Our Kenya program, founded in 2006, operates under the local brand Tupande. Close to 500 staff in our Kakamega headquarters support 1,747 field staff and serve more than 1 million farmers. In Nairobi, around 50 staff support global functions like procurement, recruitment, government relations, and communications.

About the Role

Seeking a risk and controls professional with 3-5+ year experience to lead internal controls design as well as managing health and safety for Tupande factories in Kenya.

Responsibilities

Food Safety & Product Integrity

• Build the Standards: Help set up and run food safety systems (like HACCP, FSSC 22000, and GlobalG.A.P.) and create tracking metrics (KPIs) for them.
• Inspect Operations: Regularly check the factory to make sure it meets safety and legal rules. This includes:
• Running swab tests, chemical checks, and moisture tests to double-check the factory lab's accuracy.
• Testing the recall system unexpectedly to prove the team can track any product from farm to bag in under 4 hours.
• Doing surprise checks on cleaning, allergen controls, and germ prevention.
• Fix Issues: Investigate food safety problems, figure out what went wrong, and help the factory team fix it.

 Workplace Safety (OSHA)

• Assess Hazards: Check processing machinery to make sure physical safety guards and emergency shut-offs work properly.
• Manage High-Risk Areas: Enforce rules for safe stacking heights and fall protection.
• Protect Visitors: Ensure all guests and contractors get safety briefings, wear the right gear (PPE), and sign liability waivers.
• Audit & Train: Walk through the plant to spot safety issues, train staff, and work with teams to fix any problems.

Sourcing & Supply Chain Quality

• Set Up Early Checks: Make sure field officers test crops for moisture, maturity, and dirt before they leave the collection centers.
• Calibrate Scales: Test and adjust field scales regularly to prevent financial losses from incorrect weighing or fraud.
• Reconcile Inventory: Match the amount of product bought in the field with the amount that actually arrives at the factory.
• Check Transport: Inspect trucks and crates to make sure they are clean and free of pests before moving food.

Financial Controls

• Protect Assets: Create and run control systems to protect company property at all factories.
• Enforce Rules: Monitor operations to make sure everyone is following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Stop Losses: Investigate missing inventory or financial issues, find the root cause, and follow up with managers to fix them permanently.

About the Young Professionals Program

One Acre Fund’s Young Professionals Program offers high-performing African graduates meaningful internships and training opportunities at a high-performing, mission-driven organization. About the Role

The Global Data Analyst Intern will use large, diverse, cross-country datasets to build foundational data products that enable better decision-making across the organization. This role will focus on creating high-quality dashboards and reports that are trusted, scalable, and widely used — in service of our mission: bigger harvests, healthier families, and richer soil for smallholder farmers.

Responsibilities

Build Foundational BI Data Products

• Design, build, and maintain high-impact operational reports (to run day-to-day work) and dashboards (for oversight/KPI purposes), to enable analytics across functions.
• Ensure dashboards and reports are accurate, well-documented, and built for long-term sustainability.
• Monitor adoption and continuously improve usability and relevance. This role is less focused on one-off data projects and more focused on building durable tools that people consistently use and trust.

Managing Tech Service Desk Day-to-Day Operations:

• Oversee the daily operations of the tech service desk, ensuring high-quality service and efficient problem resolution.
• Ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues, acting as the first point of contact for critical service desk matters.
• Manage service desk workflows, track performance, and ensure proper follow-up on all service requests.

Own department Analytical Domains and Partner with Data Engineering

• Serve as the primary analyst for the department.
• Deeply understand business processes and logic within the department.
• Own the full delivery of dashboards and data analytics products: make prioritization decisions, understand user needs, wireframe and design outputs, and own delivery and iteration.
• Partner closely with Data Engineers to ensure business rules are embedded in the warehouse and semantic layer.
• Clearly communicate data limitations and ensure metric consistency.
• The goal is to ensure logic lives in the data model, not scattered across dashboards.

Strengthen Analytical Standards Across the Global Supply Chain (GSC) Department.

Zipline’s long-range autonomous drone system is already delivering millions of medical products across Africa. As we expand in Cote D'ivoire, we’re seeking a Deployments Lead to oversee all construction and deployment activities nationwide. This senior role is responsible for delivering Zipline distribution centers across the country, leading in-country teams and driving execution excellence from site acquisition and permitting through construction, vendor management, and operational handover. You will serve as the central point of coordination between local teams and global stakeholders across Engineering, Supply Chain, Legal, Regulatory, and Partnerships, ensuring each launch meets Zipline’s global standards while adapting to Côte d'Ivoire’s regulatory and operational context. About the Role

We are seeking two Data Senior Supervisors to join our Global Supply Chain operations. You will be critical in ensuring data integrity, system efficiency, and seamless financial reconciliation across our operations.

Responsibilities

Role 1: Global Purchasing Data Senior Supervisor

Focus: Payment Cycles & Procurement Analytics

• End-to-End Payment Processing: Manage payment requests for global and in-country teams, ensuring 100% timely processing within set SLAs.
• Reconciliation & Variance Management: Resolve seed and stock variances within strict timelines (1-2 weeks) and collaborate with Inventory Data teams.
• PO Lifecycle Management: Lead monthly stand-ups to track open POs, ensuring 95% closure of overdue items and escalating long-term risks.
• KPI Reporting: Utilize Power BI and SAP to monitor performance metrics, flag inconsistencies, and drive data-led decision-making.
• Ticketing Excellence: Maintain FreshDesk responsiveness (24-48hr turnaround) for Rwanda, Tanzania, and Global procurement requests.

Role 2: GSC Input Delivery Data Senior Supervisor

Focus: Inventory Integrity & Warehouse Systems

• Inventory Accuracy: Oversee counts and reconciliations across warehouses, performing Quality Control (QC) on count sheets and variance reporting.
• System Champions: Act as the lead for SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), providing training and troubleshooting support to country teams.
• Transaction Quality Control: Conduct regular QC reviews on Goods Receipt POs (GRPOs) and inventory moves to ensure data integrity and prevent shrinkage.
• Root Cause Analysis: Drive continuous improvement by analyzing recurring errors and implementing corrective actions in transaction posting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance for accurate stock reporting and with Purchasers to facilitate efficient PO closure.
