Job Overview
The Infrastructure Engineering group (IE) is responsible for innovation in infrastructure and automation for ZoomInfo Engineering. Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Thorough, clear, concise documentation of new and existing standards, procedures, and automated workflows
- Championing of best practices and standards around infrastructure configuration and management
- Experience in creating internal products and managing their software development lifecycle
- Deployment, configuration, and management of infrastructure via infrastructure as code
- Working hands on with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, and GCP)
- Working hands on with container infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, GKE, GAE, etc.)
- Configuration and management of Linux based tools and third-party cloud services
- Continuous improvement of our infrastructure, ensuring that it is highly available and observable
Minimum Requirements
- Solid foundation of experience managing Linux systems in virtual environments (6+ years)
- Deploying and maintaining highly available infrastructure in one or more Cloud providers (5+ years, AWS or GCP preferred)
- Infrastructure as code using Terraform (4+ years)
- Creating, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting Docker images (4+ years)
- Scoping, deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters (4+ years)
- Developing and maintaining an active codebase in Go, Python preferably (3+ years)
- Experience with PaaS technologies (5+ years, EKS and GKE preferred)
- Maintaining monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus preferred)
- Thorough understanding of network infrastructure and concepts (VPNs, routers and routing protocols, TCP/IP, IPv4 and v6, UDP, OSI layers, etc.)
- Experience with load balancing and proxy technologies (Istio, Nginx, HAProxy, Apache, Cloud load balancers, etc.)
- Debugging and troubleshooting complex problems in cloud-native infrastructure.
- Slack native mentality.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience.

The role
We’re seeking an exceptional Principal Application SW Engineer to join our Japan-based within the Application Software team, focused on localising and advancing Wayve’s autonomous driving technology for the Japanese market. This is a unique opportunity to play a hands-on role in shaping our AV capabilities in Japan from the ground up.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the bring-up and early validation of our AI software stack on customer hardware platforms, ensuring seamless performance across diverse SoCs and operating systems. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Verification, Release, and OEM partners to ensure smooth integration and reliable delivery.
Key responsibilities:
- Execute software bring-up on customer hardware platforms (e.g. NVIDIA Drive, Qualcomm Ride).
- Port and configure Linux-based systems, QNX, and Adaptive AUTOSAR environments.
- Integrate and validate drivers, middleware, and boot-time configurations.
- Collaborate with Verification & Release teams to integrate hardware into CI/CD, HIL, and test infrastructure.
- Work with OEM and Tier 1 teams to resolve hardware-specific integration issues.
- Implement system-level diagnostics, logging, and secure boot configuration.
- Develop automation for setup, flashing, health checks, and test execution on target hardware.
About you
In order to set you up for success at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience.
- 8+ years of experience in embedded or automotive software development, ideally with hands-on platform bring-up experience.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++, Bash, and Python.
Deep understanding of Linux-based embedded systems (Yocto, systemd, bootloaders, device trees). - Familiarity with QNX and Adaptive AUTOSAR environments and the ability to configure and debug them on target hardware.
Experience with bring-up on automotive-grade SoCs (e.g., NVIDIA Orin, Qualcomm SA8295/SA8650, Renesas, TI). - Comfortable working with hardware debuggers, flashing tools, serial consoles, and board support packages (BSPs).
- Familiarity with communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, I2C.
- Hands-on experience integrating embedded platforms into CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks.
- No Japanese language required.
Desired
- Exposure to automotive verification environments (e.g., HIL systems, Vector toolchains, custom CI rigs).
- Experience working in a safety-critical domain with an understanding of ISO 26262, boot-time determinism, and watchdogs.
- Understanding of secure boot, OTA updates, and system-level cybersecurity topics.
- Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, Git, and artifact management tools like JFrog Artifactory.
This is a full-time role based in our office in Tokyo - we offer relocation package and visa sponsorship.

The role
We are hiring Senior and Staff ML Engineers that sit within Safety Systems / autonomy organisations, building critical behaviours for Level 2 to level 4 driving. It is highly product-focused: you will train and iterate on end-to-end driving models and get them shipped into the car on a fast timeline measured in months. The opportunity is to own the full loop from data and training through evaluation and on-road validation, with direct impact on high-priority commercial deliveries (including the Nissan MVP). You will join a small, high-ownership teams at the point of rapid growth, where execution and real-world outcomes matter.
Key responsibilities
- Develop the AI driver model architecture and training algorithms to introduce and enhance the safety behaviors for L2/L3/L4
- Own key parts of the training model lifecycle, including evaluation strategy, success metrics, and iteration planning.
- Mine, bucket, and curate real-world and synthetic data to teach specific driving behaviours, and implement data schemes to support training.
- Run and analyse on-road and offline experiments, translate results into clear next steps, and drive improvements through repeated training cycles.
About you
In order to set you up for success as a Machine Learning Engineer at Wayve, we’re looking for the following skills and experience.
Essential
- Proven experience training deep learning models, with clear end-to-end ownership (data, training, evaluation, iteration).
- Proven Experience taking ML models into production, including working through real-world constraints and quality and safety requirements.
Desirable
- Reinforcement learning experience (especially where it materially improved real-world performance).
- Experience with end-to-end driving models and / or transformer networks
- Automotive or OEM experience, or prior work that involved deploying ML into safety-critical systems.
- Experience with a Pytorch lightning training infrastructure

The role
As a member of the Embedded Automotive Platforms team, you will contribute towards the creation of a software platform that interfaces with the automobile’s embedded hardware. This includes developing abstractions and APIs that enable Wayve’s software and robotics teams to deploy AV software efficiently. Your role involves understanding the capabilities and nuances of various deployment platforms and creating abstractions that minimise the need for Onboard Applications to be customised for each target platform.You will play a crucial role in advancing Wayve’s AV technology. - Proficiency in C++ programming language for high-performance systems
- Hands-on experience with embedded operating systems (e.g., Linux, QNX)
- Strong understanding of Middleware architectures and IPC mechanisms
- Proficiency in profiling and tracing tools to diagnose bottlenecks and latency issues
- Familiarity with Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL) and device driver development
- Knowledge of sensor technologies (e.g., LiDAR, RADAR, cameras) and their integration with embedded systems
- Strong debugging skills and attention to detail in complex systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Desirable
- Prior experience developing and deploying autonomous vehicle software on commercial automobiles
- Experience with NVIDIA Drive Orin platform, Qualcomm 8650/8620 or similar automotive computing platforms
