Sr GL Accountant - Philippines

To complement our rapid growth, we are seeking a GL Accountant to join our US Accounting team.  This position will be hybrid.  The person in this role should be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively with peers and management alike in a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate is someone who experience in preparing journal entries, reconciling financial statements and accounts, and ensuring data accuracy. Successful candidates will have attention to detail, strong technical accounting experience and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically. This position reports to the Manager, GL Accounting. 

Job Description

• Responsible for certain month-end close, reconciliation and reporting procedures.
• Perform the day-to day accounting processes and procedures relating to, but not limited to fixed assets, prepaids, payroll, and certain accruals.
• Perform tasks associated with the general ledger, (i.e., enters monthly journal entries).
• Perform monthly reconciliations and account analysis for designated balance sheet accounts and certain operating accounts.
• Review daily bank activities and assist the GL team with bank reconciliations.
• Assist on quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures with external auditors.
• Assist with SOX controls and facilitate PBCs for external and internal auditors.
• Assist with technical accounting, as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as requested.
• Interfaces with other departments to determine the monthly accruals and other monthly journal entries, especially relating to closing activities.  Communicate with the employee population regarding relevant accounting issues. 
• Review and prepare international month close packages for foreign subsidiaries.
• Identify opportunities and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality continuously.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance. 
• 5 years of Accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting operations and close procedures.
• NetSuite experience is highly desirable.
• Highly detail oriented and organized in work.
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel a plus (V-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)
• Public accounting experience desirable.

Traffic Management Specialist

We are actively seeking a Traffic Management Specialist to join our Carrier Relations team. This person’s responsibilities are centered around traffic management for voice traffic traversing the Five9 network such as monitoring, reporting, augmenting and maintaining carrier call traffic to ensure high levels of quality and reliability coupled with efficient cost margins.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures traffic is meeting expected routes through reporting and troubleshooting, takes corrective actions when necessary
• Provide carrier traffic forecasts with regular cadence
• Provide target rate profiles with an established reoccurring cadence to drive competitive pricing
• Process and load updated rate decks for optimal routing
• Monitors and reports on carrier traffic capacity and performance metrics
• Works with vendors on escalation of problems, status updates or performance issues found in monitoring and reporting
• Participates in carrier routing issues such as the removal of a carrier due to network trouble, calculating the cost and impact associated to the event, facilitating the process while mitigating the risk of restoring the carrier to routes
• Works with business partners to understand problem impact, as well as, support project and work requests
• Works with internal groups such as operations, capacity, provisioning to align projects, work- flow processes and metrics report validation

Requirements:

• 3+ years of telecom experience
• Excellent knowledge of telecom principals and terminology including DIDs, Toll Free numbers, LATA OCN and NPA-NXX etc.
• Knowledge of SIP call routing, Least Cost Routing with Session Border Controllers
• Experience with International Routing including ITFS and iDID’s
• Ability understand capacity requirements as it relates to carriers
• Troubleshoot and resolve persistent problems and escalated issues
• Respond to alerts and alarms troubleshooting and correcting problems coordinating issues with the Network Operations Center
• Self-starter with excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to prioritize tasks and organize workflow accordingly
• Excellent documentation, verbal and written communication skills are required

Five9 is seeking an additional member to the AI and Custom Services team within Enterprise Professional Services. The ideal candidate is a passionate, self-managed individual who delights customers with their technical and communication skills. Exploring new design patterns, pushing the boundaries of product and straddling the line between tactical and strategic are all in a typical day’s work.

You possess technical prowess to design and deliver on challenging customer requirements. You will build to customer approved design specifications efficiently using Five9’s software while always being mindful of where platform capabilities end and customization is required. You are knowledgeable of how to use AI in the contact center and ideally are familiar with Five9 Virtual Contact Center. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers to acquire a rich understanding of their problems, needs, and goals.
• Takes the lead in requirements gathering, configuration, knowledge transfer, solution testing, production rollout, and adoption support.
• Design and configure voice and digital virtual agent applications on the Five9 IVA Studio and Virtual Contact Center platforms for each customer's unique requirements, often with integrations to customer-provides APIs
• Provide customers with configuration advice and problem resolution on Five9 product.
• Consulting engagements.
• Effectively and succinctly communicate with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead technical sessions and become a trusted advisor to decision makers while demonstrating mastery of the Five9 platform.
• Handle pre-sales Statement of Work requests from creation to design document handoff. Includes ability to work with a client to gather true business requirements, determine the level of effort for a project and document a target solution.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Professional Services Implementation and configuration experience in a Cloud computing or telephony environment
• Has good verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Has strong knowledge of hosted solutions (SaaS), VoIP, IVR, and Call Center skills/practices.
• Knowledgeable of Digital Engagement channels (Email, Chat, SMS)

To complement our rapid growth, we are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant, based in our Philippines office.  This position can be fully remote.  The person in this role should be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively with peers and management alike in a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate is someone who has accounting, strong technical accounting experience and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically.

Responsibilities: 

• Participate in month end and quarter end close activities, including reconciliation, flux analysis and journal entries for revenue, deferred revenue and accounts receivable related accounts.
• Assist in preparation of SEC disclosures such as remaining performance obligations.
• Support financial and Sarbanes-Oxley audits including support documentation, and communication with external auditors.
• Assist in system implementation projects, such as NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) and perform UAT.
• Assist on customer contract review and assessment.
• Ensure revenue recognition is in accordance with company policy and SaaS revenue recognition accounting standards.
• Support and participate in revenue accounting as well as order to cash cycle related projects.

Qualifications:

• This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Finance or related field, minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting or finance.
• CPA is required, Big 4/Public Accounting experience.     
• Revenue Recognition experience including adoption of ASC 606     
• Experience of working with Salesforce, and NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM).
• Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Software/SaaS industry experience is preferred.
• Must have solid verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
