Khan Academy India aims to deliver a world class user experience that is locally relevant to learners in India and is enabled by a strong on-the-ground team and operations. Our learning system is mastery based, which allows students to master key concepts at a pace that is right for them before moving on to more challenging content. From serving under 500,000 learners in 2016, we are now serving almost 4 million learners a month across our websites, apps and youtube channels. These learners include both independent learners accessing us at home and teacher directed learners in schools. Our focus is to reach the underserved by making our content accessible in local languages and by working with large public school systems. Khan Academy is available in Hinglish, Hindi, Gujarati, Assamese, Marathi, Punjabi and Kannada.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a person who will help us with data management, transformation, analysis and visualization. The primary focus will be on choosing optimal tools to use for these purposes and then maintaining, implementing, and monitoring them. Optimally you have knowledge of at least one dynamic language and SQL, a good business mindset, and data analysis competencies.
Please note that this is a 12-months contract role, subject to extension further.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Partner Operations and Support team at Khan Academy India sits at the intersection of various state teams, constantly receiving a wealth of valuable, on-the-ground information, ranging from local best practices to powerful testimonials from students, teachers, principals, and government officials. Currently, much of this qualitative data sits with the respective state program teams, and we risk losing these valuable insights over time.
We are looking for a Program Documentation and Learning Coordinator to streamline our knowledge management. In this role, you will act as our internal knowledge hub, synthesizing qualitative insights into structured, easily accessible repositories. You will ensure that when our team prepares for a critical stakeholder meeting (such as with state leadership), we have the necessary best practices and success stories well organized and easy to use. Furthermore, you will champion the dissemination of this knowledge across the team and proactively identify gaps in our current understanding to help us continuously improve.

Deliverable-1: The raw data file shared below contains a few actual messages that were shared by state teams on internal team channels. Based on this qualitative data, extract the key "Best Practices," "Challenges," and "Testimonials." More importantly, define the Tags or Categories you would use to store these in our knowledge repository so they are easily searchable in six months.
Deliverable-2: We have a meeting with a new State Education Secretary next week, and we want to use the insights you created in deliverable-1 to pitch our program. Based on what you read, what critical information is missing from this data that we absolutely need before that meeting?

However, you also understand that good ideas can come from anywhere and are open-minded when working with teammates. You are a flexible multi-tasker who communicates naturally, passionately, and collaboratively. You'll be working exclusively within the digital realm (no print work) and the portfolio you submit should reflect this, but we also love seeing your overall solutions and ideas throughout your book.
