About the Role

NICE is seeking a talented AI Engineer to accelerate innovation across the APAC region by leading AI-centric Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Pilots alongside our extended solution and sales engineering teams. This role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge AI development and customer-facing technical delivery, with a special focus on Agentic AI solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible with intelligent automation and large language models.

The AI Engineer will work hands-on to design, build, and demonstrate AI-powered solutions, translating complex technical capabilities into tangible business value for customers across APAC.

How will you make an impact?

Agentic AI POCs & Pilots

• Design and build Agentic AI proofs of concept

     Architect and develop end-to-end Agentic AI solutions demonstrating autonomous decision-making, multi-step reasoning, and task orchestration across APAC customer engagements.

• Prototype rapidly

     Build lightweight, demonstrable prototypes using LLMs, agent frameworks, and NICE /Cognigy platform APIs to showcase the art of the possible.

Development & Engineering

• Develop and integrate APIs, webhooks, and microservices connecting LLMs and AI models to enterprise platforms and CX workflows.
• Build and maintain reusable AI accelerator assets, code templates, and demo environments for the extended APAC team.
• Implement prompt engineering strategies, RAG pipelines, and agent orchestration frameworks LLM & AI Model Expertise
• Apply knowledge of large language models (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, Llama, etc.) to design appropriate solutions for customer use cases.
• Evaluate and select the right model, fine-tuning approach, or retrieval strategy for each POC based on accuracy, latency, and cost requirements.
• Stay current with the rapidly evolving LLM ecosystem including model releases, agent frameworks, and emerging AI tooling.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Contribute to internal playbooks, documentation, and demo libraries to uplift the broader team’s AI capabilities.
• Engage with customers directly to understand requirements and translate them into practical AI solution designs.

Have you got what it takes?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 4-8 years of software development experience in developing high performance, highly available and scalable enterprise-grade software products that can perform, scale, and integrate into a broad enterprise ecosystem.

Programming proficiency:

• Experience with REST APIs, JSON, cloud SDKs
• Familiarity with data processing, vector databases and embedding pipelines for RAG architecture.
• Ability to debug, iterate quickly, and deliver working demos under tight timelines.

AI & Machine Learning Understanding

• Solid conceptual and practical understanding of machine learning fundamentals, NLP/NLU, and generative AI.
• Experience designing or building Agentic AI systems — including tool use, memory, planning, and multi-agent coordination.
• Understanding of responsible AI practices, hallucination mitigation, and evaluation methodologies for LLM outputs.

LLM Usage & Prompt Engineering

• Proficient with LLM APIs     including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Azure OpenAI, and open-source models via Hugging Face or Ollama.
• Strong prompt engineering skills: few-shot prompting, chain-of-thought, structured outputs, and system prompt design.

Version Control & Collaboration Tools

• GitHub / Git proficiency:

     Comfortable with branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.

• Ability to manage, share, and version AI demo assets and code in shared repositories accessible to the extended team.
• Experience with CI/CD basics and familiarity with tools such as GitHub Actions, or similar pipelines, is advantageous.

• Experience with NICE CXone, Cognigy (conversational AI & agent orchestration platform), or similar CCaaS / conversational AI platforms.
• Knowledge of the APAC technology landscape and experience working with enterprise customers in the region.
• Background in contact centre, CX, or enterprise SaaS environments.
• Exposure to voice AI, speech-to-text/text-to-speech pipelines, or real-time AI in contact Centre contexts.

Role Overview

We are looking for domain-first, systems-oriented engineers who understand how real-world systems (in renewable energy, automotive, manufacturing, IoT, etc.) generate and use data — and can translate that into meaningful AI-driven workflows using DevRev.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will act as a trusted advisor, combining domain expertise, engineering depth, and problem-solving to help customers unlock value from their data through DevRev’s AI platform.

You will work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to design solutions that go beyond demos — enabling real-world automation, intelligence, and agentic workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with customers to deeply understand domain workflows, systems, and data flows (e.g., connected vehicles, factory systems, IoT environments)
• Translate real-world signals (sensor data, logs, events) into insights, workflows, and automated actions
• Build and showcase AI-driven workflows, automations, and agentic use cases
• Design and articulate end-to-end solutions (data ingestion → processing → decision → action)
• Act as a technical advisor, guiding customers on how DevRev can integrate into and enhance their existing systems
• Deliver tailored demos, PoCs, and solution walkthroughs grounded in real-world use cases (not generic SaaS demos)
• Support integrations with external systems via APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines
• Contribute to technical proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and solution architectures
• Stay current on industry trends (renewable energy, automotive, manufacturing, IoT, AI) and bring insights into customer conversations

