What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Coach (Assistant General Manager), you're a hands-on leader who inspires your team while driving operational excellence. Essential Functions

• People + Leading the Team: Partners with the Head Coach on hiring, onboarding, and training while fostering a culture of trust and recognition. Anticipates operational needs and adjusts deployment to support smooth operations. Provides hands-on coaching, steps in during peak times or staffing gaps, and ensures clear communication for consistent execution.
• Food Safety + Journey: Upholds high standards for food safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance by inspecting food quality, checking temperatures, and ensuring compliance. The Role:

The Senior Program Manager, Operational Excellence is a high-impact individual contributor  responsible for advising senior leadership on the vision and strategy for the organization. Work environment & Physical demands

• The merchandiser role is an outside field position where 80% of the time will be out on the field visiting customer, driving most of the time and part of your time will be spend internally at your assigned branch, helping customers showing slabs, assembling displays, collecting samples and supporting internal staff under supervision of the local Branch manager or the executive team.
• Merchandisers will be part of the internal staff as needed and will be part of the schedule rotating Saturday.
• Merchandisers should expect to handle heavy lifting, loading and unloading displays up to 50 pounds.
• Merchandisers will support distribution centers in their region

After years of building an innovative POS platform for restaurateurs, Toast is expanding its offerings into other food and beverage concepts such as convenience stores, grocery stores, and bottle shops. This role will require a founder’s mindset as we grow Toast’s presence in this new vertical with a new offering: the Toast Retail platform. 

Toast offers an all-in-one platform that helps restaurateurs and retailers operate their business, increase sales, engage guests, and keep employees happy. As a District Manager, you are pivotal to the growth of the Toast brand in your district. You will report into a Director of Retail Sales and will hire, build, and coach a team of Retail Territory Account Executives who are working everyday to transform the way grocery stores, bottle shops, and convenience stores operate. You’ll work closely with your sales team to understand the Retail operators’ unique needs, and you’ll work closely with the product team to build solutions that help Retailers thrive.

This is a remote opportunity based out of Jacksonville, FL with travel expectations up to 35 percent of the time.

A day in the life (Responsibilities) 

• Hire, develop, motivate, and manage a quota-achieving sales team
• Coach your team on a full cycle sales process. This includes coaching on how to conduct efficient discovery meetings, live demos, and craft a solution proposal that best meets the prospective customer’s needs
• Spend time coaching and empowering your team through field visits that include walk-ins, prospecting, trade shows, and local business partnerships to help exceed quotas
