This role:

The Maintenance Technician (production, utilities, facilities) works as a key member of a high-performance team responsible for supporting daily manufacturing, utilities, and inspection & packaging operations in a pharmaceutical production environment. This position is 100% onsite at the Bloomington, Indiana facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Routine and non-routine checks and electrical/mechanical repair of production, utilities, and packaging & inspection equipment failures
• Troubleshoot and preventive maintenance
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects
• Develop, monitor, and perform preventative maintenance procedures
• Review and track equipment component failures and help make recommendations for increased long-term reliability
• Maintain appropriate equipment documentation and change control according to internal procedures
• Participate in spare part analysis and inventory development
• Installation and startup of new equipment

Required qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED (Technical Associates degree preferred)
• 2-5 years industrial maintenance experience (or equivalent) in a multi craft environment - MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
• 5-8 years industrial maintenance experience (or equivalent) in a multi craft environment - SR. MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
• 8+ years industrial maintenance experience (or equivalent) in a multi craft environment and leadership/supervisory experience - LEAD MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
• Preferred experience in aseptic manufacturing environment
• Preferred HVAC/welding certification
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and the ability to use enterprise software (examples include: JDE, BPLM, Pilgrim, Trackwise, etc.)

Physical / Safety Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
• May be required to stand for over 4 hours per day
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds overhead
• Must be able to wear personal protective as required.
• Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends
• Use of hands and fingers to manipulate office equipment and hand tools is required

The Senior Maintenance Technician - Packaging works as a key member of a high-performance team responsible for supporting daily packaging operations and equipment in a pharmaceutical production environment.  This position reports to the Automation Supervisor.

• Routine and non-routine checks and electrical/mechanical repair of packaging equipment failures

This role:

The Sr. Manager of Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) leads a team of Process Engineers, Maintenance personnel and Equipment Coordinators to support all aspects of secondary packaging for parenteral pharmaceutical products. This position is part of a cell-based building management structure, complimented by peer leaders from Operations, Quality, and Technical Services departments. The incumbent will be responsible for leading a department with foundational expectations centered on safety, quality, execution, collaboration, and process improvement to support cell operational metrics and overall plant goals & objectives. The position reports to the Associate Director Engineering & Maintenance Operations.

The responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining departmental headcount and all associated administrative and planning functions, including interviewing candidates, hiring, onboarding & training, personnel development, performance management, scheduling, directing day-to-day activities and project oversight
• Responsible for equipment performance, preventive/scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, vendor scheduling, and project management - including timely repair and sourcing of critical parts or components
• Responsible for coordinating all activities and/or repairs related to facilities maintenance for building
• Responsible for Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program focused on identifying overall equipment efficiencies to enhance production processes and quality
• Supports identification and procurement activities related to new process equipment. Includes generation of user specification documents, installation, commissioning, and qualification activities Provides oversight and management for process engineers regarding project ownership, including collaboration with CAPEX project engineers, and project timelines

The role:

The Sr Manager Quality, Contamination Control Strategy Lead is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the contamination control strategy at a sterile injectable manufacturing facility. He/she needs to drive compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, PIC/S, Annex 1) and contamination control initiatives, microbiological oversight collaboration, and aseptic assurance across the manufacturing site. This role serves as the SME (subject matter expert) for aseptic practices, maintenance of aseptic observation program data metrics, and the overall contamination control strategy (CCS).

The Sr Quality Manager is expected to contribute to an environment where teamwork and productivity are encouraged, and safety, identity, strength, purity and quality (SISPQ) are reflected in the finished product. In addition, the Sr Quality Manager is expected to partner with QALO and operations leadership, training leadership, and the Contamination Control Strategy Team.

The responsibilities:

