ABOUT THE JOB

Staff Robotics Engineers lead the delivery of vehicle perception and planning capability integrated in to our products, acting as technical leads, extremely senior individual contributors, and/or as team leads that are also hands-on contributors. This includes systems analysis, sensor selection and integration, perception architecture and implementation, motion planning, health management, behaviour analysis, simulation and test infrastructure, and interfaces with lower- and higher-level systems. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Partner with external teams, collaborating on interfacing requirements between diverse systems and technologies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

ABOUT THE TEAM:

ArsenalOS is the digital backbone of Anduril’s hardware enterprise. It connects the full lifecycle, from concept to build to field feedback, into one operating environment built for speed, traceability, autonomy, and continuous improvement. That environment includes not just the software used to design, plan, and execute work, but also the factory-facing infrastructure that connects operators, machines, test systems, and OT networks into the same adaptive Build Chain. It is not a support function, but rather a strategic investment by Anduril that the operating system of the hardware lifecycle is how we win. It will be one of the mechanisms by which Anduril out-builds, out-adapts, and out-scales the traditional defense industrial base.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-fidelity, automated test procedures on both the component and system level. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Experience in a leadership position within a high performing technology organization
• Extensive professional experience working as a Software Engineer with one or more domains and/or technologies of expertise
• Systems and/or application programming skills including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design and system design
• Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems
• Capacity to work holistically on software enabled capabilities up and down the software stack and through lifecycle through design, implementation, operation and sustainment

• Write and maintain core libraries (frame transformations, targeting and guidance, communications, etc.) that all robotics platforms at Anduril will use

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in areas/fields such as Robotics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
• System architecture experience 
• Hands-on experience developing software for embedded and physical devices
• Proven understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization
• 6+ years of professional C++ or Rust programming experience in a Linux development environment
• Experience with NixOS
• Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems

• Design and validate manufacturing jigs and fixtures using CAD to streamline part removal and workflow efficiency
• Maximize system uptime by developing comprehensive maintenance plans, Standard Operating Procedures, and identifying expected failure modes for high-volume printer fleets
• Customize off-the-shelf hardware and resin delivery systems to meet specific customer production requirements.

• Own the project lifecycle from initial requirement gathering and scope definition through to full-scale production deployment
• Manage on-site pilot programs, providing rapid in-situ troubleshooting and technical support during critical deployment phases
• Collaborate across functional teams, acting as the primary technical liaison between the customer, 3rd party integrators, and internal engineering leads
• Train and mentor onsite field service engineers and customer operators to ensure long-term solution sustainability

About You:

• Engineering or Computer Science degree
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in CAD
• Experience writing code preferred (e.g., Python)
• Experience with software and hardware automation is a plus
• Able to travel (domestic or international) up to 75% of the time during peak implementation phases

As we continue to grow and advance our technological capabilities, we are seeking a talented and dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team in US. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support (remote and on site) to our SNSPD (Superconducting Nanowire Single Photon Detector) systems’ customers, and ensuring their inquiries and issues are addressed promptly and effectively. As this product embeds a lot of different technologies (cryogenics, high vacuum, RF electronic, optical, PLC software, high-level software, network, etc.), this position requires a broad technical expertise, in addition to good communication skills and customer-centered approach.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and technical support requests, specifically on our cryogenic single photon detectors. 
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues reported by customers, providing timely and accurate solutions. 
• Handle product training and installation, as well as guidance to customer, remotely or on customer site. 
• Collaborate with internal teams including R&D, Test and Manufacturing department, to escalate and resolve complex customer issues. 
• Document customer interactions, including issues reported and solutions provided.
• Continuously improve customer support processes and procedures to enhance the overall customer experience.  
• Assist in the development of support documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles to help customers troubleshoot common issues independently. 
• Stay up to date on product features, updates, and industry trends to better assist customers and provide proactive support.

You’d be a good fit with:

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Physics, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering or similar
• A demonstrated interest and experience in deploying precise and cutting-edge physics/optical instruments will be a plus
• Deep hands-on experience in at least three of the following: Cryogenics, (High Vacuum), Optical Metrology, RF Electronics, PLC Programming, or Network Architecture.
• A proven track record of troubleshooting complex, multi-disciplinary systems where hardware and software intersect.
• Ability to translate complex technical "hows" into clear "whys" for diverse stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel for global on-site installations and high-level support.
• A self-starting mindset with the patience to navigate high-pressure technical roadblocks and the agility to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced team.

You’d be a great fit with: 

• You don't just know three of the domains listed above; you understand how they influence each other (e.g., how RF noise affects optical measurements in cryogenic environments).
• Experience managing end-to-end installations or complex site surveys independently in international or sensitive environments.

• Proficiency in specific industry tools (e.g., LabVIEW, Python for automation, or advanced CAD viewers) that speed up the diagnostic process.

• A history of coaching junior engineers or creating technical documentation that elevates the whole team’s knowledge base.

The Job:

• Design, assemble, test, and evaluate the performance of 3D printers.
• Participate in design reviews and help solve design, engineering, and manufacturing problems.
• Polish your time management and communication skills to increase your effectiveness as an engineer.
• Build prototype components and assemblies using our in-house facilities. 
• Put your CAD skills to work designing parts and assemblies, creating engineering drawings and learning about the importance of documentation control.
• Assist with direct communications to our vendors and suppliers to help overcome production challenges.

You:

• Have a desire to hone your skills and learn more about engineering design and the process of bringing products to market.
• Have worked with complex mechanical or electro-mechanical systems and want exposure to the inner workings of 3D printers.
• Have one-or-more of the following hands-on experiences:
• Lab research, member of a project team, prior internship or previous work experience