Qualifications & Skills

Domain Expertise 

• Experience in renewable energy, automotive, manufacturing, industrial systems, or IoT environments
• Strong understanding of:
• Connected systems (vehicles, machines, robotics, embedded systems)
• Sensor ecosystems (CAN, telemetry, vision systems, IoT devices)
• Real-world data (signals, logs, time-series)
• Familiarity with manufacturing workflows (inspection, defect detection, production cycles).
• Ability to explain data flow from system → processing → business outcomes

Engineering Depth

• Strong system-level thinking
• Experience with:
• Data pipelines, APIs, integrations, distributed systems
• Experience in Python / TypeScript / JavaScript (or similar)
• Understanding of system design, reliability, and failure handling
• Exposure to AI/ML in industrial use cases (vision systems, predictive maintenance, log-stream analysis, etc.)

Problem Solving & Use Case Thinking

• Ability to translate data → insights → workflows → actions
• Experience designing end-to-end systems

AI & Tools

Head of Quality Engineering to lead and scale our QA function in India (Relocation to Noida required) 

 This is a pivotal leadership role within our Engineering and Technology team, requiring a unique blend of strategic foresight, commercial awareness, and hands-on technical expertise.

What you’ll be doing: 

Leadership, Team Development & Future-Readiness 

• Build & Scale: Recruit top-tier QA talent to build the India team. Manage high-volume, high-pressure hiring cycles and  a establish QA Automation hub. 

• Future-Proofing the Workforce: Collaborate closely with Sales and Business Development teams to understand the sales pipeline and emerging market trends. Translate these insights into training roadmaps to ensure the team is "project-ready" for next-generation work before it arrives. 

• Talent Development: Follow and contribury to global engineering career progression frameworks. Foster a culture of continuous learning by coordinating training programs, onboarding graduates, and personally coaching team members.

AI Transformation & Technical Excellence 

• AI Leadership: Champion the adoption of AI-assisted testing tools and generative AI within the QA workflow. Lead transformation activities to automate test generation, self-healing scripts, and predictive quality analytics. 

• Automation Strategy: Lead the design and development of robust, scalable test automation frameworks using modern tools, with a specific focus on Playwright. 

• Hands-on Engineering: Review complex test scenarios and contribute to automation code or framework architecture. You will be expected to guide the team on technical implementation in Java, Python, or JavaScript. 

• Shift-Left & CI/CD: Support project teams in integrating quality gates within deployment pipelines and drive the adoption of "Shift-Left" testing principles. 

 
Strategic Quality Management 

• Metrics & KPIs: Define and track quality metrics (DRE, Test Coverage, Cycle Time) to provide transparent reporting to executive stakeholders. 

• SDLC Integration: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps leads to embed quality as a mindset throughout the development lifecycle. 

• Infrastructure & Data: Oversee test environment management, data management strategies, and ensure the infrastructure supports rigorous performance and security testing. 

• Client Delivery Assurance: Act as the senior escalation point for critical project quality issues. Build relationships with global account leads to ensure Indian based delivery teams are meeting client expectations and strictly adhering to any SLAs 

 
Process & Operations 

• Agile Efficiency: Optimize testing processes to support rapid Agile/Scrum development cycles, reducing time-to-market whilst improving quality. 

• Prioritization: Expertly handle multiple conflicting priorities and context switching between strategic planning, crisis management, and recruitment activities. 

What we want from you: 

• Extensive QA Leadership & Team Scaling: Proven extensive experience in Quality Assurance, leading and managing teams, with a track record of building and scaling QA teams from small to medium sizes (including graduate intake and senior hires). 

• Comprehensive Technical QA Expertise: Strong hands-on proficiency in test automation frameworks (Java, Python, JavaScript), deep understanding of Functional, API, Performance (JMeter, k6), and Security testing fundamentals. 

• Modern QA Tooling & CI/CD Mastery: Experience with Playwright is highly desirable, along with proficiency in modern CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). 

• E-commerce/Retail Domain Expertise: Understanding of complex buying journeys within E-commerce/Retail domains, with experience using platforms like Shopify, Adobe Commerce, SFCC, or CommerceTools. 

• Strategic Business & Commercial Acumen: Ability to analyse business trends, sales pipelines, and commercial impact to forecast skill requirements, drive proactive team upskilling, and strategically prepare teams for future sales initiatives.
