About the Role
We are building a next-generation observability and cloud platform that is high-performance, cost-efficient, secure, and scalable across multi-region, multi-cloud clusters. You will lead the architecture and evolution of Roku’s observability and cloud infrastructure stack. This includes metrics, logs, traces, telemetry pipelines, service mesh, developer experience, and reliability of systems that power thousands of services and millions of devices.
You will drive a vision where developers gain deep visibility with minimal overhead, onboarding is seamless, and insights are available in real time. Your work will directly help Roku scale efficiently while maintaining reliability, cost control, and performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Architect and lead Roku’s observability platform across metrics, logs, and traces; evolve data pipelines and storage layers optimized for high throughput, performance, and cost at Roku scale (TSDBs, Parquet, distributed processing).
- Extend and harden open‑source observability systems; overhaul core components (e.g., storage layers, query paths) to improve performance, reliability, and usability at scale.
- Implement features such as pre‑aggregation, down-sampling, and sampling to reduce load and accelerate queries across the platform.
- Collaborate across platform, SRE, and product teams to migrate hundreds of workloads to our common platform; augment and automate CI/CD flows and onboarding.
- Integrate security into infrastructure and platform services; ensure robust multi‑tenant, multi‑cluster, and multi‑cloud designs.
- Contribute improvements back to open source and CNCF‑aligned projects; shape standards adoption (OpenTelemetry, OpenMetrics) across the company.
- Mentor engineers; establish best practices for reliability, efficiency, and cost management across service mesh and observability domains.
What You'll have
- 15+ years in software engineering with a track record of architecting distributed systems or platforms at scale.
- Strong hands‑on experience in Golang and one scripting language (e.g., Python or Shell).
- Experience operating observability at pb-scale ingestion and hundreds of millions of series.
- Expertise in observability platforms and tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, ELK/OpenSearch, ClickHouse) and standards (OpenTelemetry, OpenMetrics).
- Deep experience building systems of scale and operating cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes; strong proficiency with service mesh technologies (Istio/Envoy), infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform) and experience in multi‑cloud (AWS, GCP)
- Demonstrated ability to evolve storage and query architectures for cost, scale, and latency (e.g., TSDB, Parquet, distributed processing).
- Proven experience integrating security as part of infrastructure and platform development.
- Exceptional cross‑functional communication; effective collaboration with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

About the role
You will work on core observability systems (metrics, logs, traces) while also developing robust data pipelines and storage solutions optimized for high throughput, performance, and cost. You’ll leverage technologies such as time-series databases (TSDB), columnar storage formats (e.g., Parquet), and distributed data processing frameworks to advance the platform’s capabilities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be critical, as you’ll integrate observability into Roku’s cloud-native stack and contribute improvements back to the open-source community.
- Extend and integrate open-source observability systems, and when necessary, structurally overhaul core components, such as storage layers and query paths, to enhance the performance, reliability, and usability of these tools at scale.
- Build services to improve performance, usability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement features like pre-aggregation, downsampling, and sampling to reduce load and accelerate queries.
- Create developer-facing capabilities for metrics, logs, and traces usage, data quality, and cost management.
- Automate onboarding, dashboards, alerting, and tracing.

We're excited if you have
- 8+ years in software engineering, building distributed, high-throughput systems or observability platforms.
- 4+ years of Go/Golang experience; our observability ecosystem is built on Go, making it the most effective language for this role.
- Experience with, or strong interest in, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, ELK/OpenSearch, Clickhouse) and standards (OpenTelemetry, OpenTracing, OpenMetrics).
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and data models

