in the areas of food security and resilient agriculture, digital inclusion, population change and migration, land tenure and management, and nature restoration and conservation.
• Work directly with internal stakeholder groups to make sure that Planet Impact projects are appropriately scoped and feasible, properly contracted, and set up for success, as well as unblock issues if and as they arise.

What You Bring:

• 4+ years of experience in customer support and engagement or a related field.
• Bachelors’ degree or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of satellite remote sensing, GIS and geospatial products. 
• Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international partners and customers, and across internal teams.
• Solid problem-solving skills, proactive work style, and ability to work independently as well as with a team.
• Experience and interest in environmental stewardship, food security and livelihood improvement initiatives.
• Professional working proficiency in English, the language of the company. 
• Ability to travel.
