As a General Ledger Accountant with Convera based in our Vilnius office, you will coordinate journal entries, gather data and analytics, and provide key accounting support for the team. This is a fixed term position until mid-December 2026. 

Hybrid work model (onsite 2-3 times per week), working hours Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm. Please note: For this position, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Lithuania and be able to start and maintain employment without visa support from Convera.

You will be responsible for:

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Experience with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Be involved in the preparation of standardized and specialized reports.
• Analyze financial data and make recommendations to accounting issues & controls.
• Participate in process improvement projects ensuring effective accounting operations and compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations.

You should apply if you have:

• 2-3 years of experience in accounting. 
• Familiarity with the accounting standards and a degree in Business Management/ Finance / Accounting or a related.
• You must also be comfortable with Microsoft Excel and have a good level of English language.
• Experience in financial reporting would be an advantage.

Why this role exists:

This role exists to keep Private Entrepreneur (PE/FOP) accounting accurate, compliant, and scalable — while leading a team that can support growth across locations without chaos. You’ll own standards, controls, and operations so the business can move fast with confidence.

What you’ll work on:

You’ll lead the PE Hub team, ensure compliance and reporting quality, launch workflows for new locations, and continuously improve processes (including automation).

What you’ll drive:

Team leadership & performance

• Lead the PE Hub team: workload distribution, performance oversight, forecasting resource needs.
• Define KPIs and PDP metrics; build development plans and knowledge-sharing routines.

Compliance & regulatory excellence

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulation changes across jurisdictions.
• Maintain team readiness through updates, internal guidance, and consistent standards.

Internal controls & service quality

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls over PE accounting operations.
• Provide a full spectrum of accounting services with accuracy and predictability.

Reporting

• Ensure accuracy and consistency of PE reporting approaches and outputs.

New locations & scaling

• Research new locations, set up workflows, and ensure documentation completeness and accuracy.
• Build scalable processes so expansion doesn’t break quality.

Process improvement & automation

• Continuously improve internal processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Identify automation opportunities and optimize workflows inside tools/systems.

What makes you a GR8 fit:

Must-have

• 5+ years in accounting/reporting, including supervision of PE activities (FOP/PE).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and PE-related regulations.
• Experience with internal controls and risk management in accounting/tax.
• Ability to manage audits (at least internal; external is a plus).
• Strong problem-solving under tight deadlines; high attention to detail.
• Experience improving processes and leveraging accounting systems/ERPs.
• English B1+; Ukrainian or Russian fluent.

Nice-to-have

• Experience supporting multiple jurisdictions / cross-border PE setups.
