We are looking for a Senior Database Developer (PostgreSQL/MySQL/AWS Aurora, SQLite) to join our team in a Hybrid (Bangalore, Hyderabad or Mohali) capacity, reporting to the Senior Director, Software Engineering. Senior DevSecOps Engineer
Position Summary
The Senior DevSecOps Engineer will be embedded within product engineering teams to implement and maintain secure, automated, and reliable delivery pipelines while following standards, frameworks, and guardrails set by the DevSecOps Center of Excellence (CoE).
This is a hands-on role that reports to the Manager of DevSecOps and works directly with developers, SREs, and product managers to enable faster, safer deployments, cost-efficient infrastructure, and adherence to enterprise security policies. The engineer will collaborate closely with Principal and Senior Staff DevSecOps engineers for technical guidance and mentoring while operating within the centralized DevSecOps leadership framework.
Key Responsibilities
Product Line DevSecOps Execution
· Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD) for the assigned product line.
· Integrate security testing (SAST, SCA, DAST, container scanning) into build and deployment workflows.
· Apply CoE standards, templates, and automation frameworks consistently within product environments.
· Troubleshoot and resolve DevSecOps issues, escalating complex challenges to Staff/Principal engineers.
Infrastructure & Automation
· Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for product infrastructure.
· Adopt GitOps practices for repeatable and auditable infra provisioning.
· Ensure infrastructure deployments comply with security guardrails, tagging, and cost controls.
Observability, Security & Compliance
· Collaborate with SREs to enable monitoring, logging, and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, New Relic, CloudWatch).
· Ensure pipelines and infrastructure comply with HIPAA, SOC2, and internal security standards.
· Embed IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub into workflows for cloud security posture.
FinOps & Cost Awareness
· Implement CoE-defined cost governance practices in product pipelines.
· Ensure workloads are tagged, right-sized, and cost-efficient.
· Provide cost visibility to product teams and support FinOps reviews.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
· Work closely with developers, QA, SRE, and product managers to support secure and efficient delivery.
· Participate in CoE knowledge-sharing sessions, playbooks, and Communities of Practice.
· Contribute feedback from product teams back into the CoE to improve standards and frameworks.
· Continuously learn from Staff and Principal engineers and apply best practices within the product line.
Qualifications & Experience Required
· 8+ years in DevOps, Cloud, or Security Engineering.
· Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD).
· Proficiency in AWS services (EKS, ECS, EC2, S3, IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty).
· Hands-on with containers & Kubernetes (Docker, EKS).
· Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation).
· Familiarity with observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, New Relic, CloudWatch).
· Programming/scripting in Python, Go, or shell scripting.
· Strong collaboration skills in cross-functional product teams.
Preferred
· Experience in SaaS or healthcare software environments.
· Knowledge of databases (MongoDB, Elasticsearch, SQL).
· Familiarity with compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC2, ISO 27001).

This is an exciting position where you will be exposed to a variety of environments and technologies within different organizations around the world. As a valued member of the team you will be working closely with all disciplines such as BE Engineers, FE Engineers, QA Engineers, Solution Architects and Business Analysts on the successful delivery of Backbase software to our customers.
Being a consultant at Backbase means taking ownership of your projects and enabling our customers to set up their environments from test to production. You will analyze the particular situation, the needs and existing set up of our customers to provide documented guidelines for the implementation. You give advice on security standards and optimizing performance.
You design, develop and oversee the implementation of solutions that improve the stability, scalability, availability and latency of our product. At Backbase we focus on providing solutions instead of workarounds. You are in close contact with customers and partners which leads to valuable input to improve our product in your collaboration with our R&D teams.
How about You?
You have designed and/or built mission critical services (large scale internet or cloud-based services) and have proven experience with production systems and dealing with production issues:
● You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
● You have a working knowledge of Maven, Jenkins, and Shell;
● You have experience deploying Java applications, JVM tuning, Tomcat;
● You have experience with Cloud (AWS or Google cloud), as well as expertise with Linux/Unix systems.
● You have been exposed to DEVOPS tools such as Travis CI, GitLabs, Jenkins, GoCD, Chef, Salt, Puppet, Terraform, Cloud formation.
It would be great if you also have:
● Experience with any of the following configuration tools: Ansible (preferable);

The Role
We are looking for an elite engineer who builds like a hacker and communicates like a consultant. You will not just be building models in a notebook; you will be deployed to the front lines to build, architect, and ship end-to-end Agentic AI products directly for our most strategic customers.
This is a high-stakes role. You will face "tricky" customers who have vague requirements and high expectations. Your job is to translate their chaos into technical order, write production-grade code, and deploy autonomous agents that solve their actual business problems.
What You Will Do
Design and ship full-stack AI applications. You own the pipeline from data ingestion to the LLM inference layer to the frontend interface.
Architect autonomous agentic workflows (using frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or custom implementations) that can reason, plan, and execute complex tasks.
Write robust, clean, and highly testable code (Python/Typescript). "It works on my machine" is not acceptable; it must work in the customer's restricted cloud environment.
Handle DevOps and MLOps constraints: Dockerizing agents, managing Kubernetes clusters, and optimizing inference latency.
Serve as the technical face of the company for our most demanding accounts.
Navigate complex stakeholder environments. You will push back on unrealistic demands, clarify ambiguous requirements, and steer "tricky" customers toward technically feasible solutions without breaking rapport.
Translate technical constraints into business value for non-technical executives.
Generate high-quality data for our customers and ability to review the data generated by other experts. This is one of the most critical aspects of the role.

The Software Engineer (Cloud Foundations) will work on core product systems using Kubernetes, Go, and Python. This role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, from concept to observability, across the stack. We use Terraform for repeatable, safe, infrastructure-as-code installations, including our bring-your-own-cloud (BYOC) offering. The ideal candidate values deep troubleshooting and holistic system ownership.
You will contribute reviewed code, pair with experienced engineers, and have a dedicated mentor. Interns do not hold the production pager neither on-call. Early weeks are for onboarding; mid-term involves owning a concrete ticket/mini-project; and by the end, a demo or résumé write-up is expected.
The role involves hands-on use of industry-standard tools, containers, Kubernetes, Terraform IaC, and CI/CD with guardrails. You will practice debugging beyond local environments. Optional stretch work on areas like async jobs, ingress, or orchestration is available with senior engineers.

The Role
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with a Software Engineering background to join our rapidly growing global team supporting SaaS products. You are an experienced PHP developer with proficiency in DevOps/Infrastructure tooling and expertise in cloud platforms and operations.
In this role, you will apply your Software Engineering experience to enhance system performance and reliability, as well as building internal systems and capabilities that eliminate manual work through automation.
You'll be joining our Platforms teams with globally dispersed Site Reliability and Platform Engineers in a "follow the sun" model to operate our products on a multi-region cloud platform.
