Senior Full Stack Engineer - Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Contractor) to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role is fully remote, offering an opportunity to contribute to exciting projects with the potential to transition into a long-term contractor position. As part of our highly experienced engineering team, you’ll work closely with Dave Brennan and be part of his team, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with him directly, learn from his experience, influence design decisions, and drive innovation while keeping the customer’s needs at the forefront.
WHO YOU ARE
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer (Contractor), you will develop advanced solutions using cutting-edge technologies, including cloud-based services, containerization, AI-driven features, adaptive process automation, and more. We’re looking for a passionate and innovative developer eager to build and scale the next wave of Hyperproof’s capabilities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Develop and design engaging user experiences using TypeScript and React, Java, C#; Go experience is also valuable.
- Design backend components, including REST APIs, queueing, storage systems, security layers (role-based access control, encryption), and more.
- Leverage AI-powered development tools (e.g., code assistants, automated testing, and analysis tools) to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.
- Contribute to and help evolve AI-driven product features, including intelligent automation and adaptive workflows.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand customer needs and translate them into software solutions.
- Own the quality and performance of the applications you build, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, compliant, and meet both customer and business expectations.
- Build reusable software components for other developers and business users.
- Implement automated testing and ensure code maintainability through documentation and best practices.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, focusing on design and coding at a component level.
- Professional level of English language proficiency.
- A strong customer-first mindset, with the ability to translate requirements into modern, flexible software solutions.
- Proficiency in FrontEnd and BackEnd technologies.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs using JSON and/or XML.
- Familiarity with cloud services (Azure or similar) for deployment and debugging.
- Expertise in asynchronous programming and scalable software development.
- Understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and the ability to work effectively in agile teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related experience.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and take ownership of projects.
DESIRED DEVELOPERS SKILLS
- TDD (Test Driven Development) and refactoring skills
- Experience in structuring the code for testability to separate unit-testable logic and integration-testable boundary code
- Nice to have: Pairing/mobbing experience and/or XP (eXtreme Programming) experience
This contract-to-hire arrangement provides a path to join the team permanently after successfully completing an exciting 6-12 month project.

The team handles a full spectrum of immigration matters, including family based cases, employment based solutions, citizenship and naturalization, humanitarian options, waivers, consular processing, and deportation defense. The mission is simple and human centered, strengthening families and workforces, one immigrant at a time, while guiding clients step by step through an often confusing process.
We’re hiring a client centered Case Manager who sets every case up for success. You’ll manage the onboarding journey from the first handoff after consultation through checklists, questionnaires, and kickoff calls, then transition each file smoothly to case preparation while keeping clients informed and at ease. This role is fully remote and requires fluent English and Spanish.
What you’ll do:
- Own client onboarding from day one, review attorney consultation notes and the signed representation agreement, identify case type and parties, and create a customized document checklist tailored to case and country of origin.
- Set clients up in the immigration practice management system, configure questionnaires, language settings, and reminders, and send the initial onboarding email with clear steps and timelines.
- Host the Zoom onboarding meeting two days after the initial email, answer questions, align expectations, and establish a weekly cadence for follow ups during onboarding.
- Coordinate documents and data collection, review uploads for completeness and accuracy, request missing items, and guide clients on acceptable formats and sources.
- Draft clean, client ready cover letters and assemble preliminary packets, then route for attorney review. Support online filings through USCIS and Department of State portals when directed.
- Maintain proactive status updates, provide “no update yet” check ins so clients feel supported while cases are pending, and prepare files for interview readiness.
- Field inbound calls and one off questions with patience and clarity, escalating issues that require attorney input.
- Collaborate closely with the attorney and case team, deliver concise updates, spot risks early, and uphold data integrity across systems.
- Model the firm’s service standard, blend technical accuracy with warmth, and help strengthen long term client relationships.
What we’re looking for:
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, non negotiable, with clear, empathetic written and verbal communication.
- Client-facing experience in customer service, patient coordination, or legal support roles; immigration experience is a plus.
- Detail focus and accuracy, comfortable working with forms, checklists, and document standards.
- Ownership and resourcefulness, you bring solutions, ask smart questions, and move work forward independently in a remote setting.
- Tech readiness: confident with practice management software (such as Clio and Docketwise), online filing portals, document management tools (including OneDrive and Microsoft products), and phone systems such as RingCentral.