The Role:
Sauce Labs is looking for a passionate Senior Backend Engineer to join the Sauce Connect team. This agile development team plays a critical role in enabling enterprise customers to maximize their use of Sauce Labs by providing a fast, secure connection between their internal development networks and our cloud-based virtual testing environments. You will work closely with the Product Owner, Engineering Manager, and other talented Sauce Connect engineers to achieve excellent results and shape the future of Sauce Connect
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical direction and architectural design of Sauce Connect, collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver a fast, secure, and scalable tunneling solution.
- Design, develop, and own projects across the full stack, from the backend server infrastructure to the client-side application on Linux, Windows, and macOS.
- Act as a technical expert for complex, escalated customer issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing robust solutions to prevent future problems.
- Drive continuous improvements in the scale, performance, and quality of our Trusted Connection Technologies, mentoring other engineers on best practices and system health.
- Proactively identify and evaluate emerging technologies in the open-source community, presenting well-researched proposals for adoption to drive innovation and technical excellence.
- Make and defend architectural decisions based on your extensive experience, balancing trade-offs between technical debt, velocity, and long-term maintainability.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience in Python or Golang, with a proven track record of designing, building, and operating complex distributed systems and high-availability online services at scale.
- Experience in working with CI/CD tools (designing and implementing robust, automated pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins)
- Advanced experience with tunneling, proxy, or VPN-related solutions, with a understanding of their security implications and performance characteristics.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP networking, HTTP2, SSL/TLS, and WebSockets. You should be able to debug network issues at the packet level.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing containerized applications at scale using Kubernetes.
- Demonstrable product development experience, including the ability to influence product strategy and make technical trade-offs to deliver customer-facing value.

The Mobile Device Infrastructure team is one of the most important core teams in our real device infrastructure product line. It doesn’t only maintain our real device fleet in a healthy state which is essential to our customers, but it also offers services and abstractions used by other teams to interface with the mobile devices fleet in order to elevate the customer experience with added value such as advanced insights and troubleshooting capabilities. The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer (GO) - DNS & Network Systems, you will own the architecture and delivery of Securly's DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) resolver — a production-grade, identity-aware DNS service that enforces filtering policy at the browser and OS level for millions of students on managed Chromebooks.
This is a critical infrastructure role at the intersection of DNS, identity, and network security. You will design and build a high-performance DoH resolver in Go that extracts device and user identity from Chrome enterprise policy URL templates and integrates with Securly's DNS policy engine and Redis infrastructure. You own the full lifecycle: architecture, implementation, TLS configuration, and production deployment on AWS.
This role is the technical foundation of a potential simplification of Securly's SmartPAC identity architecture. Done well, it could collapse significant DNS-RPC signaling complexity (DID/cookie system, IP fusing, brokering state) that has been a source of reliability issues. The scope of that architectural decision will evolve with the POC, and you will be the engineer best positioned to inform it.

What You'll Do
- Architect and build a production-grade DoH resolver in Go, integrated with Securly's DNS policy engine and Unbound infrastructure.
- Implement identity extraction from Chrome's DnsOverHttpsTemplatesWithIdentifiers URL template variables — mapping encrypted DNS queries to device and user identity, and evaluate the degree to which this approach can replace SmartPAC DNS-RPC signaling.
- Build an Unbound plugin with filtering business logic to process DoH queries with identity parameters from the URL template.
- Integrate with Redis infrastructure for policy lookups, identity mapping, state management, and feature flags; document failure modes and define graceful degradation behavior.
- Own TLS termination: certificate provisioning, renewal, and ensuring Chrome correctly validates the DoH endpoint certificate.
- Architect and own the CloudFormation deployment stack: NLB, Auto Scaling Groups, Route53.
- Lead the POC and production hardening phases in collaboration with Securly's Distinguished Engineer; produce a written ADR capturing tradeoffs and the go/no-go recommendation after POC.
- Mentor junior engineers on DNS fundamentals, Go patterns, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Document the new architecture and own knowledge transfer as the system transitions.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and work on the development of our SaaS product. WHAT YOU'LL DO
This is a senior technical role within the Technical Services COE team. As a Portworx Escalation Engineer (EE), you will need to tackle the most intricate and challenging customer issues, serving as the final support tier before escalation to development. You will offer technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance to Technical Service Engineers (TSEs) to resolve our most complex cases. If an issue persists or requires a code fix, you will effectively engage and communicate with development resources to identify root cause and present findings to our TSEs and customers to ensure timely resolution with the highest quality of service. The primary aim of this role is to minimize escalations to the Development team, identify opportunities for improvement, and to prevent future escalations from occurring.
This position is well-suited for a support professional with robust interpersonal skills, seeking a dynamic, high-performance, entrepreneurial work environment. The ideal candidate should embrace the unpredictable nature of daily work in a rapidly expanding business.
- Offer technical expertise throughout all phases of the Portworx case management process for issues encountered in the field.

