The Pre-Sales Solution Engineering organization owns the technical sale of the Cloudflare solution portfolio, ensuring maximal business value, fit-for-purpose solution design and adoption roadmap for our customers. What you'll do as a Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect is a senior technical leadership role. You are a customer facing hands-on technologist with credibility built on domain expertise across Cloudflare portfolio.  You should have solid experience in influencing enterprise architecture design across various senior buyer personas both at customers and partner organizations. Your role will be to convince these decision makers of the long term value of thinking of Cloudflare as a strategic technology partner. 

You will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product, through to Engineering and Customer Support. Your goal of customer success should drive you through the entire organization as you seek out and create scalable solutions for your customer’s needs.

You will work as a part of a highly visible structured pursuit team attached to designated strategic accounts, working to understand their unique business challenges and priorities with a goal of defining short and long term solution architecture with Cloudflare as a centerpiece. An equally important component of this role is the expectation that you scale your expertise and knowledge across the wider Pre Sales Solution Engineering organization.

Specifically, we are looking for you to:

• Build and maintain the long term technical relationship of key accounts, ensuring the successful design, proof and adoption of Cloudflare as a part of the customers critical infrastructure.
• Identify and drive strategic conversations with key stakeholders with the purpose of increasing our reputation and authority within the business, and further establishing our footprint within the customers landscape.
• Be the voice of the customer, engaging and influencing Product Management and Product Roadmap to serve their needs. 
• Demonstrate your expertise of Cloudflare within your field through the creation of professional content, including white papers, reference architectures, blog posts.
• Represent and Evangelize Cloudflare externally at Developer, Community, Technology, Cybersecurity and Industry focused events with thought leadership and expertise.
• Apply in-depth vertical knowledge or domain expertise. Advise on best practices.

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience

• 7+ years of experience in similar role or experience in a technical leadership role
• Previous experience as a solution architect, consultant or technical marketing engineer building, architecting or deploying security solutions
• Good understanding of AI, security challenges and its applicability to today’s enterprise landscape
• Proven track record using it to help drive revenue.
• Strong knowledge of Security Architecture, Design and Operations
• Working knowledge of the broader threat landscape and the ability to distill technology trends, and explain complex behaviors in simple terms
• Proven experience working with customers and partners in successful design and deployment of solutions
• Ability to juggle and successfully drive projects with customers, prospects, and partners.
• Experience with cloud computing solutions implementations including Microsoft 365, Azure, Google, AWS.
• Experience with Application, Security, Performance and Reliability products such as WAF, Bot Management, DDOS, Firewall, DNS and CDN.
• Knowledge of competitive market  around CDN providers, Web application Firewall, Remote access solutions, Next generation Firewalls, DDOS mitigations solutions, SD-WAN solutions , Secure Gateway solutions, SSE/SASE
• Proven hands-on experience with information security solutions such as Web Proxy, NGFW, Security Gateways, SIEMs, SAML/SSO, DLP, Data security and protection technologies such as HSM, Tokenization & encryption gateways.  
• Experience working with Identity Providers such as Entra AD, Okta, Ping, OneLogin, etc.
• Knowledge of web application programming XML, REST/SOAP API’s, REST, JSON,
• Experience in cloud computing based services architecture, technical design and implementations including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery models.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python and IAC products like Terraform
• Knowledge of security and cryptography.
• Knowledge of cloud/virtualization technologies and containerization

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a GTM Transformation Manager to join our Sales Operations team — a role at the heart of how we scale, evolve, and sharpen our go-to-market engine.  

This is not a conventional program management role. You will move fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution — one week pressure-testing a new channel strategy. The next designing the operating model to bring it to life, and the week after that running a pilot to prove it works. You will own problems end-to-end: from diagnosis and solution design through to implementation and performance tracking.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

GTM strategy & commercial programs 

• Develop and execute GTM initiatives — including segment-specific sales strategies, channel development, and short-term commercial levers such as campaigns and quarterly offerings.
• Identify where growth is underperforming, structure the diagnosis, and define targeted initiatives to close the gap.
• Translate strategic direction into clear program roadmaps with measurable goals and milestones. 

Building the New Sales Engine 

• Define the KPIs and leading indicators that tell us whether new programs and motions are working — and course-correct fast when they aren't.
• Bring a forward-looking, builder mindset: you're not here to optimize the status quo incrementally, but to design and stand up the next generation of how we go to market.
• Embed scalable structures, feedback loops, and ways of working that make the sales organization stronger, faster, and more efficient over time. 

