Role: Integrated Designer
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
About the role:
Join our dynamic team as a Delivery-Focused Integrated Designer, where you’ll be an integral part of the studio team for a global FMCG client, based in Bryanston Johannesburg. The Delivery-Focused Integrated Designer takes digital, print and social content projects from brief to completion. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt designs and translate supplied campaigns and brand guidelines into impactful designs cross channels.
As the Integrated Designer, you’ll work closely with the local client, manage your work schedules closely with the Account Director and Art Director. You would need to understand working within specified timeframes and budgets. The right candidate will also have the ability to ensure quality and consistency of deliverables are met by self-QC.
Reporting to the Art Director, the Integrated Designer will work alongside a Copywriter and another Integrated Designer.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with the team to produce design/adaptation to the client’s brief and exacting standards from the outset until completion, including OOH, in-store, digital, print, and social.
- Positively influencing clients with creative input in addition to undertaking and pitching new proactive creative concepts when appropriate.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all design deliverables while adhering to brand guidelines and project specifications in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Produce high volume campaigns across all static and moving image channels.
- Utilising graphic design programmes such as Adobe photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design to deliver static content.
- Utilising After Affects to manually build bespoke requests for local markets.
- Ability to storyboard and craft short and long form animations.
- Have a strong knowledge of the brand guidelines to act as a brand guardian.
- Communicate and present projects effectively to internal stakeholders and clients, incorporating feedback to refine and iterate designs as needed.
- Create inspiring and exciting content – from repurposing, reformatting of assets to ideation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.
- Ability to deliver final artwork and toolkits on digital and print based material.
What you need to be great in this role:
- Equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
- 4+ years of professional experience in design, artwork and production
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work across various platforms and mediums
- Experience working with multiple campaigns, languages, and digital channels.
- Ability to engage and build rapport with clients, and organise and influence them
- Ability to take initiative, think creatively, and solve problems independently
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and an understanding of future-facing platforms – with a desire to embrace new software and efficiency-led AI platforms
- Strong design & motions skills and comprehensive understanding of Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, In-Design, Photoshop, and Premier Pro and rendering/output settings.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple delivery needs – right first time
- Strong typography, layout and technical skills with excellent attention to detail
- An understanding of responsive design across all digital platforms
- Experience working with static and motion using the full Adobe suite of programmes
- An understanding of automation software and willingness to embrace them
- Working on print-based collateral with great knowledge of branding
- The ability to talk through your ideas confidently with the team and clients
- 4 + years of relevant experience in:

Role: Senior Conceptual Copywriter

About the role:
Join our dynamic and innovative in-house creative agency, working with our client. Our team is dedicated to crafting engaging and persuasive content that resonates with audiences across both social and digital platforms. We collaborate with diverse departments to ensure our campaigns amplify our brand voice and presence. As a Senior Conceptual Copywriter, you will play a pivotal role in driving creative concepts and optimising content for various platforms, all while working in an energetic and fast-paced environment.
What you will be doing:
- Develop original, engaging and innovative concepts and copy for short term and long-term campaigns, digital, social media and instore campaigns, adapting writing to match a different brand guidelines and tone of voices.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations. You’ll be someone who is open to new ideas and approaches, able to quickly grasp new concepts, and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Adapting copy across assets and platforms for roll out locally in South Africa.
- Present and communicate ideas effectively to clients and colleagues, working collaboratively to achieve project goals.
- Working in Collaboration with the Senior Art Director Design and the lead Account Director for the client leading and setting up the studio for success.
- Assist with crafting case studies, awards scripts on work.
- Willingness to work across big conceptual jobs as well as small adaption and content roll out.
What you need to be great in this role:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a copywriting role, with a strong portfolio highlighting conceptual creativity, preferably in the FMCG or similar industry.
- Understanding of consumer behaviour and target audience.
- Excellent written, editing, proofreading, verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple projects at once.
- Desire to be a team player with a client centric focus and the ability to build strong and effective working relationships.
- Experience working collaboratively with a design team.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of working independently and within a team.
- Experience in presenting ideas confidently in a professional environment.
- Strong writing portfolio demonstrating conceptual skillsets.
- AI experience using various platforms.