We're looking for candidates with experience in supporting SaaS environments with a background in compute infrastructure, storage infrastructure, and container ecosystems, both on-premise and in the cloud. Technical expertise with one or more cloud providers (such as AWS, GCP, or Azure) is essential. Proficiency in Portworx, Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu, VMware container solutions (CKA certification is required). Experience with one or more devops tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform is required.

Okta is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead our Load Testing team.
Okta’s customer identity business is growing and evolving quickly. Traffic volume has grown substantially and new features are continually introduced. As a cloud-based SaaS provider, bringing scalable, high performance identity solutions to production at an attractive price is a priority for our business. The Performance Engineering team has a cross-functional charter that involves investigating, identifying, and remediating performance bottlenecks across all parts of our distributed system machinery. This includes the code we write, datastores, messaging systems, infrastructure, and the points at which different parts of the system communicate with one another. The Load Testing team works closely with component owners, platform teams and testing teams to provide high levels of application coverage scenarios. These scenarios simulate load and demonstrate utilization of our application components, APIs and validate our overall scalability and reliability footprint. Load tests are the foundation of our overall performance program.
What You Will Do
- As an Engineering Manager, you will build and lead a team of performance load testing engineers. You will implement agile processes, ensure accountability and enable a team of high impact contributors to deliver simulated load covering tens of thousands of permutations.
- Build and maintain a backlog of high impact load tests that will drive increased visibility into our performance profiles.
- Set the bar for technical execution and participation across your team.
- Encourage a technical growth mindset and advocate for process improvements, velocity metrics and best in class team management techniques.
- You will partner with other testing managers to build a cohesive approach to integration, system and benchmark testing and environments.
- You will nurture a “shift left” culture for performance. You will work to improve knowledge and awareness of performance management techniques, tools, patterns, and solutions throughout Engineering in order to address performance issues earlier in the software development life cycle.
- You will have the opportunity to work with all parts of the Customer Identity Cloud service offering, including code, infrastructure, and architecture.
What You Bring
- Strong technical background with previous experience as a developer or systems engineer.
- Experience leading software development or QA testing teams.
- Strong self-motivation and aptitude for investigation and experimentation.
- Expert level knowledge with load testing tooling, including Apache Bench, Artillery, K6, etc…
- A partnership mindset, focusing on collaboration across teams and supporting feature teams through process and vision alignment.
- Experience with application software in Node.js using frameworks such as Hapi.js or Fastify. Familiarity with Golang is also a plus.
- Experience with API-driven cloud-native distributed system application architecture running in Kubernetes, AWS, and Azure.
- Experience with APM tools such as Datadog APM, Splunk, Honeycomb, New Relic, Dynatrace, or similar.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Experience designing and executing performance experiments designed to validate performance improvements in key metrics such as requests per second (RPS), P95 and P99 latency, query performance, request concurrency, CPU/memory utilization, and cost efficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. In particular, the ability to convey technical issues and solutions in written form and work with disparate teams is important in a remote-friendly team.