• Owns the aseptic observer program, including oversight of aseptic practices, cleanroom behavior, and gowning:
1. Responsible for design and continuous improvement of the Aseptic Observer Program (aseptic manufacturing quality oversight)
2. Organize collected data from Aseptic Observer Program, analyze trends, lead cross functional review meetings, and make necessary improvements with operations leadership based on observations
• Leads the development and implementation of the Contamination Control Strategy (CCS) according to EU GMP Annex 1 and supports its governance in line with applicable regulatory requirements, organizing routine team meetings, annual updates of strategy document, and SME presentation of strategy for audits
• Assist with microbiological and sterility risk assessments for changes, deviations, and CAPAs involving aseptic operations.
• Serve as the SME during regulatory inspections and audits regarding aseptic processing, and contamination control.
• Present aseptic observation program data to site and executive leadership in management review forums, including trending and improvements made
• Collaborates with manufacturing, microbiology, and QC as the site steward of the Contamination Control Strategy (CCS), to ensure appropriate cleanroom qualification, media fill (process simulation), environmental monitoring, and glove/sleeve integrity programs.
• Supports contamination control assessments related to qualification and validation of equipment, utilities, (e.g. HVAC, WFI) isolators, RABS, and cleaning / disinfection procedures.
• Mentors and assists with training aseptic operators, and QA personnel in and contamination control. Responsible for Provide guidance on improvement and standardization of the QALO training program, including incorporation of industry and regulatory intelligence.
• Participate as needed in investigation and resolution of aseptic failures, sterility test failures, EM excursions, adverse trends and related aseptic non-conformances
• Review and approve GMP documents related to aseptic processing, (SOPs, protocols, reports, batch records).
• Lead continuous improvement projects related to aseptic behavior, risk mitigation, and cleanroom operations.

The qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Microbiology (preferred), Biology, Pharmacy, or related science.
• Masters degree or higher in Microbiology or Pharmaceutical Sciences is preferred
• Minimum of 8 years of direct experience in sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing or QC microbiology / QA roles, including at least 5 years in SME capacity related to contamination control.
• Demonstrated leadership or cross-functional team experience in aseptic processing environments (e.g. controlled areas (specifically A/B, isolators, OPEN and CLOSED RABS systems).
• Proven track record of successful regulatory inspection participation (FDA, EMA, or equivalent) as SME for contamination control topics
• Strong knowledge of EU GMP Annex 1, 21 CFR parts 210/211, USP<71>, <85>, <1116>, <797>, <1207> and current industry best practices
• Understanding of aseptic processing, data interpretation, aseptic filling processes and equipment strategies, CCS design, and Quality Risk management (ICH Q9).
• Strong communication skills as the role is expected to interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and site leadership, and being able to make decisions.
• Strong technical writing skills for strategy documents, assessments and investigations.
• Strong attention-to-detail, decision-making capability, and problem-solving in complex technical environments
• Ability to train, mentor, and coach staff in aseptic technique and contamination control.

Working conditions:

• Role requires frequent presence in Grade A/B aseptic environments; gowning certification is required.
• May require occasional off-shift, off-hours, support during media fills, regulatory inspections, or critical interventions

This unique role blends mechanical expertise with in-home consultative sales. You won’t just diagnose and fix problems — you’ll also educate homeowners, recommend upgrades, and close the sale on the spot.

A Day in the Life:

• Assist customers with various product related inquiries and parts identification.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide maintenance, calibration, and technical support to the manufacturing process and facility equipment.  Coordinate and perform testing and calibration on electrical, mechanical, and analytical equipment for conformance to established standards. Request purchase order requisitions for 3^rd party maintenance requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist in creating/establishing a Maintenance and Calibration Program including recommendation of Maintenance and Calibration activities and frequencies based upon system/equipment assessments
• Plan, schedule, and perform planned and unplanned maintenance and calibration on process and facility equipment/utilities including but not limited to HVAC, freezers, cold rooms, bioreactors, filling systems, analytical testing instruments, and building management control systems
• Coordinate and support external calibration service providers
• Build relationships with customers, colleagues, and service partners to provide a collaborative approach to the operational management of lab spaces.
• Track and report on calibration status of all equipment/instruments in the facility
• Ensure timely completion of calibrations/preventive maintenance and compliant record keeping.
• Obtain required documentation and approval prior to creation of purchase order requisition for service requests to be completed by 3^rd party vendors.
• After purchase order has been issued, ensure service delivery dates are correct and revise as necessary, per follow-up with suppliers and customers.
• Source, qualify, negotiate, and procure service contracts in support of lab operations.
• Ensure purchase requisitions are requisitions closed within 180 days and confirm that associated purchase orders are closed as well.
• Enter and maintain records in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Meet regularly with key stakeholders (lab staff, service partners, management) to identify, review and resolve issues in a timely manner and/or escalate as necessary.
• Adaptability required as work schedule may change based on business needs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Associates Degree
• Bachelor's degree 
• EET
• 3-5 years related Calibration/Metrology work experience
• Ability to understand user manuals/specifications, wiring diagrams, equipment Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
• Mechanically inclined/knowledge of hand tools
• Proficient with advanced computer systems including the use of a CMMS
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with ability to act as a change agent