Sales effectiveness & operating model 

• Contribute to the design of the sales operating model — spanning processes, coverage models, sales motions, and tooling.
• Identify inefficiencies in how we sell and develop pragmatic solutions that improve performance at scale.
• Structure and run pilots for new sales motions, defining success criteria and learning loops from the outset. 

Stakeholder management & delivery 

• Lead multiple concurrent initiatives, balancing strategic depth with delivery rigor — on time, on scope, and with measurable impact. 
• Act as the connective tissue across Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations — aligning stakeholders, managing dependencies, and resolving roadblocks.
• Track program performance, surface insights early, and course-correct when needed.
• Communicate clearly to senior leadership and cross-functional partners — on progress, risks, and recommendations. 

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

• Solid experience in GTM strategy, sales operations, management consulting, or a related field — with real, hands-on exposure to B2B sales in a fast-moving start-up or scale-up environment. 

• Demonstrated understanding of what drives B2B sales performance: pipeline dynamics, sales cycles, coverage models, channel economics, and buyer behavior. 

• Proven ability to own both strategy and execution: you can write a sharp strategy deck and then roll up your sleeves to implement it. 

• Strong operating model and process design skills — you understand how org design, systems, and processes interact to drive (or hinder) commercial performance. 

• Sharp analytical skills — comfortable with segmentation analysis, business case modeling, and performance reporting. 

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across seniority levels and functions. 

• High tolerance for ambiguity; able to structure unclear problems and drive to clarity independently. 

Nice to have 

• Hands-on experience with CRM or sales tech (e.g. Dynamics CRM, HubSpot). 

• Background in channel strategy or launching new sales motions. 

• Experience in a scale-up or high-growth environment.

ABOUT US

The Senior Manager, Software Engineering Xometry EU will lead the engineering organization across Europe and serve as one of the most senior technology leaders in the region. Reporting to the CTO, International, this leader will be accountable for building, scaling, and maturing high-performing software engineering teams across EU hubs — while ensuring deep alignment with global product, platform, and AI initiatives.

This is a high-visibility role ideal for an engineering executive who has led large teams of 50-100 engineers and operated at entry/mid-executive level in large tech-first companies (e.g., Amazon, Zalando, Google, Meta) or senior-executive level in mid-sized tech-driven organizations (e.g. HelloFresh, Etsy, Delivery Hero).

The role requires someone who can blend technical excellence, operational rigor, people leadership, and strong business orientation — and can thrive in a global, distributed, multi-time-zone environment spanning the US, Europe, China, India, and Turkey.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Execution

• Lead and scale the Xometry EU engineering organization, including platform, customer-facing, and supplier-facing domains.
• Drive engineering execution for all EU/TR/UK/IN/SG market initiatives, ensuring predictable delivery, high quality, and strong alignment with product counterparts.
• Build and evolve engineering practices around reliability, testing, architecture, on-call, observability, and operational excellence.

 Talent & Organization

• Attract and retain top-tier engineering talent from leading global tech companies and strong EU tech ecosystems.
• Build a strong culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across EU engineering teams.

• Drive engineering operational excellence including SLAs, incident response, run cost optimization, CI/CD maturity, and reliability improvements.
• Establish and manage EU-specific engineering KPIs, productivity metrics, and quality measures.

Experience & Qualifications

• Established Senior-Manager+ level engineering experience in a large-scale technology-first company (e.g., Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Zalando, Spotify), or Director+ level in a mid-sized tech organization (e.g., Etsy, HelloFresh, Deliveroo).
• Deep familiarity with engineering teams anchored in Munich, including those with strong Russian talent bases; Russian fluency strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing engineering teams of 50–150+, including distributed teams and multi-location engineering hubs. 
• Deep experience in modern software engineering: cloud-native architectures, microservices, data-intensive systems, distributed systems, CI/CD, reliability engineering.
• Strong track record of building and maturing engineering organizations, including hiring, coaching, and developing engineering managers and senior engineers.
• Experience working in product-led environments with tight engineering-product collaboration. 
• Evidence of operating in global companies with teams spread across multiple geographies and cultures.
• Strong problem-solving orientation with the ability to connect engineering decisions to business outcomes.