DevOps Lead:

It is critical to have services which run high quality data and algorithms that drive business decisions for our customers in a timely manner. As a DevOps you are responsible for building scalable, extensible, secure infrastructure on cloud for CommerceIQ’s applications and data science teams.
In this role, you will work with a couple of Infra/DevOps SDEs and partner with engineering managers to achieve CommerceIQ’s QoQ goals. As a DevOps lead, you will play a crucial role in upkeep security, cost, deployment infrastructure and maintain/develop services owned by Infra/DevOps team.
A successful candidate will be obsessed with technology and relentlessly raise the bar on the architecture, design and quality of code delivered while aggressively pursuing optimizations to meet cost and scale SLAs. The candidate should be capable of managing a fast-paced delivery schedule and influence and drive a high-level engineering strategy with the leadership, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy.
Functional level Expectations
- You should possess advanced knowledge of AWS and other software design approaches to guide the DevOps team in designing infrastructure that caters to scale, concurrency. Preferably AWS certified.
- You should be able to work in situations where you can use your prior expertise and judgment to determine goals, identify constraints, and propose an actionable plan.
- Your work is typically focused on working with multiple teams’ architecture and product solutions.

Required Skills
- At least 6-10 years of technology experience including 3+ years of working experience in cloud
- Ideal candidate should have handled operations, deployment and security of multiple SaaS/B2C products
- Deep knowledge of Python, Cloud or GoLang and one of the public clouds
- Good knowledge of log collection designs like EFK and metric collection tools like newrelic, Prometheus/Grafana or SignalFx
- Good knowledge in design, creation and consumption of RESTful API, Micro service architectures on public clouds preferably AWS
- Excellent analytical, communication and coding skills is a must.

K8s metrics and deployment metrics
We use newrelic(NR) for log collection and operational metrics. But certain shortcomings and solved problems in Prometheus/Grafana might force us to move away from NR. Apart from the prometheus track, the lead will have to work with all. stakeholders [apps/DS] to migrate from OCD to K8s, with all balance and checks in place
EFK stack
Log collection and analysis is via newrelic and it’ll cost us as we move more applications to K8s. We need to optimise or explore options like EFK stack of logs or sumo logic etc
Security audit
We need to be proactive and do frequent security audits of our applications. We need a security center with all our documentation. Place to store the docs/questionnaires we filled for our clients etc.
BCP
We need to audit all our services for disaster recovery and develop a BCP across the company.
CI/CD
The lead is expected to enforce git branching and set code cov, style check guidelines across teams and projects. E.g Publishing the guidelines for Java project, NodeJS project, Python project. Establishing average code cov metrics, running static code analysis, findbug and other security code scanning tools
Infra services
The Infra team also has many services, especially crucial services like BSS (CSS) . These infra services should set the benchmark for DevOps best practices in the org.
Azkaban
Azkaban is our ETL orchestrator. It's run in-house and has custom code deployed. Maintenance of Azkaban to match growth is needed. Exploration and guidance to use other orchestrators like airflow, step function, astronomer is also expected

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our YB Anywhere team. ABOUT THE ROLE: Staff Engineer – Product Security
As a Staff Engineer – Product Security, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our cutting-edge products and driving security innovation in a dynamic, multi-cloud environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to embed security into every stage of product development while staying ahead of evolving threats and industry best practices. This role requires deep expertise in cloud security — including cloud configuration reviews, cloud network security, and experience with CSPM/CNAPP tools — as well as the ability to drive security integration into modern DevOps pipelines. Additionally, you will be expected to effectively leverage AI in the security review workflow to increase accuracy, efficiency, and coverage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own security projects end-to-end – ensuring progress tracking, stakeholder alignment and measurable improvements to customer security posture.
- Review the design, architecture, and implementation of Aviatrix products to ensure adherence to the highest security standards.
- Write and present design proposals and tradeoff evaluations.
- Apply AI effectively in the security review workflow (e.g., automated code analysis, threat detection, anomaly spotting, vulnerability triage) to improve efficiency and precision.
- Conduct vulnerability scanning using multiple tools, automate result aggregation, triage findings, and provide customers with clear guidance and effective mitigation strategies to address security concerns, particularly related to CVEs and vulnerability management.

- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and DevOps teams to integrate security into all stages of the product development lifecycle.

- Ensure compliance with security and privacy best practices, including OWASP Top 10, GDPR, and evolving cryptographic standards.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of experience in product or application security engineering with a focus on secure design and implementation.
- Proven ability to independently own and deliver projects with limited direction.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages: TypeScript, Python, GoLang, Java, or C/C++.
- Extensive expertise in cloud security, including experience conducting cloud configuration reviews (AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, CloudFormation).

We are seeking a Staff Engineer – Software Engineering to join our SaaS Platform team. Staff Engineers at Aviatrix operate at the intersection of technical depth and cross-team influence. You will drive the design and delivery of complex backend systems — including AI-augmented data pipelines and agentic AI integrations — while raising the technical bar across the organization. This role is ideal for an engineer who is deeply technical, thrives on solving ambiguous problems, and is ready to shape both the platform’s architecture and the team’s engineering culture.
Position Responsibilities
Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Lead the architecture and delivery of complex backend platform features spanning multiple microservices; break down large, ambiguous projects into well-scoped sub-projects and guide senior engineers through execution.
- Define technical standards, patterns, and best practices for backend microservices development across the team — covering API design, service communication, data modeling, and reliability.
- Own the architectural design of AI-augmented data pipelines: integrating model inference, agentic workflows, and LLM-based processing steps into streaming and batch data flows on AWS.

- Experience writing unit tests and integration tests; appreciation for testing as a quality practice.
- Hands-on experience building or deploying backend services on a public cloud platform, with AWS preferred.
- Familiarity with core AWS services used in backend applications: EC2, S3, RDS, SQS/SNS, or Lambda.
- Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) and how services are packaged and deployed.
- Comfort working with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git) in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Experience with Golang and gRPC-based microservices.
- Exposure to event-driven or streaming architectures (Kafka, Kinesis, SQS).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration concepts.
- Experience with AWS managed data services: Kinesis, Glue, Step Functions, or MSK.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.

Why this role matters:
We are seeking a Staff Engineer / Staff Architect to provide end-to-end technical leadership across our Jumper AI / Conversational Commerce platform. This role spans backend systems, frontend architecture, cloud infrastructure, and platform design, with responsibility for guiding teams building Journey Builders, event-driven orchestration engines, commerce and payment platforms, and multi-channel messaging systems.
You will operate at the architecture and system design layer, working across multiple teams and domains rather than owning a single feature. The role requires deep technical judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to balance product velocity with long-term platform health.
Your key responsibilities:
- Define and evolve platform architecture across backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure.
- Lead architectural design for complex systems, including workflow orchestration engines, Journey Builders, commerce, and messaging platforms.
- Establish architectural principles, patterns, and standards that scale across teams and products.
- Provide technical leadership for distributed, event-driven backend systems with strong reliability guarantees.
- Guide frontend architecture for complex, high-scale products, ensuring performance, consistency, and usability.
- Drive cloud-native design on Google Cloud Platform with a focus on scalability, resilience, and operational excellence.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor, mentoring senior engineers and influencing cross-team technical decisions.
What you'll bring
- 12+ years of experience building and operating large-scale, production-grade software systems.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and event-driven platforms.
- Strong hands-on background in backend system design using Python or Go lang or similar ecosystems.
- Proven experience designing workflow engines, routing systems, or stateful execution platforms.
- Solid understanding of frontend architecture principles and performance considerations for complex UIs.
- Strong cloud architecture experience, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence decisions across engineering, product, and leadership teams.
- Treats AI assisted engineering as a core part of modern software practice, leveraging AI tools to enhance design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while guiding the team in adopting effective patterns and evolving best practices for AI enabled ways of working.
Experience we consider a plus:
- Prior experience as a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, or Platform Architect.
- Experience defining internal platform standards adopted by multiple teams.
- Exposure to SRE practices such as SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Experience working on revenue-critical, high-traffic, or regulated systems.
