The Role
As our Software Engineer (Connected Play) you will help families play together, even when they are apart. You will work within our game teams to implement secure, real-time multiplayer features, transforming our single-device hits into shared experiences that connect living rooms.
You will focus on the gameplay implementation of our connected features. You will solve the unique engineering challenges of synchronizing motion gaming — ensuring that a tennis swing in New York feels instant and fair to a player in London. You will help bring connected experiences to titles like Tennis Smash: Racketville, Bowling Strike and HomeRun Heroes: StarStrikers.
What You'll Do
- Implement real-time multiplayer features, ensuring physics, scores, and player movements are synchronized accurately across devices.
- Implement safety-first networking features. You will build restricted matchmaking and communication systems (e.g., non-verbal emotes, pre-set phrases) that keep our ecosystem safe for children.
- Refactor single-player codebases, adapting existing game logic to support multiplayer without breaking the original "game feel."
- Solve gameplay networking challenges, such as smoothing out jittery movement (interpolation) and optimizing bandwidth for average Internet connections.
- Collaborate with Game Artists to ensure visual effects and animations sync perfectly for every player.
- Collaborate with the Developer Experience Team, acting as the primary user of their SDKs and providing feedback to help improve the developer experience.
Must-Have
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C# and the Unity ecosystem.
- Deep understanding of Networking Fundamentals. You are fluent in concepts like RPCs, state synchronization, and authority (host vs. client).
- Proficiency with Unity Network Stacks. You have hands-on experience building features with Photon Fusion, Mirror, or Netcode for GameObjects etc.
- Experience with asynchronous programming in Unity (UniTask, async/await or coroutines).
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code.

What We Look For In You

3+ years of product management experience, with at least 1 year focused on AI/ML-powered products (chatbots, recommendation systems, AI agents, copilots, or similar). Crypto/fintech product experience is a strong advantage.

Deep understanding of AI product paradigms — Ability to articulate the differences between RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and agent-based architectures, and know when to apply each. You have hands-on experience with LLM-based product design, evaluation, and iteration.

Strong technical intuition — Comfortable reading API documentation, discussing system architecture with engineers, understanding data pipelines, and prototyping with tools like Python, prompt playgrounds, or no-code/low-code AI platforms. You don't need to be a developer, but you think like one.

The Role
Nex’s mission to help families rediscover the joy of movement transcends region and language. As our Contract Software Engineer (Localization), you will be at the forefront of ensuring our games and content are localized and ready for a larger audience. You will work with fellow engineers, artists, designers, and project managers to ensure all content is localized to the highest quality.
What You Will Bring to the Table
- Prepare our games for localization, upgrading relevant libraries and extracting contents.
- Improve UI layout and placement so they work with different locales.
- Contribute to the localization process, providing feedbacks or creating more automations.

The Role
As our Software Engineer, Developer Experience, you will help shape the future of interactive physical gaming and realize Nex’s very bold vision: “Create the best motion games for hundreds of millions of people to play on”. We build tools and frameworks so that exciting game ideas can be brought to fruition. We also coordinate deployments so that our customers can play our experiences in home, in game shows and interactive demos at retail locations.
What You'll Do
- Understand bottlenecks and pain points of game developers, including designers and fellow engineers.
- Build tools to streamline game developments, from brainstorming, development to deployment.
- Support external studios implement games with our technology stack.
- Collaborate with our producer team to ensure smooth delivery of games and contents in our content pipeline.
- Help push the boundaries through active exploration, refinement of processes, and adoption of new technologies.
- Participate in knowledge sharing, technical discussions and code reviews.
Must Have
- 3–5 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: C#, Kotlin, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience maintaining software libraries and / or writing documentation.
- Experience with tooling and automation.
