- You are aware of the technical ecosystem where code and artifacts run (infrastructure, runtime, web architecture, operating systems).
- Good to have: exposure to machine learning, LLM fundamentals, agentic AI development, and AI-assisted software tools.
- Good to have: exposure to cloud-based concepts.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop visually stunning, high-performance user interfaces for Wheely's luxury customer-facing services, implementing scalable and reusable front-end components.
- Contribute to the front-end platform through technical frameworks, improving security, privacy, and development processes.
- Collaborate closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, and other Software Engineers to bring concepts to life and ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in a Software Engineer, Frontend / Frontend Engineer / Frontend Developer role.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Browser APIs.
- At least 3 years of experience with TypeScript, React, Redux or alternative state management libraries (e.g. MobX).
- Experience with performance optimization, maintainability, and rich UI design.
- Experience with SaaS, PostCSS, and modern build tools such as Webpack or their alternatives.

We are seeking an Internal Automation Engineer to design and maintain automations for internal teams, write and develop YouTrack workflows, integrate third-party services, own existing internal code, and help teams set up effective processes. You’ll be the go-to partner for internal stakeholders, translating their goals into robust, scalable solutions in YouTrack.

In this role, you will:
- Process and triage internal requests from JetBrains teams, from simple configuration requests to complex integrations with third-party tools.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain YouTrack workflows and apps.
- Help teams adopt best practices in YouTrack, setting up projects, fields, workflows, and automations.
- Own and maintain the codebase of existing automation and workflow modules, improving quality, observability, and performance.
- Gather requirements from teams, map their needs into YouTrack’s capabilities, propose architecture, and estimate trade-offs.
- Regularly collaborate and communicate with the development team.
- Contribute to internal documentation, templates, best practices, and training on how to use YouTrack.

It enables manual and automation QA engineers to turn their manual testing flows into production-ready automated E2E testing scripts, saving hours of manual work and coding. About the role:
You'll own the entire frontend and product UX, meaning you decide how the product looks, feels, and works. You'll design flows, build the UI, maintain the architecture, and set the quality bar for anything that touches the interface. Backend and AI are covered by a strong team of engineers.
Your focus in the first three months:
- Refactor backend-frontend communication and state management. The current architecture was vibecoded – you'll make it ready for feature scaling.
- Establish a clean design system from existing components.
- Ship token-by-token LLM response streaming to improve perceived performance.
- Design user onboarding from scratch.
- Build a user-friendly error system with clear resolution paths.

- Experience designing and implementing frontend systems end to end, not just isolated components.
- A portfolio or examples showing full ownership: projects where you designed and built the frontend yourself.
- At least one full year of experience in a startup or fast-moving team.
- Active experience with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, etc.) with a clear understanding of when they help – and when they hurt.
