Senior CDP Operations Manager
Job Description:
As a Senior CDP Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and managing client implementations of the CDP platform. You will collaborate closely with internal and client technical teams as they design and enhance integrations and experiences, ensuring smooth execution and operational alignment. This role also involves assisting with training, documentation, and platform enablement to help teams fully understand and leverage CDP capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years’ experience in a data operations or CDP-related role
- Ability to communicate effectively with Engineering, Solutions, Product, and Client teams
- Experience with identity resolution concepts and omnichannel data integrations
- Experience with database and data modeling across omnichannel inputs and internal systems
- Knowledge of requirements-gathering techniques and technical architectures
- Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, BigQuery and SFTP workflows
- Strong understanding of ESPs and marketing data environments
- Knowledge of data architecture, field mappings, and transformation logic
- Experience with data privacy compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA) preferred
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of how data flows, i.e., where data originates, data transformation, and end stage of data, for documentation purposes as well as research
- An understanding of database table structures, field mappings, data dictionaries
- Working with various data sources
- QC data reporting and/or data visualization dashboards
- Monitor daily data flows, ensure SLAs, and proactively identify trends or anomalies
- Analyze and/or triage data issues
- Research data issues and ensure they are escalated to higher levels if not able to see through to complete resolution
- Oversee daily execution of CDP processes, including data ingestion, transformation, and activation.
- Ensure downstream systems receive timely and accurate data.
- Clear communication of issues through JIRA as well as to Engineers and Solution Developers
- Support team as needed in evolving the platform and the monitoring strategies
- Assist where needed with the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions
- Recommend solutions to improve, and gain efficiencies for new and existing database systems
- Help identify Platform (technology) Optimization and/or Enhancements
- Assist with answering client questions, research, and data requests
- Assist internal and client teams to design, enhance and maintain integrations and experiences within the platform
- Assist with teaching, training, and documenting platform features and usability
- Propose both technical and high-level solutions based on client requirements
- Communicate directly with clients around data issues, research questions, and new projects
- Discuss project and/or monitoring requirements with clients
- Prioritize client projects, issues, and daily data monitoring appropriately.

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with strong experience in BigQuery, SQL, and Qlik to support financial reporting and analytics. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial metrics, be comfortable working with large datasets, and translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business and finance stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing financial and sales data, creating insightful reports, and providing strategic recommendations and driving data-driven insights and initiatives to optimize Financial performance and efficiency. This role involves interpreting complex data sets, identifying trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data visualization tools, and the ability to communicate findings effectively are essential for this position.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- 5 years of hands-on experience with data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., Salesforce, SQL, Python, R, Qlik/Tableau, Excel). SQL is a MUST HAVE.
- Experience in finance operations or data analyst role.

About the Role
Are you passionate about building reliable, scalable data platforms that make analytics and AI development easier? As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be hands-on in building, operating, and improving our core data platform and AI/LLM enablement tooling.

- Build, deploy, and operate cloud infrastructure for data and AI workloads using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

ABOUT THE ROLE:
As an Engineering Manager at Tide,
- You’re an experienced Engineering Manager with strong technical and people-leadership skills, comfortable operating at scale and driving impact through well-designed platforms.
- You’ll lead the engineering delivery of our subscriptions platform across multiple markets, owning the technical direction and execution of systems that power subscription creation, pricing, lifecycle managements. You’ll focus on building scalable, resilient, and extensible platform capabilities that support growth and evolving business needs.
- You’ll manage and develop a team of engineers, setting clear technical standards and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. Partnering closely with Product and stakeholders across the business, you’ll turn product strategy into reliable platform solutions and ensure high-quality delivery across the full subscription lifecycle.
- You’ll be part of the Member Engagement Marketing (MEM) engineering group, working closely with Billing, Payments, Marketing, Data, and Finance teams. Together, you’ll deliver a robust and transparent subscriptions platform that enables seamless member experiences and long-term value.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Extensive experience (10+ years) building server-side applications and detailed knowledge of Java.
- Sound knowledge of a backend framework (e.g. Spring/Spring Boot)
- Experience with running microservices and implementing and consuming RESTful APIs
- Experience engineering scalable and reliable solutions in a cloud-native environment
- A mindset of delivering secure, well-tested and well-documented software
- Full ownership of your code and technical solutions across their entire lifecycle, from development to production.
- Experience integrating with various third party providers and partners
- Sound knowledge and experience working with relational databases.
- Work effectively in an agile environment, using its practices to deliver value consistently and adapt quickly.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Apply continuous integration, delivery, and deployment practices in day-to-day development to deliver software reliably to production.
- A technical hands on leader who is in the details of what the team is working on day to day.

OUR TECH STACK:
- Java, Spring Boot and JOOQ to build the RESTful APIs of our microservices (but we welcome people who are used to any strongly typed general purpose programming language!)
- Event-driven architecture with messages over SNS+SQS and Kafka to make them reliable
- Primary datastores are PostgreSQL via RDS or Aurora (we are heavy AWS users)
- Docker, Terraform, ArgoCD and, EKS provided by the Cloud team to run the platform
- DataDog for monitoring, observability and automated SLOs
- GitHub, Semgrep and solid testing to power the CI/CD pipelines - new joiners are encouraged to have something deployed to production in their first week
- Angular on Web, Flutter for our mobile app, but from time to time we use Swift and Kotlin
- Fivetran/BigQuery/Looker for the BI insights and Python/FastAPI/Faust + some ML libs for the automated decisioning and risk management

Essential Criteria
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Backend Software Developer, with a strong portfolio of projects involving data processing and API development.
- Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Go, Node.js). Python is highly preferred given its prevalence in data science and ML.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, App Engine, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
- Demonstrable experience in designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Solid understanding of database technologies, both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Firestore), and experience with data modelling.
- Experience with data pipeline tools and concepts (e.g., Apache Beam/Dataflow, Airflow) for ETL/ELT processes.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and how to integrate ML models into backend systems.
- Basic understanding of the total marketing process and the strategic role of insights and media.
- An appreciation for how data insights are used in various media channels (e.g., paid search, programmatic display, social media, SEO) to inform strategy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with off-shore or distributed teams is highly desirable.
- Experience integrating data into Google BigQuery from various sources, including direct API connections and data integration platforms (e.g., Adverity).
- Experience with leveraging AI/ML capabilities within the GCP ecosystem, such as connecting to large language models (e.g., Google's Gemini API) or utilising platforms like Vertex AI to enrich and analyse data stored in BigQuery.
Preferred Criteria
- Experience with stream processing technologies (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with data security and privacy best practices.
